This is my first high end gaming laptop. I did a lot of research before purchasing and this seemed like the best bang for your buck especially when it’s on sale. Runs every game I play without any problems. Also great for work. I did end up purchasing a cooling pad for it because it does run a little hot while gaming. Other than that no issues! If you’re looking for a great gaming laptop this is it!

Great heat dissipation, capable audio, and solid performance. Unfortunately, there's a massive risk for liquid damage, and the light board has limited color options which you need to turn back after powering down. However, the fact that they leave room for small upgrades is very neat (SSD and one more memory stick I think).

I was skeptical when I initially purchased this laptop, but I am happy I did. I purchased this laptop for my son who is learning animation with Adobe Creative Cloud. I needed a laptop with excellent graphics, resolution, but could;d also be used for productivity. This gaming laptop is perfect for his needs.

This is my first gaming laptop, so most people may say "du" to my comments. 1) performance when gaming is very good, but it does heat up. After 90 minutes, my fingers felt like they were almost burning. Either a cooling pad or a separate game controller is required. 2) as a laptop, it is excellent. Good keyboard, solid construction, adequate camera. 3) Not too much in the way of bloatware, though the ASUS app and signup is a tad annoying. 4) the only annoyance is getting the backlighting for the keyboard to stay (probably me not understanding the settings, but it should not be this hard). I will update the review if there are any reliability issues later.

When i first got this laptop it wouldnt turn on which was a slight issue but after some time of constantly using almost everyday. I use it for everything school work, gaming, the whole thing. It does tend to get hot but that bound to happen in a gaming laptop you might want to get a storage upgrade and better RAM but overall a great laptop and was a great buy

The laptop is a beast and has super build quality. The performance on the QHD panel maximizes your game play when using the laptop to play heavy gaming. I also used it for some machine learning programs and it performed expecpitionall well on the gpu.

The laptop being reviewed is a good choice for its price point of $1099 USD. The screen is satisfactory for both indoor and outdoor use but requires adjusting the angle when in direct sunlight. The speakers produce good sound quality but lack bass. The battery life is reasonable, lasting up to 7-8 hours with minimal usage in eco mode, silent mode, and battery saver mode. The laptop gets warm while in use but is tolerable. While gaming, the laptop should be placed on a flat surface and set to turbo mode to prevent heating. The laptop has an additional slot for a new SSD, but the current 512 GB SSD may not be enough for some users. The keyboard is comfortable to type on, with minimal flex, and the trackpad is responsive. However, it may take some time to adjust to the smaller keyboard size. It is important to adjust the settings in the Windows control panel and ASUS apps such as Armory Crate and update everything for optimal performance. One downside is that the screen colors may fade at random times due to an ASUS app, but this can be uninstalled. Overall, this laptop is a great option for its price point with good features and good build quality.

Excellent build. Fairly easy to use performance interface. Good ventilation and fan control options. Battery capacity leaves something to be desired but i dont know of a performance laptop that doesnt. Used for casual gaming, audio and video editing.

I have owned many laptops over the years but this one is by far the best. Has plenty of power for games and any other purpose you may need. It was super easy to get setup and started the new windows os is taking a little getting used to. I do however recommend a cooling pad because it will get super hot on you if not.

I’ve had this laptop for a few weeks now and it has been well worth the money. ive had no problems running any games and the screen looks very well. the laptop does get pretty hot but if you have a cooling pad it is just fine. i am glad i bought it and i definitely recommend it.

Great gaming laptop. I mostly use it for video editing and photoshop, but it runs most modern games at 1440p med-high settings at 60fps or above. It has a real slick design and its light as well. Only wish that it had a better looking screen for what it costs but overall I recommend it.

Blazing fast! I do not know how they packed so much performance and large screen into such a light weight package. The price for all the features is good, too. The unboxing and setup was easy. With TotalTech I have confidence for a long time that all will be well.

Unfortunately my laptop is overheating very much. Running 70-80 degrees on idle and just on watching youtube videos. Maybe there was an error with thermal paste in my model. Will have to return. Otherwise amazing laptop and great design.

I owned a Dell desktop that lasted 12 years. Then a Lenovo laptop that's 12 years old & still going. I needed to upgrade and wow, upgrade I did. This is by far the most powerful computer I've owned. And although I'm not a gamer, I appreciate its speed, beautiful display (the richest colors I've ever seen), multiple heat vents, and ports, including an ethernet port, which most laptops don't have. The backlit keys come in a variety of customizable colors and the touch pad is a dream to use. It might not be light as a feather but it's really not that heavy. And the design is sleek & cool, including a subtly patterned cover. Best of all, it was on sale!

For being a gaming laptop, I'm impressed with the performance. Great screen when not using a monitor. My only criticism is how hot it gets when gaming, but that is expected with laptops using higher end GPUs.

Great performace. Fast, excellent image quality. Good sound. I am not a gamer. I use it for photography development. I had an Intel i7 8th gen and it used to take a very long time to reduce noise. About 10 min. This new one take 10 seconds.

Works like a champ at work, very noise, im not used to work with laptops but this one gets work done with 3d modeling and Renders, again gets noise but prevents to get hot. And need to be plug in.

While I believe that the overall performance of the laptop is good, there is a unique flaw from this model that makes the laptop less ergonomic. That flaw is that the laptop crashes whenever it is left into sleep mode after a couple of minutes and reboots when you open it up, this can potentially lead to some damage overtime if you keep attempting to use sleep mode. The simple solution is to simply shutdown your laptop when not in use, but this means you cant have a fast boot up + powersave feature when moving around with the laptop. This also seems to be a common issue described by many when checked with all online for possible solutions. Its not so much of a big issue after a while

Great lap top for traveling and playing games. Cons:does get hot will need a cooling stand, fans will sound like they are taking off

Universal X86 Tuning Utility and Armory Crate really help this PC become amazing. Armory crate gives a lot of customization and both help with performance as it runs hot default. Great PC though, looks good, feels good.
