    Wow - ASUS Zephyrus

I recently acquired the ASUS Zephyrus laptop from Best Buy, and I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed. This laptop boasts a sleek and modern design that immediately caught my eye. The slim profile and brushed metal finish give it a premium feel that’s hard to beat. Performance-wise, the ASUS Zephyrus truly shines. The combination of its powerful processor and dedicated graphics card delivers seamless multitasking and smooth gameplay. Whether I’m running resource-intensive applications or enjoying my favorite games, the laptop handles everything with ease. The display quality is nothing short of outstanding. The high refresh rate and vibrant colors make watching movies and playing games a visually immersive experience. The thin bezels also contribute to a more expansive viewing area, which I appreciate. One feature that stands out is the innovative cooling system. Even during extended gaming sessions, the laptop manages to maintain a reasonable temperature, ensuring that performance remains consistent without throttling. While the laptop’s performance and design are exceptional, it’s important to note that the battery life might not be as long as some other models. However, this is a trade-off I’m willing to make for the level of performance I’m getting. In conclusion, the ASUS Zephyrus laptop has exceeded my expectations in terms of both design and performance. It’s a powerhouse that’s perfect for professionals, gamers, and content creators alike. If you’re in the market for a high-performance laptop with a modern aesthetic, the ASUS Zephyrus is definitely worth considering.

Honestly going into it, the laptop seemed too good to be true, which for some of it, is true, but the overall laptop is amazing! The size, its weight, the screen, and its capabilities wow-d me. The only thing I wasn't much of a fan of, is now this laptop overheated, even over the smallest and mundane tasks like browsing the internet, light YouTube, or even just having it open. And relatively, the battery also was pretty weak. I was promised up to 7 hours of use, while this laptop only lasted me 3 to 5 hours (for mundane task). Overall, I would say this laptop is great, and I have nothing else to say other than, that this laptop is great for any student, or someone who just wants a strong laptop for gaming.

I haven't upgraded my laptop in the last 5 years, so coming from a Dell Inspiron 13 to this machine has been incredible. The screen is beautiful, the size and weight are great, although the charging brick is on the big size for traveling (but you can get a smaller USB C one to have on the go), and the performance is amazing... If you read forums everyone says to start at the 4060, but for me the 4050 and Then 7 is plenty powerful (I use it on a more professional setting with some modeling softwares), and the fact that is comes with 16GB already installed and the free slot means that I can upgraded and get out of this machine at least 4-5 years.

Was looking for a gaming laptop that I could also use for some minor video editing. I am not disappointed. I upgraded the RAM to 32GB, and slipped in a 2TB SSD. I have been using it as my everyday drive at work, it's light and portable enough for bringing to client meetings, always gets a side look as it's just a beautiful rig. Plays Helldivers2 with no issues at high settings, fans can get a bit loud when things get intense, but I wear headphones so it doesn't bother me much. Def would recommend, great price.

This is a phenomenal laptop if you want something relatively powerful and portable at the same time. If you can pick this up for the sale price, it is well worth it. It is light weight and the screen resolution is quite good. It runs everything very well and can also run top tier games at medium to high settings with no issues at all. Battery life for regular usage is fine but if you are doing more intensive work, the battery will run down quicker. The one thing I will have to make sure to point out is this laptop will run warm. For basic stuff, on silent mode, it will be warm to the touch. If you are running intensive programs or big games, it will be uncomfortably hot to the touch. You would not want to put it in you lap, for example. That is just the trade off to having a relatively powerful CPU and GPU in a small package. Overally, I HIGHLY recommend this laptop if you are looking for something this powerful and portable.

I've been eyeing several ROG Zephyrus G14's for a while now, on Ebay and on here. I had to get this one for $800 since a lot of other ones I've been seeing on Ebay goes for $700 and $800 and this one has better specs! I also ended up buying a 4TB M2 SSD since this one is kinda small for what I want to do on it. It is pretty easy to disassemble and put a new one in the hard part was the rubber covering the screws on the back of the laptop and you need a Flathead screw driver to get rid of them. I'm currently working on upping the battery life and if you're traveling like me and want good battery life on this bad boy I recommend: - lowering screen refresh rate (60 - 120hz) - downloading the MyAsus software and turn on smart battery mode (so it charges at 80% then unplug it), - make it so it uses integrated gpu instead of nvidia's in nvidia control panel - use silent mode in power options (you can use armory crate) - Turning on Eco mode in armory crate - Go to edit power plan--> advanced power settings --> go to processor power management then maximum processor state and set on battery to 30% - Then go to global settings and then on battery change it to "Force power-saving graphics" - Of course finally lower brightness settings and turn off RGB lighting on the keyboard :) If you're using it exclusively for gaming, I highly recommend changing the power options to best performance and then forcing the laptop to use nvidia's gpu. Hope this helps fellow travelers and gamers! :)

It is powerful enough to handle any task I need, whether it is gaming, video editing, or coding. It has a beautiful 165Hz screen that displays crisp and smooth graphics. It also has sufficient ports for connecting external devices. The only downside of this laptop is the battery life. It drains quite fast when I use it for intensive work or play. I usually have to plug it in after a few hours of use. However, this is not a deal-breaker for me, as I mostly use it at home or near a power outlet. I think the trade-off between performance and battery is worth it for this laptop. Overall, I think this is a good laptop for anyone who needs a powerful and versatile machine. It has a sleek design, a comfortable keyboard, and a stunning screen

I got this laptop with a 600$ discount and i can't be more happy. The materials feels premium, design is a lot better than the most gaming laptops out there(just my opinion), software built-in of Asus is actually useful and the screen is stunning(brightness is pretty high), far better compared to a Lenovo LOQ. The performance is what you expect from that hardware, actually is better playing in 1080p than 2K but the screen being 14" make it look that there's no difference and the gains in fps is noticeable besides if u want to play on 2K you can use DLSS.

Amazing computer!! I’ve been using this computer for a bit over a year now and the functionality is exceptional. I can have 20+ tabs open and not lose any functionality while also having split view open and doing work on Excel. The only reason i’m not giving 5 stars is because the battery life!! This computer will only last you around 1.5 hours on battery doing basic tasks like school work on internet explorer. It runs games perfectly when plugged in, it does get loud from the fans but what can you do about that. Love it!

I purchased this laptop for my wife, who casually games Diablo, watches YouTube and does online shopping. This is an upgrade from her previous Dell G15 with an RTX 3050 and Ryzen 7 5000 series. Being a PC gamer myself, I was obligated to run this unit through the wringer with a few games that are more demanding on the hardware. This things is a little powerhouse! Pulled over 150 fps in The finals and destroys in MW3. Enshrouded also runs pretty seamlessly as does FO76. That QHD also has me pleasantly surprised for this little mobile beast. The construction is lightweight yet durable. I can appreciate the attempt at heat dispersion with the bottom aluminum vented cover. The speakers are decent and sharp and the memory is safe and enough for what she intends to use it for. I do plan to upgrade the storage and RAM currently 512 gb storage and 16 gb DDR5 ram. Upgrading these to 1tb ssd that’s slightly faster and 32 Gb RAM will have things thing operating blinding fast. While tinkering with I actually have decided to upgrade to one of these from my Asus TUF Ryzen 7/RTX3050TI. Definitely would recommend!

Asus Support and OB Warranty Very Bad

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The device worked fine, and performed well, with the negatives around operation being high fan noise, short battery life, small storage for the price (512 vs 1tb?), and lack of touchscreen (3 or 4 star possibly). But, having bought this as a really good Openbox deal (I thought...), it required engaging Asus regarding the Warranty. Their support team informed me that, based on my laptop being a used device, they could only provide a 90-day warranty. They further explained that Bestbuy Openbox, E-bay or buying directly second hand were considered all the same type of "second hand market" transactions. There is no distinction between Best Buy and other marketplaces, which is odd. In addition, the "second hand" used devices even within the original warranty period or 90-days are precluded from an Asus extended support agreement as well. Many other manufacturers who sell through Bestbuy don't back away from supporting their product if it's Openbox. Had Asus taken a position that they could only honor the initial registered warranty period (9-months would be left) and allowed the purchase of an Extended Warranty, I'd likely have kept the device. Instead I returned this unit. Also, beyond the 90d support policy for Openbox, during one of my three interactions with Asus support, the agent displayed highly unprofessional behavior for a L1 support team member. And the responsiveness of Asus support is many days vs. a few hours or day at worst: unlike other manufacturers, when Asus tells you 24 to 48 hrs for a support reply or escalation request, they mean that as business hours or 3 to 6 days. (1-star) If support or a manufacturer standing behind their product is important to you, I suggest you skip this device and absolutely avoid Asus as an Openbox option.

Laptop is great for almost everything! Of course, being a gaming computer with a dedicated graphics card, the battery life is not great when compared with other non-gaming laptops. Yet, this thing handles pretty much anything (almost) we throw at it. And it looks great while doing so! Currently, it is connected to two large TVs as monitors, and it barely breathes hard so to speak. One issue, especially if using the lap part of the laptop - it gets HOT. Airflow is important. DO NOT lay this on a bed or on your lap without something to facilitate airflow.
