Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the ROG Zephyrus 16" gaming laptop's strong performance, impressive graphics capabilities, and vibrant display. Positive feedback also highlights its lightweight design and robust build quality. However, some users note that the fan noise can be noticeable, and the device may experience elevated temperatures during intensive use; battery life is also a point of concern for some.

An excellent Laptop for games and college work! My only issue is with battery life but I use battery saver mode that only charges up to 80% and I cam make it through a lab or a few classes. : )

I am just now reviewing this laptop after owning it for over a year. There has been absolutely zero problems with it. It has been used for school work and gaming almost daily. For a gamer this is a great purchase. It is a little overkill for day to day use if you just want to use it for work or to watch videos on. We play Steam games and Xbox Gamepass on it with no troubles. The screen is a perfect size and very clear. The laptop is not a lightweight as others but you don't really notice it in a backpack.

Fast, great graphics, superb processor power. Low battery consumption overall. The screen is bright, very bright. Needs 2 bigger m2 drives. Needed 32 gigs of additional ram for my use. Upgrade and enjoy.

Great midrange laptop, if rather noisy

This is a really great mid-range laptop, and an excellent value. It's form and fit are high end, so you can be confident in showing it off; no one will know that it's not a $3000 laptop. Playing games like Forza Horizon 5 is silky smooth and look exceptional on the 1920x1200 165Hz panel. The lack of HDR won't really be missed on this very bright and non-reflective screen. The RGB keyboard is nice looking and feels better than some other much higher end laptops. The touchpad feels fine, but for gaming you'll want at least a bluetooth mouse. I would give it five stars if it didn't sound like a jet engine taking off whenever it's going full out. The combo of a 12th gen CPU with a hot running GPU does a noisy laptop make. Bring some good headphones.

This is a great laptop. The ASUS programs were something I had to get used to, but overall the laptop is great. For some reason, 30% of my RAM is being used whenever I start up my laptop, but it’s no big deal. Performance wise, everything runs well, including games. For my specific device, I’m noticing that there’s a bit of a stutter/pause to my device whenever I open a program, which is odd. Battery life is not the best, but can be extended somewhat via ASUS’s armory crate. I’m happy with the product, but I would be happier if the battery life was better.

    12th Gen Delivers

I bought this machine after having last year's i9 model and I would say it was the perfect upgrade. First of all, 12th gen intel chips deliver in a big way. I didn't notice any "stepping down" going with an i7 this time around. Also, since the GPU starts at a 3060 this year and the screen resolution is FHD rather than QHD, I was pushing frames I couldn't reach for a cheaper price and was never really bothered by the lower resolution. However, despite the sweet spot specs on this model, the chassis still runs hot and those max fan speeds are still loud. If you were familiar with these issues last year, they are still here this year, so don't go looking for a major upgrade in those departments.

This laptop has everything, and unless doing somwthing really stressful on the laptop like graphic design, this should more than meet your needs. Though I wish it came with more storage out of the box so I didnt need to upgrade it.

is a nice balance, mix, of professional and gaming if you use eco mode and silent, you could get close to 4-6hrs on gaming, performed well only downfall, is the fan exhaust, that hits the display beside that, system, is worth, during sales

I LOVE the screen and the performance on this laptop. The 4.0 ssd and the DDR-5 ram is a noticeable upgrade from previous generations, and the 12th gen intel chip chewed through anything I threw at it. The speakers are surprisingly good for a gaming laptop, and the keyboard and trackpad are a joy to use honestly. My only complaints with this device is I don't love the rubber deck coating. It picks up smudges quickly. I also wish the battery life was better, but it's about as good as it gets with Intel right now if you get a high power chip. Got about 6 hours of battery life doing productivity tasks with power saving features on.

The laptop itself was amazing at holding battery especially when using it for webcontent consumption. I was able to get about 5- 6 hours of battery life out of it. But the only problem I had with it was the material of the body. it feels soft as long as the outer layer stays on it. It's like the plastic film on top of screens. There is fraying on it but it's not impacted the use. If aesthetics are your concern, you might want to test it out. But it's a good laptop for both gaming as well as work. The screen is really beautiful & fast.
