Ive had this laptop for about a year and a half... its great when you dont have any issues! However about 6 months into owning it i had a fan go out. I contacted asus to get a part and they told me i had to send it back and that would be the only way to fix it. I ended up finding a knockoff one that works great after they refused to sell me a replacement part. I am now writing this today as my 3060 died and is no longer working. Had high hopes for this rog zephryus but now here i am a few months out of warranty with a paperweight

I had issues with Armoury Crate, which was very disappointing. You need to uninstall the program and then reinstall it from Asus. Geek Squad was awesome in figuring out what was wrong and correcting the problem.

Overheats sighing just a few minutes of being on… gets very hot to the touch. None of the power features would work - won’t sleep when closing lid, etc - drivers don’t work with my wireless hdmi or my dj software. Likes to shutoff randomly and freeze up, probably overheated. I can turn it on and run zero apps and it still over heats. Research keep telling me lots of Windows 11 driver issues… I returned and got the ASUD Zenbook for half the price, no issues and it’s running windows 11 too.

Picked this up based on feedback from a friend that is an avid gamer, animator, and crypto-miner. This model served him well, so I thought but would be more than enough for me to do my schoolwork, launch my Valorant career, and take some introductory coding courses. Definitely up to the challenge.

Everything is great so far as a casual gamer and for school. Running most games (PUBG, Multiversus, HALO, Witcher 3) on max it does make alot of noise but runs great. I bought it on sale and was one of the best purchases. I do recommend buying extra storage i got the samsung ssd 1 TB.

This laptop is pretty good for the price, but beware if you plan on running linux ( if you’re comfortable you can run a modified kernel that might help )it will be a living nightmare and also know that one of the ram slot is soldered on so no upgrades past 32GB (40GB total)

Great computer but arrived with white patches on the screen that I assume is damage to the screen layers. I was not hope unable to return. Terrible service

The screen on this thing looks better than my 600$ gaming monitor. The Ryzen 9 processor ramps to 4 ghz and stays there easily without throttling. The 3060 is really good at this price point. The fan is a bit loud but not overwhelming.

It’s not bad, but it has a lot of bugs, it is not so fast as it should be. Changed 3 times the laptop because of hardware issues but the 3 laptops with issues, but well, the prices is good.

The customer service is deplorable; they won't assist you or uphold their warranty. Their call center representatives are unfamiliar with ASUS products and merely operate from a script, causing frustration. Despite my desire to appreciate this laptop, the abysmal customer support and service hinder my satisfaction. Additionally, they don't allow you to communicate with anyone in the USA or a manager, which is disheartening.

Great laptop and overall value, however I'm experienceing an issue with video playback. It works incredibly well in every other aspect including moving images and videos within games. Only has issues with watching other videos.

Should be shipped with more RAM at this price point and the screen goes blank for a minute sometimes. Excepting that capable machine, handles rendering fairly well, compiling code is a breeze and games look stunning.

Worth it! Plays every game out right on epic settings flawlessly. I highly recommend getting a laptop riser for the cooling because it does get extremely hot without one. I use this daily for gaming and video editing on the fly for drone footage.

First of all, and most importantly, the performance: the FPS I’m getting on 1440p is pretty decent. Hits around 40 on Fortnite Epic settings, and in 1080P mode, it’s runs at 58 to 60 consistently. Forza was super smooth, especially without motion blur, which I think is the element of the screen refresh rate. I thought playing on my gaming monitor was already good even at 1080p but the screen on this device, at 4K really pops the elements of nature, the road, the season, on Forza. Cyber Punk was smooth, without stuttering—cyberpunk is dark and has a lot of areas where smoke gets in the way of the usual paths, and the rendering was smooth. Mobile games like Raid Shadow Legends of course are so buttery smooth, and the 165hz frame rate is very obviously in effect because it shows insane animations like explosions and magic casts are so crisp—it feels like the game has slowed, only because I cannot see blur and I can see each detail of the movement. The fan gets noisy and it will take some settings to avoid it from triggering at even low demand titles—and we’re talking about real noise—fortunately I usually use a headset so I would not notice it much. The form factor of a 15.6 inch makes a difference too. I was used to playing on a 14 inch machine but I didn’t notice how a 15.6 inch screen can make some difference in terms of playing without too much of a difference from my 14 inch machine. And this laptop is pretty light and slim considering it has a full size HDMI port, an actual Lan port, and (still) USB -A ports. This makes me make sure I get to use my partially dated peripherals. The USB-C though has power delivery—so I can easily hook it up to my USB-C dock and it gets power and still perform well on windowed mode extending my screens to a 4K screen and a gaming 1080p (total of 3 screens= laptop, 4K monitor and 1080p monitor). It still needs to be plugged in with the powerbrick to last, however. The build though is a little flimsy for my liking. Although the feel of the finish is nice and the hinge movements seem smooth, I heard some cracking 2 out of 15 times when I open the lid. It is not alerting but I need to make sure I open it with care if I want this to last. The build is not rock solid like I can throw it in my backpack, but it is decent. Maybe this is how this machine is kept reasonably priced with pretty good gaming performance? It could also be because of the nicely thin bezels-- which was able to house a decent camera that was very responsive to windows hello facial recognition. Sound is decent, but again I usually use a headset. Screen brightness is good—at half setting is still great for patio viewing and the glare is greatly minimized by the screen. The color output on the screen is very rich—the 4K quality on high settings on the different games I played it on, especially graphic heavy ones like Forza make the elements look so real like reflections or asphalt texture. Also, I would like to mention, the keyboard is actually pretty impressive. The size of the keys and the ride of the presses are comfortable, and has enough click —I would expect a clickier laptop as most gaming keyboards are made that way, but the keys on this are very comfortable without sacrificing gaming feedback. I am glad how the gaming industry has grown so much that the quality of graphics and hardware performance has come to this point where you can enjoy games on the go—and we’re not talking about mobile games—real good title games on machines that I can carry around. This G15 has so much value packed in a reasonably priced machine. I know this cannot run full consistent 60FPS on 4K with graphic-heavy games, but for what I got in this package, it is a steal.

Got this laptop about a month ago. The product was surprisingly worth the money. I have yet to fully utilize all the features but this is a great laptop. Mainly use this laptop for gaming, videos and productivity. Highly recommended.
