Literally everything about this is great, except the back fan. It blows hot air onto the screen because of the design and where the keyboard meets the back fan. I researched and asked and it's supposed to not affect anything but it still doesn't sit right with me. The fan does get loud but I personally don't get bothered by it because it only lasts for a little bit and then gets quieter. Everything else is top tier. The keyboard feels nice and is nice to type on and the touchpad is in a good spot. The display is nice and the sound is pretty good. Battery life has also been good for doing daily things. I would say if you don't mind the fan being on the screen then this is a very good option.

Purchased for our son for xmas. His prior desktop rig had a 1060ti. I watched him play MW2 and it looked great. Provided him worth portability to play with friends at sleep overs. The fans on this machine are much quiter than the alienware j have with similar specs. Great purchase for $1199

Out of the box, this is a beauty. I don’t know what it is, but I love the feeling buying an electronic that feels like a premium purchase based upon the packaging alone. With the sleek design and briefcase build, this already feels like a great decision from the start. This is going to be a replacement for my ASUS 11th Gen 16th” that I got last year, a great laptop in its own right. The first thing that stuck out, once out of the box is the smooth, matte-like texture. It’s mostly smudge free as well which is a big plus. The weight isn’t surprising one way or the other, about what you’d expect from a 16” gaming laptop. There’s a neat little prism design on the keyboard, which is customizable and common for most gaming laptops. Speaking of the keyboard, I would’ve preferred mine a bit more stretched out but it doesn’t hinder the action, and if anything, the keys sound quieter than most I’ve used in the past. Setup was a breeze which is more and more common as technology advances. Out of the box, I was up and running some games within 20min, which is a huge plus if this is a holiday purchase for someone as it’s nearly ready to go from the jump. The computer has a webcam for those zoom calls and streaming their games but it leaves a bit to be desired as I couldn’t get it to film in 4K, let alone 1080p. The audio quality is similarly good but not great as well. An external camera device may be needed for those streamers, and I’m sure most of you will be using a headset for better mic and audio quality. The video quality is where this shines. The monitor is nearly an edge display, sans the thin camera area, giving you a great bang for your buck. Games and movies look absolutely incredible, hitting a high refresh rate and I’ve yet to experience any screen tearing after dozens of hours of high end gaming. The system supports both Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision which is the way you should be going for your audio and visual needs. Speaking of visual needs, playing in dark obviously showcases the brightness, color, and contrast, but I was surprised with how good the system looked even with my blinds open. There must be an anti glare coating on the monitor because it looks great in nearly any lighting condition. For the most part, the system peaks at gaming. My frame rate was continuously in the triple digits, especially on Turbo mode, even when playing the AAA hits like Forza and Halo. There’s absolutely no better gaming laptop I’ve used after going through about a dozen different models I’ve used. My biggest complaint, similar to most is that the system can get quite loud, especially while in Turbo mode, which is how I prefer to play. It’s a double edge sword as you can either have a more quiet gaming experience but sacrifice screen quality or sacrifice some background noise for the gift of silky smooth gameplay. I can’t imagine you’d want to play without this plugged in but if you do, I only managed to get about two hours of gameplay before losing power. I’m sure you’d get more if you were just writing a Word document but who would buy this laptop for that? While unplugged, the battery depletes rapidly and can’t even run on the highest gaming modes so don’t bother. All in all, if you’re looking for a gaming laptop that you’re going to keep plugged in with easy setup, and God-tier visuals, look no further. As long as you can get past the weak camera and loud fan, there’s not a better deal out there. Happy gaming!

Laptop's performance is great. I am very very happy with it. I bought this for myself around Black Friday special and never paid much attention to its appearance. Now, after about 5 months of storing it in its original package, I am finally using it, and I see damage to its door on the top right side which prevents it from closing properly. The right side USB is damaged and tilted. Also, when looking carefully, the laptop's right side is kind of curved. Also, the laptop stand is not even once put on a flat surface. Escpecially once both hands are on the keyboard, it tilts towards the left side and is wobbly. I know I should have paid more attention upon receiving it, however, since I never dropped it or anything happened to it by me, I think the staff should have paid more attention before sending a laptop like this to a customer. For anyone buying a laptop, make sure to check throughly because I really didn't see these flaws with it once I received it. Overall, I am very sad that I received this great laptop in this condition and I know nobody would believe my story about how I must have received it in this condition. Oh well, I have to use it now since it is too late.

Its specs are exactly what i was looking for. Im not exactly using it for hardcore gaming, it can run high level games with ease if i wanted to. It came with a free download of COD MW2, and it does run it well. It handles your basic gaming and higher end too

So far best laptop ever, the screen at 165hz is a bless, anything and everything looks really good, the processor may not be the top of the line but it works just fine as intent it. I highly recommend this laptop

I have been partial to ASUS for 20 years, My evaluation after a month of owning this gaming laptop would be a five star review very impressive Asus features and performance. You can game with this setup!

the computer is good and i did by it open box(excellent)...but that being said the computer did come with an almost unnoticeable damage part of the chasis

Great laptop for everything, faster speed, pretty robust. Love it. My nephew uses it for his college work, programming and off course Gaming, and he has become die hard fan of it.

I bought this for my grand daughter. Would not play The Sims out of the box. Luckily I know a bit about computers. It took me over an hour to figure out I had to reset the video card on both the game, the Asus setup, and yet again in the computers video card setup. It kept reverting back until I did everything in order. Good machine once it's set up to do what it should do out of the box. It has two video cards inside. The default one is the one that doesn't work. So why even have it in there, then, Asus?

The laptop works great and does everything it needs to do. The only drawbacks are that the keyboard keys are awkwardly spaced and the battery life is good, but could be better.

Good laptop so far, I like the aesthetics of it, simple things like the way it boots up and the flashing colors if the keyboard but is truly a good machine

Awesome computer gets a little bit hot but the picture is awesome. The specs is awesome. The computer runs great fast smooth great.

Awesome rig!! It's light weight and plays Tarkov, PubG, and DCS in high settings without any issues. Perfect laptop while traveling.

Bought the computer for my son to use in college. He plans on installing Solid Works or Auto Cad on it. The graphics and the processor really good.

Plays high speed games great. Only downside is you will need to plug your power supply in rather quickly if you want to have optimal refresh speeds for games such as Call of Duty.

Do not buy this if u want to take it somewhere like college. It heats up very badly and the fans are extremely loud just by turning it on and doing nothing. While using it to do basic things like youtube google i burned my fingers. Do not reccomend. Very bad
