Super hot and performs worse than previous 603 model. Returned on the second day.

Dead pixel on the first one I received. Then I exchanged it for another with more dead pixels and screen flickering. Nothing but problems. Returned for an entirely different brand.

This laptop overheats so much so fast .. i was playing valorant on all low settings and this laptop couldnt even handle it and valorant is not a demanding game

I've had this device for about 2 weeks. Overall satisfaction is pretty good. The device performs as it should, and is made of quality materials. The 16:10 display is definitely one of my favorite parts of the machine. Portability really isn't a problem with a standard laptop bearing backpack. Keyboard strikes are nice and firm. Webcam is about par for a modern gaming laptop - does enough for Windows Hello to work. The device does ramp up some noise under heavy load, but that's a trade off you have to endure when you want a handful of power in a laptop. I overall recommend this. Games run perfectly on the max settings.

I have another ASUS ROG laptop with a 14" screen and the screen is the main reason I don't use it as much as I would like. This makes up with it with similar (and probably greater) performance while giving me a screen I don't need to squint at. My experience with ASUS ROG laptops so far has been pretty good. They don't contain a ton of bloatware. There were a handful of windows crap I needed to remove (3 different Office products I needed to remove for whatever reason) but these are things that just come with Windows. ASUS installs their support software (MyASUS), their performance monitoring/tweaking software (ARMOURY CRATE) and their RGB creation tool (Aura Creator). That's about it. None of it is intrusive to me and I don't really have any need or desire to remove any of it. Setup was pretty easy but a little time consuming. This was my first computer with Windows 11 installed. The initial setup process seemed to be a little more lengthy but also pretty straight forward. A lot of the setup time was installing updates both during the setup phase (where you have no control over the actual computer yet) as well as runningWindows Update a few times after the setup phase. One thing I did like is that Windows Update itself seemed to take care of updating my computer's BIOS. I'm assuming ASUS has integrated with the Windows 11 Windows Update system to provide their system updates without needing to use a separate application like usual. Windows 11 seems fine. It feels like a prettier Windows 10 but doesn't feel so different that it'll take much time to get used to. The biggest thing is just going to be finding the settings that I like in the new control panel and such. Performance is pretty good. It's got a 3060 so it's not top of the line or anything but it's a pretty great card. I tested Cyberpunk 2077 with all settings maxed out (including all ray tracing enabled) and was able to get a pretty stable 30-40 fps with DLSS on quality mode. But I was able to push it closer to 50-60 fps with DLSS performance mode on. Note that this was with EVERYTHING maxed out and just adjusting the DLSS mode so there's a LOT of room for improvements with a lot of settings that can give you a nice performance boost without noticing much of a picture difference at all (especially on a 16" screen). I tested Elden Ring maxed out as well and it ran like butter. With a 1920x1200 display, you should be able to push most games to almost the max and still get great performance out of them. Downsides are minimal but they exist. For some reason, they put the status lights (like power, hard drive activity and such) angled towards the monitor. It makes them hard to see or notice with normal use but when the screen is dark, they reflect pretty noticeable on the screen depending on the angle you're viewing at. It's a really strange choice to me. The hard drive in this model is only 500GB. This is really tiny for this day and age with games. I installed 5 things and that was all I could get. You'll definitely want a fast external hard drive if you want to load this thing up with things to play. The keyboard has some nice RGB but not the individual keys. The Aura Creator software lets you do some cool stuff if you have multiple devices that support their RGB connected but if not, the keyboard acts as a single RGB device. That said, when the computer is in standby mode, I almost noticed that the computer knew I was nearby and the keyboard would flash at me. It could be that the keyboard always flashes but I feel like it doesn't unless I get close enough. One of the best perks I wasn't expecting is the Hello feature akin to Face ID. The webcam/sensors take a scan of your face and the computer unlocks with the press of a button if it can see your face. It's pretty quick. Not sure how secure or how easily it can be tricked but for a household where you aren't constantly looking around your shoulder, it works really nicely. The wife and I are going to be using this laptop a lot more often than the 14" I had before. I'll be moving that into a Stream PC roll since it still has a 3060 and nice CPU in it (great for encoding video) but this one has a great screen, good performance and plenty of nice perks to play games without being tied to a desktop PC.

Overheating so easy the cooling system has to change

Just recently upgraded to the ROG Zephyrus laptop, model GU603Z! Wow! I’m so impressed with the speed at which I’m able to move through applications. Purchased this gaming laptop because I usually work on multiple applications at once that are very graphic intensive. The visual display is better than my tv! And it’s great for playing online games with my granddaughter as a way to connect when we’re far apart. Still learning all the ins and outs but loving it so far!

This is honestly a great laptop, and I can't complain much. I surpass hundreds of FPS in games, theres fan controls, and so much more. One flaw is it keeps shutting off and turning black every once in a while. Happens usually once a session, but its quick to turn back on.

ASUS continues to outdo itself. This Zephyrus is the perfect travel companion for the serious gamer. Sleek, solidly built and well appointed. The 16" screen is the perfect size, not too big to be unweildy but not too small to not be able to take advantage of the fantastic graphics card. Granted, this is not a light-weight unit. Plenty of ports for connectivity, USB, USB-C, LAN, HDMI and a micro SD slot. Far superior than several other highend laptops that only have one or two USBC ports. As expected, the RTX 3060 is the star of the show. It truely shines, enhancing the graphics of all of the games tested. This produces the one drawback about the unit. It does get Hot. While the design elevates the bottome of the unit when the screen is open, a cooling tray to help with airflow is almost esential when used for an extended amout of time. This laptop comes loaded with Windows 11 but the changes from 10 are not a big deal. As of yet, no significant issues have become apparent that would detract from the overall high rating of this unit nor impact being highly recommended.

My mom got me this pc a while ago and its amazing! The 165hz refresh rate is unbelievably smooth. The high specs let me run games on ultra graphics easily.

Nice laptop for the price. Lighter than you (or I) would think, and battery life is great for a gaming laptop.

Bought this computer, lasted 5 months before the GPU went out, i dont play high graphic games or anything of that such. Just randomly went out, all drivers were up to date and worked good until it didnt. That was my biggest issue. I recommend spending a little extra money on something with better GPU.

Easy to use and battery length is good plus very light

Runs a little hot but it runs everything in vr including flight simulator and Half life Alyx. Also very thin. Screen is pretty good also.

I bought this laptop as a open box and the condition was decent and it worked as it should but after a month or so I noticed that my graphics card peaks at 100% and its clock speed goes as low as 900 mhz and my wattage goes to around low 60s and because of that it doesn't perform as good; other than that I'll say its decent wotu very high quality but it's not worth buying at full price if it has that problem.

Laptop is really good especially for gaming. It has great fps and no delay.
