Initially it was perfect. The cpu, gpu, ddr5 ram, and 2k display was too difficult to pass up on. After setting it up I noticed wifi speeds being slower than expected and the computer would not enter "sleep" mode. Shutting the lid did not stop the fans or anything from running. The fans actually sped up and got louder after closing the lid. After researching, I determined it was the Asus Armoury Crate software. Uninstall of that didnt go as expected so I did a fresh install of windows 11. Problem went away until I reinsalled the Armoury Crate software. (This software has too many benefits not to have). After more research I turned off bluetooth (just turned off, not disabled) and it finally would enter sleep mode. Typically it takes 2 full minutes to enter sleep mode. After this issue was resolved i finally got to enjoy the laptop and would recommend it to anyone wanting a powerhouse, this is it. It gets a bit hot near the screen under heavy use, but the cpu and gpu held steady while gaming. I only knocked one star because the extra steps to get it to sleep. Overall Im very pleased.

The only negative thing i have to say is that the fan is a bit loud, but other than that, it's pretty much amazing

The fans reach nearly 50 decibels, which is almost as loud as your average conversation. I always had it on a charger so I had no clue about it's battery life. The display at full resolution is very nice, but I turned it down to 1920x1080 because I run the pc with multiple monitors.

Bought it for its intended use, gaming. Performed excellent, but possible design flaw for heat fan location, the heat warps screen frame. Returned initial purchase thinking it might be a one time fluke but checked out 2 others with what looked like the beginning of the same problem. Cant be spending that kinda money and having my laptop look like a cheap knock off.

Best All Around Laptop

So far I'm very happy with my choice! I feel like this has the perfect combination of specs, all latest generation, a great screen, and great build quality. Unless you *need* a super-powered gaming laptop, this should be more than you need in a laptop for a while. I also got this on sale for $1400. So if you can wait a little bit, if it went on sale once, it's bound to do it again.
