This laptop had firmware issues out of the box and literally bricked itself the second day in the middle of an update. In the span of that one day, it also frazzled a dead pixel somehow. Really awful experience.

The laptop is not so great out of box in terms of anything, you have to adjust fans and a bunch of Asus "armory crate" software so the fans and temps don't get too high, even after trying the different fan modes and adjusting the display and graphics settings the battery life was under 3 hours for just normal non-gaming/ non-intensive usage. This is a better laptop when plugged in to power though, but for school and work, this may not be the best choice, I returned mine to best buy.

I have had this laptop for just under 3 weeks now, and one of the USB-C ports stopped working.
It's unfortunate that this happened just after the return period expired, because I just want my money back.
Aside from the USB-C port breaking, I've enjoyed the performance of this laptop.

If you need battery life, this isnt the laptop for you. Only had for a couple weeks and it can only go for 1 hour with ALL battery saving features turned on AND running only basic peograms. Not I have to bring in to Best Buy in hopes its a lemon battery.
