Better than the g14

Glad i returned the g14 and got the m16 instead. Cheaper lol and totally worth it!

Excellent entry gaming laptop

Alot of people complain about the ram or memory but thats upgradeable, or you can just purchase a different version. The craftsmanship is amazing, the quality where it should be.

He loves it. Only thing we woukd have wanted was a larger SSD (1TB versus the 512GB it comes with) but a second SSD can be added easily later on.

DON'T DO IT!

The great exhaust blows on the monitor, which is occasionally flickering after less than 3 months of ownership. The performance does not reflect the hardware specs, it's sluggish and underperforms even compared to the few year old gaming laptop it replaced. If I could return it with a penalty fee, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Worked great for 7 days

Day 8 there was a Windows update. Once it restarted the screen started dimming in various places with a flickering effect. I thought it might have something to do with the Windows update so I did the factory reset and it still had the same issue once I logged into Windows. Returned it for the refund. Wouldn’t get this brand of laptop ever again.

But when gaming it does get hot. But triple A games look great on it. Did have to upgrade the memory and another SSD drive.

Defective and Loud

I had installed Valorant on it and jumped into a custom game to test things out. Within 5 minutes the computer shut down and gave me the sad face error saying that something unexpected occurred. Happened about 6 times before I gave up, shouldn't be happening with a gaming laptop. While everything looked pretty good, the laptop is extremely loud and the fans blow right into the screen. My wife asked me if the computer was supposed to sound like that, I unfortunately said yes. When I brought it back to return it, a Best Buy associate said that theirs on display is the same way and that they sometimes have to shut it down to keep it quiet. Maybe I got a bad model for the shutting down, but I would not recommend.

The new one is for my cousin, but there is a problem with the computer. I took a video and hoped to send it to bustbuy for help, but I don’t have their email address. Chat also gave me a call and closed the window without solving my problem. Quite disappointed.

If you are unable to get proper support via chat and phone support we recommend going to the closest Best Buy location just in case you have to return the products for a replacement or refund. They may also be better able to assist you in person as well. If you are unable to get help from Best Buy then there is at least a 1 year/12 months manufacturer's warranty with your device so that can be utilized to resolve issues with your device as well. I keep 70-75temps for cpu and really good laptop

Powerful gaming laptop with new sleek design

The overall quality and efficiency of this computer has allowed me to experience great gaming and able to do multiple tasks. I was really drawn to the look of this gaming laptop. Many of my previous computers have been these large bulky laptops, but the ASUS Zephyrus 16 has this nice sleek look. The chassis is very thin compared to other laptops and at 4lbs, it makes it light for me to carry. The polyurethane material on the palm rests feels very premium and comfortable when using. And the multiple colors coming from the backlit keyboard is a joy to use when gaming or using at night. The 15.6 inch screen really pops, and despite being only 250 nit brightness, this computer can get really bright. So, the main purpose of this laptop has been for gaming. And I began playing my usual games (Halo Master Chief edition, notably Reach and Halo 4; other Halo Games like Spartan Assault/Strike, and Halo Wars; Destiny 2; Forza; Star Trek Online; TF2; Minecraft with my kids) and I was very happy with the speed it downloaded and how fast it booted when playing. I was initially disappointed with the 512 GB harddrive storage, and so you have to be very selective on what you download. The Halo Master Chief collection is 133 GB's so I have to be very clear on playing them, completing and then deleting them once I'm done. The 16GB memory can be upgraded to 32, so we'll see if I need to do that. Battery life on this has been very great, averaging 5 hours of non-stop multitasking on a single charge. The speakers are nice and loud and crisp, each speaker flanking the keyboard. Multiple fans line the top near the hinge and on the sides. Also very well designed are the multiple connectivity ports. This has USB-C Thunderbolt 4, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and an RJ45 LAN port, this has excellent options even for high speed external devices. Although no touch screen compared to some other ASUS gaming laptops, I am thankful they added a 720p HD front facing camera. Overall, other than gaming this computer is perfect for all of my needs.
