    This is an okay product, but if you want to do some serious gaming, I'd say go for a larger desktop with a higher TDP.

    Same issue that many others have described regarding the internal speakers. I only just got this laptop and it seems awesome, but when it sounds like you are constantly underwater with the laptop, that is a big dealbreaker for me. Will be returning this unless I can get this fixed. Asus please help!

    Cannot get it to work with Oculus PC link.

    I was so happy to get this system. Great price and features with a 3070. I need it to work properly with Oculus VR and Unreal, but I was unable to make that happen. I looked up the solutions to this issue and found many others with the same problem - a warning that my PC specification were not high enough to run VR. I was unable to get it working using the suggested fixes. I forced the Oculus processes to use the 3070 card, but it would always display the same warning message and the VR performance was unusable. The PC Link functionality was spotty, sometimes it would connect and other times it would not. Finally, it just stopped connecting altogether. I tried many different cables including the official PC Link cable from Oculus. I spent 2 full days trying to get it working, but that was enough. Factory reset and returning it.

    Consider another brand. Purchased this laptop in May of 2021 for $2k without a discount. Did a ton of research, as you've done if you are reading this review, and purchased it as a work laptop with an option to play some classic games when desired. For the most part, the laptop performed as promised... well until one year mark expired. Then my wifi equipment died and stopped working. So my laptop now won't connect to the internet and is out of warranty. So this laptop is pretty much useless as work or traveling laptop. Thus, $2k down the gutter just after the one-year anniversary. For $2k equipment, this is far below expectations. I switched over from Alienware and was considering sticking to Asus for a while but am now considering otherwise. Consider this before spending $1.5k (now before taxes) up to a low $2k+ budget. Disappointed.

    Bricked itself with a basic update

    Updating the laptop's Nvidia video card driver with the correct file from Asus's own website for this specific model killed my machine's OS, causing it to be unable to boot. I wiped the drive and reinstalled Windows, but again, updating the Nvidia driver ruined the OS install. I tried once more with the driver from Nvidia's site directly with the same results. Unworkable machine. Based on other reviews, I'm pretty confident this was a one-off issue with the specific machine I bought, but I'm not risking going through the hassle again to test with a replacement, especially as local stock is unavailable. The 24 hours I had it before updating the driver were great - I loved the screen and keyboard, and the price would be right for what you get if the laptop functions correctly.

    Abysmal quality control by asus you spend nearly $2k on something and it's defective out of box is rough especially for the amount of other people having issues straight away as well. In my case blown speakers straight out sure I didn't buy it to use them but for the price you'd expect everything to work

    I thought i was buying gold, but this system has USB power issues. It would'nt power my xbox one or series X controller though either of the USB ports.If you can't play games on a new gaming computer!!!!! Asus support said it had the lastest drivers.....Even though Linus tech tips said it was the sweet spot. Its not the one to get until issues are fixed.

    Was a really good laptop wish it didn’t do what it did. Games would run amazing when i would Play. Happen to go the cheap route and do a geek squad certified open box. Sadly it didn’t go so good for me. I should Have know something wasn’t right when someone had returned such an amazing laptop. If you get this buy new.

    I bought this laptop open box at a great price. However, This laptop did not come with a discrete graphics card as advertised. It only came with a radeon integrated chipset which performed incredibly slow, like a graphic card from 10 years ago. It even had the 3070 RTX logo and there was not a single item inside that laptop that was made by Nvidia. I returned it to Bestbuy, they tried to give me a comparable laptop but they wanted me to pay an extra $341. I said no and I even had to eat up $30 because it came with a an online webroot anti virus kit that I will never use. At least they gave me a $30 giftcard but seriously that was some terrible mislabeling from the part of BestBuy, beware when shopping Open Box!
