Should have purchased the product from Amazon. I was told to call the help center to get assistance in ordering replacement screws for the laptop cover. Wasted 30 minutes talking to someone who refused to assist with my request because she said the store lied even though they handle online orders, and I purchased my laptop online. Laptop run starfield great just need to upgrade ram and hardrive space. Run a bit hot so look for a good cooling pad. Gaming battery life is horrible only get around 75 minutes before you hit 10%.

Absolutely disappointed in Best Buy

I used the laptop twice, and had a very odd screen malfunction. I called Best Buy 17 days after purchasing and using twice, because I travel often for work and didn’t get the chance to use it. The screen went funky, and I wanted to return my purchase, not trusting it. They said their return policy was 15 days, and would NOT make an exception. I will not be trusting Best Buy for expensive purchases moving forward.

All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections. If the laptop doesn't bootup into Windows, please try to perform a power cycle. If problem persisted, unplug the AC adapter and let the battery drain completely. After the battery was fully drained, plug the AC adapter back to the laptop, do not power on until the battery was charged. If still the same results, we recommend that you send the product in for service in order to determine if this is a hardware issue so this may be resolved immediately. Bought for school and some gaming (Starfield)

I’m mostly game on my Xbox series X but wanted something portable and something that I’m gonna be able to do both schoolwork some basic browsing some Netflix here and there and of course some gaming on my downtime and especially when I’m not home, my favorite game at the moment is Starfield, which is the only game I’ve been playing now this system was basically the best one I found that gave me close to the specs that I was looking for for a reasonable price and especially since it’s on sale, I ended up going with the open box option as it was 160 bucks cheaper And I thought what the heck I’ll save the extra money and get it for even better price as far as the computer it is very nice looking and handles all my work stuff for school and basic browsing with breeze. The reason I’m given this one star is because of the gaming part, now it can play perfectly fine even with ultras settings on the only issue is that the machine gets extremely extremely hot I try to tweak the settings by basically lowering the settings in Starfield to low and play around with the bat and some of the other things that I thought may have helped out with the machine getting so hot But nothing is working. When I tell you this thing it’s hot enough to heat up my entire house. I’m pretty much the only benefit I’m gonna get by keeping this machine is that I’ll probably save a ton of money on my heating bill. The fans get extremely loud, which that doesn’t bother me much but when the fans are loud as they are in the machine is still fuming out, I just feel that this thing will end up burning out on me someday so this machine lasted one day with me and I will be going back to return it as soon as possible. Not sure if there’s some settings that I’m missing or if it’s just a faulty, open box machine and maybe I’m better off going with a brand new one any recommendations would be appreciated, but yes, for the most part, I will stay away from this machine for gaming!!!

check your open box products very carefully!!!

I bought the laptop during my vacation in the US and didn't have time to thoroughly inspect its condition after picking it up. I purchased it as an open box excellent product, trusting that Best Buy's Geek Squad accurately evaluates their items. However, it turns out I received a product with a replaced SSD that reports 7766 hours of work and is an older PCIe 3.0 version. Additionally, there is a bad pixel that is only visible on a black screen, which I didn't notice earlier. Unfortunately, as I am no longer in the US, Best Buy is unwilling to assist me. They are only offering the option of a return with no possibility of partial refunds or alternative solutions. This lack of support is disappointing given the discrepancy between the advertised condition and the actual state of the laptop.

Unreliable Laptop

This laptop has given me plenty of issues. The Laptops motherboard was fried due to heating issues which luckily I had geek squad warranty to cover that. The laptop's keyboard would disable by itself occasionally which was super annoying. There are occasional screen flickering, blue screens, and other QC issues. Which shouldn’t be on a laptop that costs around 1500 dollars. Even the chassis chipped on the corners of the laptop which was disappointing since I always take great care of my electronics. Although this laptop plays games very well on 1440p and the display is nice. If you’re on the fence on getting this laptop, I would stay away from it. I had to end up selling this laptop after a year since this laptop has been horrible when it comes to quality and reliability.

Extremely Disappointed - Best Buy's Cus. Services

My experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disheartening. I purchased an HP OMEN 16 laptop from Best Buy, excited to use it for my work. However, upon setting it up at home, I encountered severe Wi-Fi issues—the Wi-Fi wouldn't show up, leaving me unable to connect to the internet and perform my work tasks. As someone who works from home, this was a significant inconvenience. I visited the store to explain the issue and requested a one-to-one replacement. Unfortunately, they informed me they didn't have any replacements in stock and offered me store credit instead. Reluctantly, I accepted the $1200 store credit, despite being a loyal Best Buy customer who has purchased all my electronics from them across multiple states (NY, IL, CA). Using the store credit, I decided to purchase an ASUS ROG laptop, paying an additional $200 out of pocket to get a machine that could meet my needs. Initially, I was happy with this decision. However, within two days, the laptop started experiencing severe issues—Windows kept crashing, and the laptop couldn’t restart properly. This happened repeatedly, disrupting my work and causing immense frustration. I returned to the store to address the ongoing problems and was met with unsatisfactory solutions. The manager, Steven, was extremely rude and showed no concern for my situation. They insisted that since the laptop was bought with store credit, any refund would also be store credit. After much argument, they directed me to online customer service, who also reiterated that they could only offer store credit. I expressed my frustration, explaining that I did not want another laptop from Best Buy after two failed purchases. I wanted a refund to my original payment method, but they refused. Ultimately, I ended up spending an additional $114 to get a third laptop, which I hope will finally work without issues. When I asked what would happen if this third laptop had similar issues, they suggested I purchase a $49 service pack or contact the manufacturer for repairs. It is absurd to spend $1600 on a new laptop only to be told to send it in for repairs immediately. This entire experience has been a nightmare. I am deeply dissatisfied with Best Buy's handling of the situation and their lack of customer care. I am deleting my Best Buy account and will never shop there again. I hope this review serves as a warning to others: do not accept store credit, and be cautious when dealing with Best Buy's customer service. 1) HP OMEN 16 2) ROG zephyrus (paid $200 on top of intial $1200) 3) HP OMEN 16 (paid $114 on top of intital $1400 store credit for the same model I bought the first time).

Zephyrus experience

To begin with I have to start off the staff at the Savannah location are absolutely amazing. I had two of these Zephyrus computers, the first continued to run hot even on cooling mat. It would randomly power itself down. I took it to exchange for the second in which it immediately glitched out right from the start during setup at the store which store rep seen. The screen continued glitching in and out preventing me from erasing it they escorted me up front where geek squad was able to erase whilst the screen continued glitching during the entire process. They did however get me in the Lenovo Legion 7i which I will write a full review on in that posting but kudo's to the support given from this store and staff. New manager Josh is AMAZING!!!!! Thanks guys I really appreciate you. I very seriously discourage anyone from buying this model.

Disappointing Component Quality

The components are mostly excellent and the build quality is good. However the wireless connectivity is the worst I’ve ever encountered on any computer. It constantly disconnects me from the internet and barely holds a tenth of the download speed I see on my other devices. The wireless card Asus chose for this computer was poor and I can’t in good conscience continue using this product with such unbelievably poor reliability. Any manufacturer should be embarrassed to sell a product with connectivity as poor as this laptop. If you plan to purchase you will need a wired connection or you can expect to be disconnected from browsing sessions and online games every few minutes. I am bitterly upset with my purchase and I’m not sure if Asus can restore my confidence in an otherwise exciting product.

Overheats and crashes

I cannot even run zoom without the Rog crashing. The entire screen freezes I cannot do anything so I have to hold the power button down to turn it off or it just crashes on its own. Believe the associates at BB when they tell you this laptop runs hot it runs extremely hot and it happens almost immediately after starting an application. The only game I have installed is the sims 4 and if I play the game for an hour the laptop fan goes crazy and then boom blue screen of death it reboots or restarts. I’m so disappointed in this brand

Horrible quality control and customer service

The first one had bad light bleed and the second overheated and shut off a lot and the keyboard was messed up too. The best buy rep said they get this model returned constantly. Plus asus has horrible customer service and I was ignored by them on Twitter too. Such a shame as I used to be a huge fan of asus. Time for a lenovo legion I guess.

Poor product, poorer 'support'

That will not continue. This was a terrible product, a lemon that never worked. My son is at college overseas so we couldn't bring the item back immediately every time it failed. It worked for an aggregate of two months over a 12 month period. On the third repair request, we were told that Best Buy closes it's one year warranty period early so that, although we were still technically in warranty, no repairs could be made. Additionally, the repairs are only processed through Best Buy centers so the manufacturer will not support it's product either. No more Asus, no more Best Buy for me. Find a company that recognizes a lemon and will not employ shady behavior to avoid liability for a broken product.

wrong product delivered

Even the brand was different (Ordered ASUS and was delivered MSI). Not sure how such mistakes happen. Upon contacting customer for replacement, they initiated a request to send the correct product so the incorrect product could be returned, however the correct product never got delivered even after the specified time, so I had to return the incorrect product that too after discussing with the rep at store because I did not want to end up keeping it with me. However once the incorrect product was returned, the replacement was cancelled stating that replacement can no longer be possible since the incorrect product was returned. All this caused a lot of problems for the student whose classes had already started and had to use the laptop while all these issues were going on. This was a very bad experience which I had never experienced with Best Buy before.

Computer not working in less than a month

It blue screens quite a bit which is annoying in the middle of playing games. On top of that, the keyboard randomly stops working every few days and I have to troubleshoot it.

Two lemons on this nice of a product is disappoint

Our first kept overheating within the first week of use and had complete crashes. Exchanged it for another one of the same kind. The second didn't overheat as much but still had crashes. Returned the second one too. Wouldn't recommend. A little thing that was annoying is anytime you unplug from the charger you'll lose screen visuals as it switched to battery. A computer this nice should be able to seamless switch imo.

The only way to fix it is that you need to keep holding down the power button for a long time to force a reboot. And it's a common problem with this laptop, there are a lot of identical cases online. Not really recommended.

In 1-year time, the laptop stopped working 3 times

Since the day I bought it, the computer has had issues, and what frustrated me even more was that, unfortunately, only Best Buy can offer support because Asus claims this is an exclusive Best Buy model. To make matters worse, I live in South America. Through friends, I managed to send the laptop for support, which was always a hassle to ship it back and forth to Brazil. Every time it came back, it still had problems, and now it doesn't even recognize the hard drive. I provided all the possible clues to the support team, such as event viewer logs, etc., and it still came back with issues. If you value a reliable warranty, do not buy this laptop.
