Disappointing computer

Besides, sometimes when you turn on the compurer, you will find that the network card driver cannot work for no reason, and you need to reinstall the driver to find the network.

If you are experiencing stability or performance issue with the laptop, please check if Windows, drivers and BIOS are up to date. Keeping Windows updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. While accessing cloud games or web applications, please ensure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since poor and unstable internet connection will definitely affect system speed and performance. If these steps were already performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. If this is not pre-installed on the laptop, please download the application at the Microsoft Store. For details on how to use "My ASUS", please go to: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1041686/.
It is normal that excessive heat is generated while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.

Just what I needed

I run DaVinci Resolve and needed more power on a laptop, moving up from a i7 computer. The Rygen 9 on the ASUS has cut my work time enormously. The keyboard took some getting used to, vs a keyboard with number pad, but, that was only a temporary inconvenience. After retraining my fingers for the short keyboard, this is incredible.

Annoying issues

First unit I got had terrible backlight bleed. I exchanged it for another one and the second unit has hinge creaking. I'll try one a third unit. If this one has issues too, I'll just get another laptop.

Great while it worked

Played games with high/ ultra settings with no lag. Keyboard feels great and looks really nice. Beautiful/ crisp display. Bought it October 2022 and now the display doesnt work and it is out of warranty. I can't even get an image to show up on an external display. I will never recommend a product this expensive that lasts only long enough for the warranty to expire. I've done some reading on people's experience with ASUS service, and I didn't find any happy experuences. I am unsure what to do with this expensive paperweight at this time.

The machine powers through most tasks effortlessly. Another con here would be the lack of large storage on this after paying $1500+ one would expect 1TB at least but this comes only with 512 GB of storage.

I use it for work and for games! It doesnt look like a traditional gaming laptop with all the flair. Its a much more subdued standard looking (but thin!) device. Would recommend!
