My son loves this gaming computer that he uses for everything!

Got this laptop about A month ago for Christmas brand new, Was really excited because the power it packed is way more powerful than my desktop it's really exciting to see such a small device hold that much power. But everything started going downhill after a few minutes of using the laptop the screen started glitching and showing its pixels and lines on the screen I'm really disappointed for a laptop this expensive I would expect the screen to at least last me a year or 2 before any problems, but the quality control was really bad on this screen, I was hoping it would get better but now it just gets worse especially when I play games or even just day to day use when I'm using it for school it always just randomly glitches I've tried to ignore it but it's getting more frequent and its really annoying especially since I never really use the screen I usually hook it up to my separate monitor so I barely use it so I haven't done anything to it for it to be glitching so bad, It just really sucks that a laptop this expensive cant have good quality control I really hop I can get a replacement unit!

Good machine with lots of power in an affordable and portable package. The only real complaint I have is that the screen is not bright enough to use outside.

It's a really great computer, however Asus needs to optimize some of the bios and software issues. P to P it's hard to beat with this laptop. at the moment Asus's laptop are the best followed possibly by gigabyte

So far so good. Looks nice, and performs the way it’s needed to. It’s true the fan is loud, and there is a little backlight bleed. Glad it had a lot of storage bc that 1tb fills up quick.

great computer peforms well but only issue i have the fans are super loud and doesnt take much for the fans to kick in

I pre-ordered this the moment I saw it come up. I was super excited by the Asus' CES announcements and the launch price was better than I expected. In 2020, the Zephyrus G14 was an absolute hit, so Asus' decision to redesign the G15 to become a 15" version of the G14 with enough volume for more powerful GPUs was genius. Unless you need the portability of the G14 or can't live without the AniMe Matrix display, the 2021 G15 completely eliminated the need to buy the higher spec'd version of the G14. For $200 less than the top spec 2021 G14, you get a faster and larger 15.6" display (same QHD resolution) and a better GPU (3070 vs 3060), but only half the RAM (16GB vs 32GB). Unfortunately, half of the RAM on this machine (8GB) is soldered, so even if you replace the other 8GB SO-DIMM with something larger (I use 32GB for a total of 40GB), only 8GB of it will run as dual channel memory, which has the potential to hurt your performance if a game happens to load in the single channel, upper memory of the second SO-DIMM. This laptop is also loaded with speakers, more speakers than some people have in their cars. And yes, they sound pretty good and can get pretty loud. Spec-wise, this is the gaming laptop to beat and Asus will try with the Zephyrus M16, which is the same price as this G15, but with an Intel i9 & RTX 3060 GPU. The RTX 3070 M16 isn't available at the time of this review.

Great gaming computer. Purchased for my brother and he loves it

This laptop has been a really good investment. It’s good for casual gaming, has a decent battery life, and looks good. The only downside I have experienced is the design on the top making it a little hard to clean, but other than that minor complaint I have had a great experience with this laptop. I do wish it had a webcam as well though.

Very powerful machine. Pushed everything I wanted to run without a single issue. 3D mark scores were fantastic for just a laptop. But my most favorite thing of all is definitely the display. The color and ppi makes it look like an oled/4k!! I would not regret purchasing this if you’re looking for a great high end laptop.

Excellent laptop that has incredible battery life. I have not ran into any issues at all. The screen at 165HZ is beautiful to view, and playing games on it has little to no problems. I also really enjoy the bigger touchpad for this generation. The fingerprint reader is way better and more precise from the previous generation. I would recommend this laptop if you ever get the chance to purchase it!

took me a long time to finally decide to get a gaming laptop after research and reading hundreds of reviews i was still on the fence solely because of price until this model went on sale and i finally made the purchase.in short i wish i would have of bought a long time ago even at full price all i see is value here runs everything i have thrown at it

I originally bought the Asus M16 so I will be using that as my basis for the review. One large difference you'll notice right away is the screen. The brightness on this model doesn't get nearly as bright. Other than the missing camera, and slightly form factor the two are very similar computers. I have heard that the fan noise on the M16 is significantly louder than the G15 but not so much as to not consider the M16. Overall while testing overwatch on both I noticed about a 20 FPS difference between the models. That's while running at the native ultra HD resolution. My one complaint is that the fingerprint sensor doesn't work as reliably as I'd like. If you're stuck between choosing one of these two models I'd recommend getting both and returning the one you like least. The subtle differences comeout better with daily use.
