Asus forces the install of Asus System Control Interface V2 and My Asus application. Even if you clean install windows, these 2 items will be installed without your consent through windows update. Asus System Control Interface V2 makes it sound like some sort of hardware device but in reality it is Asus monitoring software under the guise of them ensuring that everything is working properly. The following devices/services are installed under the hood without your knowledge: - ASUSLinkNear - ASUSLinkRemote - ASUSOptimization - ASUSSoftwareManager - AsusSoftwareManagerLicense - ASUSSystemAnalysis - ASUSSystemDiagnosis The only way these "trusted services" won't run and connect to ASUS is by severing your internet connection. If you use windows device manager to uninstall, then windows will see an unknown device and promptly reinstall and reenable all of these spying services that ASUS forces everyone to use. If you reboot all of the components will get reinstalled. If you go into windows service management and stop these services they will eventually get restarted. They serve no purpose other than to spy on you and send information back to ASUS. If you then go and install Armoury Crate which is the ASUS control application to change gaming options on the laptop, even if you have Microsoft Edge already installed, they promptly install Microsoft Edge Beta on your computer and force you to use beta software instead of release software. Stay away from all ASUS products that install software as you will just end up being spied on by ASUS, and even if they weren't spying the CPU utilization of the services affect performance and sleeping ability of your device. They only way to avoid all of this is to purchase hardware from Microsoft, Dell, or Razer ... those OEMs seem to be the only companies that make any hardware that allow for clean install of Windows without forced spying software installed.

Absolutely the very best laptop I have owned. Fast and super accurate. With 165 HZ video is just amazing.

Best laptop I have ever bought. Only con is the lack of a Touchscreen and a USB C on both sides instead of one side.

Overall disappointed. Wifi card had to be replaced because it couldn't find any networks. The screws at the bottom the laptop are weak and strip easily. Lastly, my battery crapped out and now I have to replace it myself. I have had this for less than a year. I got this laptop in November for the black friday sale. Stay away from this computer. Not worth the work for the price.
