Customers often highlight the excellent performance, impressive build quality, and long battery life of the ROG Zephyrus 15.6" QHD Gaming Laptop. Many also praise its powerful GPU, lightweight design, and vibrant display, along with the keyboard. However, some users mention that the laptop can get hot, and the fan noise can be noticeable. Heat problem on GPU.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought an Open - Box Satisfactory, I inspected it before buying and it looked pristine, so I went for it. Unfortunately upon applying all updates and drivers, the laptop seemed to have a heat problem - per others this seems to be an issue. I was getting 99C GPU temps while running a game that recommended a 900 series GPU. Per my own analysis as well as the Best Buy tech, it seemed a heat problem which was then throttling the card. I am giving it three stars, because I will give the benefit of the doubt that it was just an unusual defect. Additionally the build quality including the keyboard, trackpad, as well as the screen and overall aesthetics were top notch. It felt like a premium machine, in line with Razer Blades. All in all I returned it rather than opting for a warranty repair, as I felt uncomfortable spending this money and getting a new item repaired.

HOT, HOT, HOT machine
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK, so I bought this so I had a gamer laptop that I could use to play Fortnite remotely with my grandsons (daughters & sons too) as I travel. It's terrific gamer! But, and I knew this, it gets HOT! It cannot be set on a lap, and it needs to have completely unrestricted air flow. Having said that, I play with display 2560 x 1380, unrestricted frame rate, and every setting at Epic. Of course, battery life is terrible, but that's not why I bought it. With a playstation controller, it's faster by far than anything I've owned, but again, HOT!

Great
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to play raft and it far exceeded the needs for that game. Now I’ve been trying all sorts of games and not worrying if I have enough power to worry about them

Great overall.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great. Only complaint is that it gets hot pretty fast. It doesn’t effect the overall performance however and it cools fast. Great computer.

Worth every penny!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the best thin and light gaming laptop. Performed really well in GPU intensive game. Also, it keep CPU/GPU in check (below 80 celcius). Highly recomended!

Level up indeed
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an ROG Strix that was a little on the hot and loud side but its hard to find something that competed with my ROG G75 from 2013...this is pretty darn close. There is a small hot spot but it doesn't sound like its about to take off from my desk even on turbo. I am using it to run Unreal Engine and Maya as opposed to playing games and it runs smoothly with no lag thanks to the graphics card. I will more than likely increase the RAM but for now, this machine can do all I need to do and more.

FINE AF
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like it. I feel like I got a lot for my money. I’m not a super big time gamer. I like a good RTS when I have the time. It does everything I need it too, very well. I really like the look of it. Clean and subtle. I’m not into the whole flashy gamer styling of stuff all covered in neon and badges. I do like a nice backlit keyboard with a satisfying click though. It delivers there. I actually like that it doesn’t have a webcam. I’ve never really used one. Touchpad is good. It doesn’t feel flimsy. Big bonus-not having to deal with razer

Most efficient laptop for Gaming
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the most efficient laptop for Gaming and mining. Pulls 60+ on cyberpunk at 2k with DLSS set to auto 140+ on Dota2 running on 4k(Connected to 4k monitor @144hz with gsync) Gets a consistent 51.3Mhs on TREX mining ETH The Ryzen CPU works for Monero mining too if you want to push it. Runs really cool while mining with the right OC settings(60-70 C GPU and CPU) Best laptop you can get for this price

An okay laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price I expected this to be better. It runs really hot. After a year, the E, G, and ,H keys have been bad. They sometimes work and sometimes don’t and I haven’t been able to fix this issue.

Very Impressed
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.IInitial impressions... Coming from a 2020 Razer Blade, this machine is very nice. The form factor is lighter and thinner than the Razer and only a very slight downgrade in build quality. The chassis is very solid, the keyboard is nice to type on and I feel like the customization options are much better than on the Razer. In addition, the display is nicer than I expected. It is plenty bright inside. Though I haven't interacted with them, I am a little concerned with ASUS product support given some of the English translation issues in some of their software. Overall, I'm very impressed.

True gaming laptop!!! Highly recommend.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded my son’s “gaming” laptop to this Asus true gaming laptop. I wasn’t expecting much difference but it was obvious from the moment it booted up that this machine was a massive upgrade. It boots up lightning fast and when my son started playing games like Minecraft and roblox, there was no lag or freezing that we saw with the last laptop. If you truly want a gaming laptop, this will get the job done. It was also nice to be able to immediately download and upgrade windows 11. I would purchase this one again if I needed another gaming laptop.

Amazing laptop with some issues
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is very powerful both in terms of CPU with the 5900HS and GPU with the 3070 Max-Q (I know, not officially a Max-Q but that is what this GPU essentially is). Easily runs most games at 1440p max settings above 60 FPS. The biggest issues that I have with this laptop is that under any kind of load, its fans spin up and sound like a jet engine straight out of the box. I wear a headset most of the time so this is minimal. Another issue that I noticed is that there is some backlight bleed on black screens but this disappears on even the darkest grey screens so this problem is very minimal as well. Overall, amazing laptop but am disappointed that, particularly the fan issue, got past QA.

Nearly Perfect Laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.NEARLY PERFECT! This is from a 2016 Macbook Pro user's perspective. I have a gaming PC as well, but my laptop on the go for everything has been a Mac for the last 8 or so years. I love macOS, I am deep into the Apple ecosystem, but I got tired of Apple overcharging for lackluster hardware (relative to the new Windows laptops). This laptop has been a joy to use. I use iCloud for all my docs, and since it supports windows I can access everything no problem. Battery life is great, constantly seeing around 6-7 hours when doing some work in OneNote or Word, having a few Chrome Tabs open, Spotify running, and Discord in the background. I think you could get at least an hour more on lighter use with the screen less than half brightness (I always have it higher) and lowering the refresh rate (BUT DONT, the 165hz is beautiful). Switching over to the screen, here is where I have some mixed emotions. The display itself is fantastic! QHD resolution is the perfect resolution for laptops in my opinion. The 165hz refresh rate is a joy, and you really can't go back to a 60hz screen (like on Macs) without noticing and missing the extra fluidity. Animations are just so nice and smooth. MY ISSUE lies when I watch videos. For some odd reason, colors everywhere else look great, but any time I fire up something on YouTube colors just look off. People's faces are highlighted more than normal, and it makes things lose detail. I find that odd given its high color accuracy and Pantone certification, and I wonder if it is just my unit. Other than that gripe, it really is a joy to look at. Performance is LEGIT. Best laptop CPU on the market, never hiccups, and blows Intel laptops and even some of their desktop CPUs out of the water! Gaming performance is slightly underwhelming for a 3070 (it has 80watt TDP and 100watts on boost) but hey, it's good enough for Warzone about 80fps on nearly maxed settings at 1440p. Plus, this GPU smashes anything Mac has right now even for productivity. Also, the cooling is great for this thin of a laptop (which is why they have to limit the power of the GPU). All in all, the laptop is a 9/10 for me. I wish the screen were a bit brighter at full brightness (for bright environments), my unit has weird colors when watching videos (other than that it is great, might just be mine anyways), and the portability is about the same as my Macbook Pro 15 but WITH A BETTER KEYBOARD AND MANY PORTS!!! The build quality is solid (not as good as Mac or Razer, but close enough and way cheaper), great battery life for an 8-core beast, and solid for the price. Should you buy one? HECK YEAH! I am a student in law school and it just flies in all my productivity needs. My Mac would get bogged down sometimes with everything I had opened, but this has yet to do that once in the last week+. Great value for the money.

Great specs, horrible cooling
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: great screen, internal specs. Major flaw: Overheats when lid is closed and external monitor is used (no games were played just using win10). Keyboard then becomes unusable when you want to use the internal screen. Being returned
