Great product from asus, but best buy issues.
Got open box, excellent not certified.
let me start with the pros:
1. very Speedy processor, can deal anything
2. RTX 3060 is more or less enough for laptop, can handle any of the latest AAA titles
3. 2K display is amazing
4. huge touch pad, wonderful keyboard
5. battery life is based among all the gaming laptops I have come across, I get 1-2 hrs while gaming, normally 3-4 hrs. Can extend to 5+ with gpu off.
6. Fast charging
7. height weight considering gaming device
8. cool design
Cons:
1. the bar break is heavy
2. fingerprint magnet
3. no fingerprint scanner, Windows hello is a hit or miss
4. Poor front camera
5. no number pad
now my issues with Best Buy.
there's a damaged Mark on the display, it might have occured from handling (before i got it). Description did not mention that. I was expecting external Dent or scratch but not display issue.

Runs pretty much anything. Although being a laptop, it feels like it runs hot (though the temps are usually fine) I typically turn the graphics down a bit just to be on the safe side, plus the difference ein graphics is negligible, I can't really tell much a difference. I've played Elden Ring, sea of thieves, and various other low intensity games just fine. The laptop itself is also super sleek looking. I received compliments when I first bought it and some people actually thought it was a Macbook, which I'll take it they look cool. Screen/display is very crisp, sound is nice, keyboard feels good for a laptop. Overall I love it, I don't run games on it all day long so I can't attest to that, but for studying, general use, and playing games now and then, it's amazing.

Graphics are beautiful and it handles multiple programs pretty well. The battery life is short, the fan can get pretty noisy and it runs pretty hot, but that's sort of expected for a gaming laptop.
Right around the 1 year mark, I started having a lot of issues with the laptop restarting or not booting up properly. My initial experience was great, so it's frustrating to run into problems with a device that's not even that old.

Amazing laptop! As someone with little to no knowledge about gaming PCs, I was extremely intimidated to finally purchase one. After hours of research, I finally settled on this one!
This ASUS laptop is definitely one of the best “bang for your buck” laptops out there. Does it have the best of the best specs? No. But as a novice PC gamer, I had no need for crazy specs. It runs every game just as I wanted it to.
If I had to nitpick the laptop to give some cons, I would say it does get a tad warmer and louder than I’d like. Maybe it’s louder/hotter to me because I’m not super in tuned with gaming laptops, but it’s nothing that a cooling pad can’t fix.
Other than that, I haven’t come across any other negatives that I can think of.
Overall, this laptop is 100% a 5 Star laptop. Unless you are attempting to get into the eSports scene or want to game on a laptop for 10+ hours, then this laptop is perfect for everything you could want out of a gaming laptop.

I was looking for a multipurpose laptop. WFH, gaming, entertainment, video calls, etc. My current laptop is a 2020 Acer Nitro 5 with intel i5 and RTX 1650.
I wanted to like this laptop, but I couldn't deal with BSOD, and Asus software issues. I just needed it to work. I ended up returning it.
The good: Great screen, keyboard, sound from speakers, performance. Chassis feels great, its light. Has a webcam which is helpful. Battery life is really good when just browsing or logged in to my work environment.
The bad: Asus software needs work. Caused system crashes and windows blue screen.

This laptop is, overall, great! It is beautiful in design, it has a really good high quality screen, speakers, it's sleek and modern.
However here are the things I didn't quite love;
- The keyboard feels strange, after a year I haven't quite gotten used to it, it feels kinda "hard".
- The screen is not very bright, it is mostly noticable during the day when I am sitting next to a window.
- The RTX 3060 is not the most powerful thing in the world, I've been dissapointed in a few games with low performance.
However the machine is great! I would recommend, however, to go for a higher storage, better RTX laptop, such as a 3070-Ti or a 4070+ but I don't think I would recommend getting a 4090 on a laptop.

I recommended this laptop to a friend by the Specs. Bought one for my self for 1099 USD. In my case, the keyboard stops to work in the second time I opened the Computer eight days after. I was checking e-mail and a Asus notification tell me to restart the system. And that, keyboard is gone. Have to return to the Best Buy and change for an Intel I7, paying more 400usd.
Detail: I just could return because BestBuy protection plan, because the normal days are gone. I was travelling, need to make the swift in NY.
Geek squad and seller are very helpful. Save my day, despite the high price of Intel Asus Model and no options to substitute.
My friend travel to Brazil and his computer didn't start for two days. Still working now, but no clue what happened.
Looks like a low quality control on production. Eyes open. I had to still with Asus because no option to give my money back.
Pros: Screen quality, Speed, Weight.
Cons: Reliability, fan (a little noisy and too hot on the air exits).

This is an amazing gaming laptop. I had it for a while now and I am very happy with it. It can run almost any game, and it does so beautifully. I love the sleek and classy design, the screen is gorgeous and the keyboard is very smooth and pleasant to type. It can get a little noisy when you run graphically demanding content, but honestly it is not too much and I do not find it to be a problem. The battery does not hold up for too long when gaming, it is definitely meant to be used plugged in, especially to make use of the more powerful graphics card. Overall I absolutely recommend it and I am very satisfied with it.

I have been searching for the better part of a year for a gaming laptop that could actually FUNCTION as a laptop even when not plugged in. I went through a few different brand laptops that all shared a common theme; they were bulky, had terrible battery life, and when not plugged in with their huge power adapters, they were slow, and cumbersome to use. Effectively making them desktop replacements, not functioning, fast laptops. The Asus ROG Zephyrus changed all that for me. Its not huge. It performs well on and off the charger. Can charge effectively with USB C, albeit not at full speed, but thats okay if im not running heavy games. And somehow, with eco mode enabled, im able to get nice long productivity sessions out of the battery without super sluggush performance. Its acrually quite reaponsive and snappy on battery. Futhermore, i dont know what kind of black magic they built in to this thing. But if i switch to the integrated GPU while on battery, i can actually game at acceptable framerates for a couple of hours. Which is insanely awesome to me. This thing has surpassed my expectations at every turn, and i am delighted to say that i have found what i was looking for. My only complaint is the bezel at the bottom is peeling up a bit. I might contact ASUS about this, although i bet a small piece of double sided tape would slide in behind the bezel easily and fix this immediately. At the sale price of $1199, this is a no brainer.

Runs most game great. Screen looked amazing with great colors and brightness. The keyboard is very responsive and the rgb backlight for the keys can be customized with ease.
The computer while gaming on turbo does sound like a jet engine and is very loud. Unless gaming with headphones it can be distracting. The computer also puts out a lot of heat and in a closed room or small room it is like having a space heater on.

the zephyrus 3060 an honest review

I'd say this asus zephyrus with the 3060 is a good laptop for the price, that is if you get it with the discount. The battery life is great, the build quality is alright (much better then most gaming laptops but still isn't that good), the screen looks nice and the keyboard doesn't feel bad to type on. Some of the questions I wish wouldve been answered before I bought it myself. So if you decide to get this, it isnt future proof with the 3060 with 6gb vram, i suggest you get at least a 3070 model or a different computer because it will slow you down in new titles or old titles that get continuous updates. Second, the software that runs the cpu/gpu is TERRIBLE. It's called armory crate and it makes playing alot of games unplayable, and would suggest if you buy this to get another software to run your computer. If you get this computer at a large discount, its worth it, other then that I'd avoid this computer. Just buy a macbook and build a gaming desktop. If you can't afford that then dont play video games or buy the $400 ps5. If you can afford this you can afford a mac and a ps5.

This laptop looks great and works great and the only downside is the batterry. I had the g14 and the battery is a little better than the g15. I just hope they made the battery way better and it will be 5 star for me. I had to plug it after one game and the fan noise is a little loud when playing. I hope this review helps.

This laptop blew me away. I game on this almost all the time, no issues so far! Its very fast, build quality is great, battery duration kinda sucks but its a gaming laptop so its forgivable. The display is amazing too, bursts with vibrant colors and fluid movements while gaming and watching videos. Overall highly recommend for any gamers or multitaskers.

I would highly recommend this laptop! I've never had an AMD-based computer before as I've always been concerned that it wouldn't do all of the things the Intel chips can do. Boy was I surprised!
The laptop is very well protected during shipping. The packaging included a box with bubble wrap on the inside to protect the laptop box itself. When I opened the box, the laptop actually lifted up to greet me. Not rocket science but very unexpected. Inside the box was the laptop, wrapped in a clear plastic wrapper with a soft, styrofoam sheet between the screen and keyboard to keep scratches away. Also included is a power brick and cord. The plug into the laptop has a nice right angle to keep the cord out of the way from peripherals, including HDMI (2.0), Ethernet, USB-A (3.2), two USB-C (charging and 3.2), and a microphone down the left side. The right side has USB-A (3.2) and a media card reader.
The keys are firm and solid, with a positive feel to them. Although the font used on the keys is more a gaming, non-traditional font, it was easy to see the key representations. The keys all of glow, rotating through multiple, everchanging colors both on top and in front of each key. The screen is a generous 15.6" and features 2560 x 1440 dpi (QHD) and runs at 165Hz, making game movement smooth as silk.
The AMD chip is fast and showed zero stutter when playing Fortnite, iRacing, or Call of Duty Warlords.
The case is a dark gray and the top has a holographic design which reflects differing colors as the unit is moved.
Overall, I give this 5 out of 5 and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a portable gaming laptop.

Bought this machine mostly for gaming. It delivers.
Higher resolution screen is a big plus. Ryzen 9 is performing well, and could be clocked for your needs right from Asus Rog command software, without restarts. Rtx 3060 is very capable, and runs my Oculus Quest2 without any issues (wirelessly).
Could be connected to your modern tv, or monitor with, or without wires. In the wireless mode no delay observed.
Battery is not an issue with “silent” mode, but you do need to be plugged in for heavy gaming, and/or VR. Power adapter is rather large, that gpu needs power.
Upgradability:
This laptop has ddr5 ram, 16 gb of it. 8gb is soldered in, another 8 gb is replaceable. I have replaced it with 32 gb stick, totaling 40 gb for a long term performance. Ddr5 works in dual channel without matching the stick size, just get something decent.
It has only 512gb ssd, and two pcie ports. Capable of 4tb total.
I have added 1tb in an empty slot, for total of 1.5 tb, should be enough for now.
Cheers

Best Gaming laptop I have ever had. The performance is top notch, and is able to play all the games I like to play.
If I could change anything about it, the only thing I would change is how much heat it generates, other than that I wouldn't change any thing about it.

This laptop is AMAZING for PC gaming.the graphics are superb. I have a lot of CC and this laptop doesn't lag or tell me I have too much. The battery life is great. This laptop has been amazing. Games run extremely well, in fact I’m playing “Sons of the Forest” with ultra settings and it’s flawless. I’ve played many other games, all of which run great including the recently released Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
I use this for work as well and it’s perfect. I usually have at least 10 tabs open, multiple spreadsheets, and more going at once…..no issues or slowdown at all.
One thing to note though is this thing gets hot when gaming. Using it on a desk or table isn’t an issue bit don’t put it on your lap. In order to protect the laptop and my lap, I bought a cooling pad which has 3 fans to help keep things cool. Works like a charm and only cost $20 from Amazon.
All in all, whether using it as a gaming rig or an everyday computer, you can’t go wrong with this laptop. Top notch components and the Asus applications let you customize anything to your liking. If you can buy this for under $1300 you should. You won’t be disappointed.

This Asus Zephyrus is a pretty decent laptop if you can find it on sale. While gaming the battery life is terrible but just normal use it does last much longer. The screen is pretty decent and the brightness is ok, not great for if youre sitting by a window but good enough for a well lit room. The metal chasis feels and looks great. On the top case there is iridescent spots under the matte gray metal top. The bottom chasis also reflects the matte gray metal top and feels really sturdy and has very minimal flex. The keyboard is pretty decent and is RGB backlit that makes it easy to see even at night. Overall the laptop is pretty decent when on sale and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent mid-range gaming laptop
