Very nice laptop! Im a seafarer and i wanted to buy this gaming laptop as my first gift to my self as a seafarer. No problem at all! And i bought this for 1199 only.

Overall a great laptop for music can handle pretty much anything you throw at it when it comes to FL studio and handles DAW software great.

Has an issue with ethernet port. When OS is in sleep mode, port needs to be resync. to achieve connection.

I was rather surprised that the box only came with a charging cable and the unit itself.. no extra accessories like a mouse or a laptop bag which is what I see on some youtube reviews. If this was a true sale, they cut down to the basics definitely. Was updating the system when it hung up on the logo stage. A glitch nonetheless. Lets see what else happens

Got it used and it was basically brand new. Ive been using for about 2 weeks and it just works. Design isnt over the top which i like.

It was the only option they had there for gaming laptops but as a new user and a not very experienced person with technology, i gotta say it has what you need and i havent had a complaint!

The Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 is one of Asus' newest laptops in its ROG lineup. It includes many of the latest hardware available and spec-wise, looks like a great futuristic laptop. The Zephyrus G15 laptop comes with the laptop itself and a 200W charger. The 2k resolution, 165Hz laptop screen included is rated 100% DCI-P3 meaning a wider array of colors are used as compared to the older sRGB standard. This definitely shows as regular webpages, pictures, movies, and video games, all look great with spectacular, vibrant colors. The lid of the laptop shows a reflective glow when in the light and also adds a nice aesthetic touch. As for lighting, the keyboard is a backlit RGB keyboard without a number keypad. It has 4 extra keys (one is to mute your microphone!) with pre-assigned functions and also has the ability to assign macros and custom functions to a number of key combinations using Asus' Armory Crate software. Something to note is that the laptop has a total of 16GB of RAM memory and not only 8GB. 8GB soldered to the motherboard + 8GB removable. Inside, there is also a second M.2 SSD slot available to use. Now onto the performance. The Ryzen 9 6900HS paired with the Nvidia RTX 3060 makes a very nice combination for some video editing, gaming, as well as running every day applications for school work and work, period. The laptop boots very quickly and many popular video games like Warzone, Fortnight, and Apex are able to be played without any issues. When using high settings and playing in 2k resolution in Warzone, I noticed the framerate ranged from 60-70 fps (Note: I recommend updating to the latest Nvidia RTX 3060 drivers. Before the update, the framerate ramged from 42-50 fps. A difference of 18 frames!) In 1080p resolution, I noticed the framerate higher, between 80-100 fps. In 2k resolution using high graphics settings for Apex Legends, I noticed the framerate was between 85-100fps. Another thing to note was that the computer became hot. This didn't surprise me as this is common for other gaming laptops and the area that became very hot was the area above the keyboard. Temperatures for the CPU reached 83 degrees Celsius and 80 degrees celsius for the GPU after gaming for sometime. In addition to the performance, other things I liked that were included were the MUX switch for switching between the CPU's integrated graphics and the RTX 3060, battery optimizations coded into the new 6th gen AMD processor, DDR5 memory, PCI-e 4.0 ssd, and Wi-Fi 6E, many of these for future-proofing and for having the latest hardware. Additionally, its weight feels well balanced and not too heavy to carry it around in a backpack (4.2 lbs). As for the battery life, I was able to achieve over 7 hours while web browsing and working on multiple documents for school work. Great battery life for a gaming laptop! (Something to note is I did have the keyboard backlight off, the screen brightness was set to the second lowest setting, and the MUX Switch was on MSHybrid as compared to only the Discrete graphics setting.) Although the Zephyrus checks many of my personal boxes for what I enjoy in a laptop, my biggest gripes about the laptop are that it wakes up from sleep easily and that there is some backlight bleed (more QC needed). The sleep issue has taken me some troubleshooting to figure out but it came down to disabling allowing connected USB devices to wake the PC in the power settings or Device Management settings. Also, my laptop arrived with a very small gap on the top right edge of the screen between the screen and top lid. Although not noticeable, if you squeeze it a little, you would be able to feel it (not trying to be picky, the left corner doesn't have this issue). Overall, I thoroughly enjoy the ROG Zephyrus G15 and can recommend it to those wanting an every day fast laptop. With the ability to also play video games, there is a lot this laptop has to offer.

I wanted a VR ready gaming laptop that could handle the VR games. This Laptop has done that and more. My VR games run smooth and the graphics are mind blowing

My Laptop came with a faulty screen. Vertical lines mashed together to where I can’t even set up the laptop. I don’t know if it’s the GPU or just the display going bad. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this Laptop. However, for a product of this price, this is embarrassing.

When I got past the initial set up and did all the window updates, and then bios updates, it said that the charger wasn’t plugged in correctly, and after looking it up on Google turns out that some units are having this same problem and all it takes is a simple Google check to see that it’s a real thing. There is nothing you can do but return it or send it in for repair… so, did I mention this is my 2nd unit? And yes, it was plugged in correctly

Got this laptop for my wife as a Christmas gift, it has an open M.2 Storage slot so I added a 2 TB M.2 and since I'm a totaltech member they installed it for free.

I was really eager to see how this machine performed. I've gamed for the past year on a 2021 Zephyrus G14 so I didn't think I'd experience much difference. More screen space and a taller ratio do make this machine quite a bit more useful to me. The video is really nice and that 3060 gives it plenty of power to max out the video settings in my favorite games. The keyboard feels nicer, as if there's a bit more travel and the keys are a bit snappier. The touchpad is huge so it doesn't seem like a penalty when I flip the laptop open to use it without a mouse. USB ports are on the left side, so as a right-handed gamer, the USB cable isn't in my way when I plug in a wired mouse or headset. There's even a micro SD slot which makes my photography workflow much more convenient. There's one goofy quirk with backlighting the keys that's really annoying. The keys are dark. They are translucent where the RGB lighting shines through and illuminates the keys, but that translucence is also dark, so if the backlighting is off, you can't read the keys unless you're in bright light. Making the quirk even more annoying, I think closing the lid turns off the backlighting, and it doesn't turn back on by itself when you open the lid. That means you can't find the key to turn the backlighting back on. Maybe there's a setting somewhere, I haven't figured it out. It comes with a 200w charger. Use it! I found that on high performance settings, it discharges faster than USB-C can deliver power. I was really eager to open the case to see what upgrades were possible. My laptop arrived with 16gb RAM -- 8 on the board and 8 in the slot. As of this writing, the Bestbuy site has it listed as only 8gb RAM, and the Asus site had conflicting information, listing it as 8 gb some places and 16gb others. I suspect that they might have shipped it with 8gb if they couldn't get the memory expansion by the time they released the laptop. Games run just fine on this laptop with 16gb RAM. I've played hours of Grim Dawn on this, and it has no problem jumping to different areas or fighting with dozens of monsters on the screen, at maximum video settings. My game library is a bit too big to fit on the SSD, but that's no surprise, I can live with that. Besides, there's an open m.2 slot for an easy storage upgrade. You can add a 2nd drive without having to transfer your system to a different disk. I'm happy with this laptop. I think it's a good compromise with performance and portability. Now I'm off to search for a USB-C docking station that can deliver enough power to let it game and charge at the same time.

The best and fastest laptop I've ever had....and I am a gamer included Virtual reality....

The laptop is good overall. The only issue I faced is screen flickering while playing some games. It maybe a driver issue, will update here if I figure it out.
