MUST BUY! ROG nailed this one.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve owned many computers. And this fits every need. I love the size, performance and battery life. You won’t regret this purchase! I upgraded the ram by adding a 16gb stick in making it 32 gb and upgraded the storage to a 1tb ssd. This laptop unlike others is easy to get into and fix. Display is amazing! I play with a laptop stand and a little fan to help with cooling and I’ve had no issues at all with cooling!

Best laptop for portability without sacrifice
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very high performance for such a small machine, looks cool and has a magnesium alloy chassis. Handles everything I’ve thrown at it but it does get volcanically hot, doesn’t bother me but makes me question the lifespan. Other than that it’s perfect for me going to college and gaming, battery life is amazing too. Wouldn’t pay the retail 1600 though, it doesn’t have enough power to justify that. 1,100 on sale is perfect. You can get more powerful laptops for that price but it won’t be in such a small form factor, this is a laptop for someone with portability as the main priority but doesn’t want to sacrifice much power to get it

||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: This is an awesome laptop with great preformance and good (its a gaming laptop) battery life. The first thing I did was to run cinebench r23 and she goes! I have yet to actually utilize 100% of the cpu in any daily task or game, perfect for future proofing. The rtx 4060 is a small monster that can play most of my steam library at native res high settings. The last pro would be the battery life. It is better than 95% of all the other gaming laptops, at least on battery saving. I would point you toward Jarodd's tech (i think) if you want a much fuller review. Ok. Lastly, ITS WHITE! the color is kinda nice but, oh boy, have a microfiber cloth to go. And it is small (in a good way). Cons: Price. I got it on sale. Thank goodness. Also, when the gpu starts to get to about 75-80 degrees c, the fans sound like an f-22 doing a flyover 50 ft from the ground. However, the fans don't scream (pitch), which makes the noise MUCH more bearable. I had a chromebook before this fellow and its fan (yes, one) had the ability to act as a dog whistle. Summary: Very good. Buy if you like a snazzy laptop that can fit snuggly in your bag. I wish there was a darker color that didn't attract all the pencil lead in your bag.

Great gaming performance with good battery life
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop can run RDR2 with high to ultra settings and have more than 70 fps with DLSS enabled. 4060 is more than capable of running games at 1600p. CPU is even faster compare to GPU. It is very light weight, easy to carry around. I usually get around 7 to 8 hours of battery when DGPU is disabled. Please note that the resolution is 2560*1600 with 16:10 aspect ratio. Most games support 16:10 but you have to use 16:9 for games that don’t support it. The display is beautiful even though it’s not OLED. The stereo is great with built in dolby atoms. The fan noise can get a bit loud during gameplay with turbo mode but it’s not a deal breaker. 512gb SSD is relatively small which is the only downside of this model. And there is only one SSD slot so you have to swap it to have a larger SSD. Overall it has great performance and you should pick one up when it’s on sale.

Pretty Reasonable Machine
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While I've got a solid desktop for my main work at home, having something reasonably portable and capable when traveling was what I was looking for here. My previous laptop was a 2016 Razer Blade 14, which served me well (until the battery gave up), so a similar sized and reasonably powerful machine was what I was looking for (without the major cost of a Razer device). Battery life is solid. Being a secondary device, I primarily was charging it very infrequently (~ 1 time a week or so), and even when I was using it for web and work related tasks, it had plenty of life for what I needed (Windows reported as high as 13hrs, but I wasn't too sure about that). Gaming Performance was reasonable for the games that I'd keep on a travel device (a mix of singleplayer and multiplayer mainstream titles). It is a little jarring when the computer switches from the AMD integrated GPU to the Nvidia GPU as the screen goes black briefly when it switches over. Keyboard feels pretty good for typing, good key-travel and feel. And the trackpad is nice, felt pretty reasonable (though I daily drive plugging in a mouse) Upgradeability is acceptable with 1 DDR5 SO-DIMM slot available and you can change out the stock NVME SSD with a larger capacity one. ASUS has pretty solid documentation on how to do these upgrades on their support site (both upgrades I did on my own). Note: the stock RAM on the machine is soldered onto the mainboard. I/O is reasonable for a laptop this size, no complaints here. The webcam has Windows Hello facial recognition which is nice, and does 1080p video which is also nice. I'm not a huge fan of the power adapter plugging in midway on the left side of the chassis, though that is due to their design of the display and the cooling system taking up the back half of the chassis. It's manageable none the less. I would have preferred the power adapter plugging in further back on the chassis. Speaking of the power adapter, a 240W power adapter is pretty chunky, so do have some room for that in your bag. All things considered so far, I really like this laptop for the feature set and price. Get some hands on time if it's at a local store. Cool things for future iterations Would be nice if USB-C PD 240W existed and the charger used USB-C for charging rather than the barrel jack.

WONDERFUL
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An Incredible Gaming and Productivity Powerhouse – Worth Every Penny! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I've been using the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (Moonlight White) for a while now, and I can confidently say it's one of the best gaming and productivity laptops I’ve ever owned. Whether I’m gaming, working, or multitasking, this machine handles everything effortlessly with its AMD Ryzen 9 processor and NVIDIA RTX 4060 GPU. Performance: The Ryzen 9 CPU and RTX 4060 deliver a blazing-fast experience across the board. Games run buttery smooth, even at high settings, and demanding tasks like video editing or 3D rendering don’t slow it down at all. Plus, the 165Hz QHD display makes everything look insanely crisp and fluid. Design & Build: The Moonlight White finish gives it a sleek and premium look, and the build quality is sturdy yet lightweight for a gaming laptop. It’s compact and easy to carry, making it great for travel or remote work without sacrificing power. Battery Life: For a gaming laptop, battery life is surprisingly good. While gaming obviously drains it faster, I can get around 8-10 hours of light use (web browsing, media, etc.), which is way better than most gaming laptops. Cooling & Noise: The cooling system is solid, and even under load, the fans aren’t obnoxiously loud like some other gaming laptops. It stays cool during extended gaming sessions, which is impressive for such a powerful, compact device. Final Thoughts: This laptop is an absolute beast for gaming, content creation, and productivity. If you’re looking for a powerful, stylish, and portable gaming laptop, the ROG Zephyrus G14 is 100% worth it. Easily one of the best purchases I’ve made! Would I recommend it? Absolutely!

||Posted . Having owned the 2022 G14, I was excited to see how the 4060 version would fare, and it exceeded my expectations. This laptop strikes a fantastic balance between power and thermals, all at an attractive price point. The sleek and lightweight body design exudes a premium feel, while the white color not only looks great but also stays remarkably clean. Unleashing Unexpected Power At first, I had reservations about the RTX 4060's capability, but I was proven wrong. The 16 TFLOPS power in this laptop surprised me, enabling me to achieve upwards of 125 FPS on QHD resolution in games like MW2. It handles every game I throw at it, including titles like Dead Space and Cyberpunk 2077. The nebula display's 500 nits brightness delivers crisp visuals, with minimal backlight bleed – just a slight bit in the bottom right corner. Movies and YouTube videos are a treat, thanks to Dolby Atmos-supported speakers. I'm even planning to upgrade the storage and RAM to enhance its capabilities further. Cool, Quiet, and Ready for Anything One standout feature is how cool and quiet the laptop remains even during extended gaming sessions. Compared to last year's model, it's noticeably cooler and quieter, providing a much more comfortable gaming experience. The RGB backlit keyboard adds a stylish touch and contributes to the overall immersive feel. Unmatched Performance The Ryzen 9 7940HX CPU coupled with the RTX 4060 GPU delivers impeccable performance. While there are some optimizations required to make the most of its potential, once set up, the laptop handles AAA titles with ease. It's worth noting that playing while plugged in provides a substantial performance boost compared to running on battery. Display settings and GPU utilization can be fine-tuned for optimal gaming experience. Stunning Display and Design The laptop boasts a stunning 2.5k 165Hz display with 500 nits brightness and a wide color gamut, making it perfect for gaming and creative work. The symmetrical and futuristic design, along with the white clamshell, adds to its aesthetic appeal. The hinge design not only looks great but also improves keyboard comfort. Exceptional Keyboard and Trackpad Asus excels in keyboard and trackpad design, and the Zephyrus G14 is no exception. The responsive keyboard with its well-spaced keys and thoughtful layout enhances the overall typing experience. The glass-like trackpad is a standout feature with its smooth surface and responsiveness. The Ideal Blend of Performance and Portability To sum it up, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 2023 model offers exceptional performance and portability. Its powerful internals, stunning display, thoughtful design, and impressive keyboard and trackpad make it an excellent choice for gamers and creators alike. The laptop's thermal management is impressive, ensuring cool and quiet gaming sessions. If you're seeking an RTX 4060 gaming laptop, the ROG Zephyrus G14 is an outstanding option that won't disappoint. Highly recommended!

2023 G14 with RTX 4060 16GB of ram and 512SSD
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model with the 4060 seems to have the right balance of power and thermals at a great price. I have the 2022 G14 with the 6700 as well. My son fell in love with it, so I gave it to him for college. The laptop is nice and light with a solid build and just feels very premium. The white color looks great and is super easy to keep clean. I want to be honest here and tell everyone at first, I did not think the 4060 version would be powerful enough for what I wanted to do. I found out this 4060 on this laptop has 16 TFLOPS! I am able to get upwards of 125 FPS on MW2 when gaming at QHD and this model can run any game I have, Dead space and Cyber punk 2077 etc. The nebula display is wonderful at 500 nits of brightness and looks crisp and clear. I have almost 0 backlight bleed when I ran the test. Just a tiny bit in the bottom right corner. I can hardly notice it, but it is there. When watching movies or YouTube it is a real treat. The sound from the speakers is amazing for such a small laptop. Yes, it has Dolby Atmos! I am about to add a 2TB SSD and another 16 GB of ram for about $200 as this one is a keeper! Why spend more for what I don't need is my thought. I feel for $1599 you get what you pay for. Another big surprise to me was how cool this laptop stays for long gaming sessions. It is much quieter and cooler than last year's model. Overall, I highly recommend this year's model with the 4060 and have had 0 issues with it from day 1.

Amazing piece of machine for the right price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast, reliable, great battery, and an amazing screen. Bought it as our home computer with an ability to play video games. We’re loving it and would highly recommend this pc to anyone. For the right price you get a lot of high end equipment. I upgraded storage to 2TB 960 evo hard drive and added additional 16gb of ram. It’s extremely fast now.

Great for college
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 2023 ASUS G14 with RTX 4060 has been a perfect choice for me as a college student. Its impressive performance handles everything I throw at it, from heavy multitasking to gaming and graphic-intensive tasks. The RTX 4060 ensures smooth gameplay and quick rendering times, while the Ryzen 9 cpu is great for my workload. One of the standout features is the battery life—it’s amazing! I can go 9+ hours or a full day of classes without worrying about it dying unlike my(ahem HP). It is alsp sooo light. How do you do it Asus??

Awesome Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this on the BF deal of $1149. Upgraded the SSD to 2TB and the ram to 48GB. The size and speed of this thing is sweet. The screen is perfect. Battery life could be better but with some tweaking with settings, its acceptable. Definitely recommend this if you can get it on sale and I'm sure with the holidays not over just yet, it could go on sale again.

Best laptop ive ever owned
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s honestly hard to know where to start on a review of this thing because its that good. I am a game developer and was looking for something use as our mid range spec testing. So i grabbed this on black friday. I didnt have any plans on regularly using this laptop. But after being hands on with it. I can honestly say this is the best laptop i have ever used. The build quality is amazing, it looks amazing, amazing screen. And very very good power to back it all up and earn its name as a gaming machine. My favorite thing is how small this laptop is. It’s actually portable. Like seriously you can take this somewhere like a coffee shop or to class and people would never know its a gaming machine.

Best laptop I've ever had (and I'm in IT!)
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this laptop. Incredible upgrade from my Dell G5 series (which was a good laptop). I upgraded the memory and SSD almost immediately, but the laptop was fine right out of the box. - I like the matte feel of the case surface, doesn't attract fingerprints but I do worry about the white getting dirty over time. - The screen hinge at the back creates a gap when open, so there is airflow which helps keep this monster cool when gaming. Lots of ports around the machine for air flow. - The backlit keyboard is bright, but can be turned down. I like mine full blast. - The AMD Ryzen 9 7000 series paired with the Geforce RTX 4060 just screams. - I picked up a Crucial RAM 32GB DDR5 4800MHz sodimm, works great. Matched the specs to the onboard RAM. Total RAM is 48 GB now. - I swapped the NVME with a Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe drive, at 1TB. There's only one NVMe slot. - Opening the case is easy (Thanks ASUS!). Keep in mind that ONE screw on the case does not come out like the rest - this is on purpose. Once the other screws are out, this screw slightly pushes up the bottom panel, to give you easier access to open the laptop with scraping. Use plastic tools! - USB: Two USB A and one USB C (non charging, but DP capable) port on the right side. One more USB C (charging capable) on the left. - HDMI 2.1 port on the left - Display: 14-inch QHD+ 16:10 (2560 x 1600, WQXGA) - One left headphone jack, and one microSD card port on the right. This is my first ASUS and I'm glad I got it! While doing my research on the different laptops out there, I kept coming back to Best Buy and the ASUS ROG machines. Also, Best Buy keeps their prices competitive, and this laptop went go on/off sale often - keep an eye on the pricing and you can get a good deal. The only thing I really miss is the number pad, but everything else I gained with this Zephyrus far outweighs that! Best Buy and ASUS ROG forever now :)

Small laptop that packs a punch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Starting on my first semester of college and needed a small light laptop that I can carry around campus that is still powerful enough to run my games. It runs pretty much anything I throw at it on maximum settings with little issues. Cyberpunk gets 60-80 fps with ray tracing and everything on max, with most other AAA games getting the same performance. I just wish it came with more ram out of the box. The 16 gigs of ram is a major bottle neck and you pretty much have to get another 16 gig stick if you want to get the max potential out of this thing. Would be nice if it had an ethernet port, but with how small the laptop is they obviously had to make some compromises, and that issue can be fixed with an adapter anyway. I haven't had any issues with overheating, ASUS did a great job with the thermals on this. Would not recommend keeping it on your lap though, under heavy load the outside gets up to 120F. The battery is OKAY. I can get 5-8 hours out of it under light load, only about an hour playing a game, if you plan on travelling with it a power bank is a must. The QHD screen is overkill being only 14 inches but it does look amazing. Overall this thing is an absolute beast and well worth the money.

Great laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is very good, use it specially for coding, but also on games. Battery and charging is excellent, but not long while playing AAA games. Awesome how the fans can be changed to a certain speed, and how smooth it runs on high quality. Siege works PERFECT on max settings, just be aware to keep an eye on the battery. It does heat up fast, so make sure to open it all the way.

Ol’ Reliable
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted something more reliable than a basic mac so I could work on college assignments and play games while saving money since I don’t play console. I went ahead and splurged on this laptop a while back. Great performance on the laptop so far. I downloaded RDR2, Sea of Thieves, Subnautica, Diablo4, Overwatch, LOL, VAL, Fortnite, and other smaller games (only have OW, SoT, and Diablo4, and Roblox as of this moment). Fan gets really loud when in turbo/high performance mode which makes sense, majority of the stuff I play takes heavy storage space and the battery isn’t late, but it’s always plugged in so I don’t have much of an issue on that part. Bit of a slow startup when loading bigger games but I’m more than patient to play my favorites. This things pretty awesome.

Tiny but Powerful
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first gaming laptop. I was able to grab it while it was on sale. Currently, for the full price, I'd almost say go with the 2024 version... I'm super impressed with the performance this little guy has. I grabbed a 2TB SSD to swap out before I booted it up, and it was a smooth install. Being able to install the OS from the BIOS was pretty easy. There's been some issues I've read about on here, but just make sure the date & time are correct and you should be good to go. It's done great with every game I've thrown at it. It even is able to run some my old gaming PC couldn't. I'm still trying to tweak things with the battery, trying to maximize battery life. I do recommend getting rid of a few bloatware apps, and installing G-Helper. I also noticed that the front facing camera is 1080p, even though in the specs it's listed as 720p.

Well constructed, Powerful, lightweight and Sleek.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a well constructed and powerful laptop. Small form factor, very thin, lightweight and aesthetically pleasing. Minimalist yet stylish. We are at a crossroads where technology exceeds the gaming requirements and this laptop fits the bill at a pricepoint that cannot be ignored. I thought I would need to ipgrade the memory or the NVME SSD storage but I only play 1 or 2 games at any given time and I have not had any memory issues. I have ran multiple games at max settings and with very generous FPS. It seems tdch upgrades are all aboit getting extra frames or runinng high performance on multiple monitors which I am not concerned about. Best bang for the buck if caught on sale when it was $500 off. If this wouldnt have been on sale at such a great price I woild have boight a much larger Asus Tuff.

A small beast of a machine.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Performance and battery have been great so far I can easily get 9-10 hours of video playback without dimming the display all the way down, and the ability to disable dGPU without requiring a restart is a must-have feature. I would also recommend upgrading the ram to 32GBs or more as there is an empty SODIMM slot.
