The preinstalled Asus software & firmware are super buggy, and the laptop is barely useable out of the box. However, after spending an hour or two updating everything it is working as expected and the performance is fantastic. The screen and keyboard are great as well. Would definitely recommend, especially if you can get it on sale.

Good gameplay , not so good cooling

I played overwatch 2 on it , fps was good , image quality of the game was good. However the computer got extremely hot. Way too hot. I put my hands on the top where the screen and functions keys are , and you actually feel burn in your hands. Had to return it.

We are sorry to hear about the overheating issues you are having with this model. There's a possibility that there are background apps and Windows updates causing the unit to perform as it does. What we've observed with the Windows 10 operating system is that once the unit is not being used all background and installed apps including Windows updates will fire up and check for and install updates. This will cause the unit to run a bit hotter than normal and in turn ramp up the fan speed. We would recommend that the user check for and install all updates for all installed applications. Also check for Windows updates and make sure they're installed. multiple restarts are recommended to ensure all updates are installed.
