    Laptop was great until it decided to restart frequently. I don't blame the laptop. I purchased this open box excellent, however, it was not. When the package arrived I noticed the laptop had some gapping on the front of the device indicative of being opened up and not oit back together properly and damaged. Additionally the laptop did not function as new. Upon heavy loading the dedicated GPU, after about 7 minutes, (reproducable issue using stress tests), the device would simply restart and boot back up as if nothing had happened. I monitored the temperature and voltages and nothing stood out abnormal. Talking with multiple supports yielded no solution which resulted in me returning the laptop. It's clear someone at Best Buy needs to more thoroughly check what open box excellent means. You could assume it was shipping errors, however, there was no obvious damage to the package indicating the product itself was faulty. All that being said, great laptop while it was working definitely recommend it and I actually repurchased a variant of it new. Hopefully it lasts.

    Runs pretty well, Armoury Crate is garbage though and the fact it comes with Windows 11. This is my second one because the first one had disgusting backlight bleeding, 16GB and 512GB is ATROCIOUS for the price, absolute bull. I don't like the hinge for the monitor having to stand on it's own, I would've gotten a 2024 model if the RAM was upgradable. Doesn't come with a freaking AniME matrix aswell.

    Got it cheap but you NEED an extra cooling fan for it, gets burning hot after 5 mins of usage. Like putting your hand on the stove hot… works very well for gaming and music software so I didn’t mind spending the $20 for a good fan Also! Idk if it bothers you but it bothered me… there’s no number pad on the right side of the computer, it’s only the number strip on top jsyk.

    Check the CPU for thermal throttling!!

    The ROG Zephyrus G14 (2023) with the RTX 4060 is an awesome laptop. This was meant to upgrade the 2020 ROG Zephyrus G14 w/ RTX 2060 model I already own. The reason I rated this 3 stars is mostly from the interactions with customer service. The unit I purchased was on a 24-hour sale for $999.00 + tax. I only had it for two weeks. It would thermal throttle and start to show visual artifacts under load. Since I ordered this online from the 24hr sale, I had to speak with the online support to get a replacement setup. I printed the return label and got the defective laptop ready to ship out then next thing I know I got an email stating that the replacement unit was cancelled. Another call to support and they told me that the replacement unit was damaged during shipping. The replacement never shipped out so this didn't make much sense. I was told that I had to return my order and wait for the return to process. Then after I got confirmation of the return I could call the support line again, give them the ticket number and reorder the laptop for a replacement. I'm currently still waiting for the return to process before I can go to the next step.

    The battery is dead after 8 months, and I had to replace it since it was a gift for my nephew, who lives outside of the USA. The speed is quite good. But when you use the dedicated NVIDIA GPU it drains more battery. It won't last more than 2 hrs with Dedicated GPU. And with AMD built-in GPU and power saving mode it last 6/7 hrs. For Gaming, the performance is excellent but the temperature reached at 90c with performance mode. With silent mode or power saving mode it comes at 80c to 85c. So Asus needs to improve it's battery life with Dedicated GPU and temperature controlling.

    It's super fast and plays games really well but that's to be expected. What was unexpected was the track pad out of the box would randomly click even on a level surface and without touching it (not like the surface would matter because this is premium and doesn't flex in the slightest). I had to update the BIOs manually to get the thing to work right. I had ran copious amounts of windows updates since who knows how long it's been boxed up and it even looked like it downloaded a new BIOs but it never installed it thats probably on Windows for that failure but still slightly annoying given the price tag. Another thing that was not expected was that after gaming for <1.5 hours I touched the keyboard (Yes I use controller on PC don't come at me) and it was extremely hot not quiet instant burn hot but definitely hot enough the burn you with continued use all because the default behavior is to when plugged in switch to turbo mode. Which after some testing doesn't do much more that increase the amount of heat it puts out. So I've had to go through everything and tune it to be acceptably cool when plugged in which is not cool (pun intended) because once again given the price tag I wanted an out of the box premium and quality experience especially since this is for my not so tech savvy wife who immediately jumped to lets return it. TDLR; Don't expect greatness out of the box expect to have to tune it to work well

    More of a High-end Office Laptop

    This laptop is fast, runs Windows 11 well and the hardware is really nice. I've used it for almost two weeks now and I don't have many reasons to return it back, but there are a few issues. First, I'll start with the main positives. I like the way the keyboard feels. It's a soft and quiet touch which allows a very satisfying typing experience. My cat was walking across my keyboard and when I picked her up, she ripped off one of the keys with her claws, but I was able to reattach the key no problem. In other words, the keyboard feels great, and the quality of the keys are a worthy match for my cat. The trackpad feels silky and smooth. Clicking down on stuff feels nice, and it's a very soft, buttery feeling dragging my finger over the pad. Opening up the laptop is nice and feels almost watery. The build quality overall is very outstanding, and ASUS did a fantastic job. However, there are always going to be cons. I'd first like to say that switching between the integrated graphics and the 4060 graphics card automatically is a feature I found more annoying than helpful. It causes more time between switching to different programs, rather than it being instant. I ended up switching the mode to GPU only. Sometimes the laptop will just freeze. No rhyme or reason, nothing not even the mouse pointer would be responsive, it would just freeze. Earlier today my laptop randomly restarted itself for no reason. No explanation as to why or warning, it just restarted. Sometimes applications will close on their own, and the prime example is Apex Legends. You can argue that's the game's issue, but where I've had similar bugs across using all the applications regardless, I suspect it's also affecting Apex. In all honestly, aside from the fancy lights and the high refresh rate screen, this feels more like an overkill excuse of an office laptop rather than a high-end gaming laptop, and it's unfortunate. I'm currently financing this device, so I hope over time with all the updates I'll install that it'll improve. Until then I give it a 3 out of 5 (or 6.5 out of 10, but that wasn't an option.)

    10 being the best Screen: 9 Keyboard: 9 Build : 10 (Heavy but love the texture of the hand rests, no fingerprint magnet. Don't like the shiny metal parts of the laptop because that can be easily scratched while traveling with it) Speakers: 2 Thermals: 4 (Not cool during light tastes and using discrete graphics. Very hot during gaming) Battery life: 7 Fan noise: 7 The thermals and speakers are a big turn off for this purchase. Would at least like to have the laptop be able to keep itself cool when working on Microsoft word, but the speakers are a MUST. Do not want to have to wear headphones all the time.

    Purchased when it was on sale on Black Friday and it performed well. Speed is very good and it could play almost any game I threw at it - until it overheated and shut down today while playing Magic Arena. Laptop and keyboard were elevated but got extremely hot despite the fans being on turbo and then the wifi card stopped working. A few moments later the laptop shut off and wouldn't turn on for almost an hour. The laptop wasn't flush on any surface and had plenty of room for airflow - it just couldn't cool as fast as it was heating up.

    The first time I purchased the laptop I had to return it due to the keypad not working from the very moment I started setting it up. From there I was a little skeptical on the manufacturing of the laptop however it ended up working the second time just fine. Other than it getting a little too overheated at times (which I bought a cooling pad to help), the battery lasts quite a long time, the processing speed is fast, and it has decent storage size. I would say it is pretty but expensive for the price.

    this laptop advertises 16 GB of video memory on the box, however, it is noted in the software that this graphics card only has 8 GB of dedicated video memory. This system ran hot, and I mean, hot! When running local large language models. The woofers and tweeters were out of sync, making the audio almost unusable. Otherwise it ran as well as a legacy X86-64 laptop can run.

    Runs amazing when it runs right, crashes randomly too often tho. The battery is solid which is nice and charges fast, but it really is just too glitchy to recommend, with crashes doing simple uses, audio glitches, keyboard crashes, trackpad lag, screen blackouts. Get something else for the same $ but better value.

    Good 14 inch laptop. But while gaming it heats a lot. Matte screen is good and battery life too, but not as good as macbook. I would suggest tonise G-helper instead of Asus armory crate. I l liked the laptop overall but it's heating sometimes irritates me

    This laptop’s performance was ok at best. It’s definitely portable but it has to come with its limitations. It gets very hot and the battery life is very little. It was my first gaming laptop and I was a bit let down. I would only recommend this laptop for less demanding video games.

    Awesome but with one flaw...

    By all counts this could be an amazing laptop. It's small, lightweight, great screen, fast, looks great but with one flaw. We bought this as a gaming laptop for my son, which is what it's designed for. At first he had major issues with overheating and loud fans. That was one of the two main issues. Asus then had an update which totally fixed that issue - it was great! You could hardly hear the fans running after that, and it was running very cool. But unfortunately, the second issue it was having with stuttering while playing certain games did not go away. Sadly, we had to return it since gaming was the main use for the laptop. My son loved this laptop, though. If the stuttering is something you can live with, you'll love this laptop. It has all the other checkmarks.

    The laptop is good for playing games, but I would definitely not purchase again with the price. The laptop occasionally will not turn on, and the keyboard will stop working and the only way to get it to work again is to restart it over and over again. It is very frustrating and definitely don't think its worth the money.

    Put in an average commuter bookbag and the screen was smashed against the keyboard. Customer service did not repair under standard warranty. I had almost no items in the bookbag, the chassis was bent causing the damage. I believe this is due to the magnesium alloy chassis being too soft.

    I liked this computer, it can be used for everything, and you can take it everywhere, if you want to work and play, it is ideal
