Colors are rich, blacks are deep, and the 120Hz refresh rate makes everything feel smooth and responsive. This made my games look exceptional on the go. Performance was equally impressive. I played a bunch of games from my library including Red Dead Redemption 2, Star Wars Outlaws, and Microsoft Flight Simulator, and all ran smoothly with beautiful detail and fast load times. The Ryzen 9 processor and RTX 4060 combo handled everything I threw at it with ease. Even in demanding scenes, gameplay stayed consistent and immersive. What was amazing was that all that gaming power was in a sleek portable laptop. It’s lightweight and easy to carry around, but still feels well-built. For something this compact, the power inside is seriously impressive. It also ran cooler and quieter than I expected, even during longer sessions. This G14 absolutely crushes it. The OLED display is gorgeous, colors pop, and games run buttery smooth thanks to the new Ryzen AI 9 and RTX graphics. It’s light, premium, and perfect for both gaming and creative work. Fans get a bit loud under load, but performance never drops. Battery life is decent for the power you get. Easily one of the best 14" laptops out there — powerful, portable, and built like a tank. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 14" OLED 3K 120Hz Gaming Laptop, powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 270, with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, GeForce RTX 5060 graphics and 1TB SSD in platinum white is a STUNNING example of what a gaming laptop should be! Granted, it is not the top of the line, but it serves its purpose extremely well. There are settings galore in the Armoury Crate application. Personally, I didn't care for the "slash" lighting on the laptop cover, so I was able to turn it off there. You can also make all sorts of adjustments/choices based on how you intend to use your laptop. This laptop is thin and light-weight (3.31lbs, due to the aluminum) with a brilliant OLED display at 3k resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The platinum white is nice, but I thought it was going to be white. It looks more silver to me, but the keyboard and the trackpad are white. It does run a bit hot, but it hasn't bothered me or affected my gameplay. It does have what ASUS calls "Intelligent Cooling", so that helps. I don't play games on my lap, and that helps too. The sound on this is a big surprise for me with unexpected bass and I can blast this thing! Music sounds really nice coming from the 6 speakers positioned on the left and right sides of the keyboard. It comes with CoPilot AI, which is a magnificent, helpful tool for all kinds of things. I use it to stretch my imagination because it can create so much so easily. When not gaming, this laptop is an incredible multi-functional tool that I use for everything I need to accomplish. The 16gb of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD Storage provide more than I need to do all of my tasks, even at the same time. I just don't know why ASUS has to solder the RAM, making it non-upgradeable. If you buy the model with 16gb, there is no changing it, so make sure you purchase the model with the right amount of RAM for you. The connectivity is good with 2 USB-C, HDMI 2.1, micro SD card reader, 2 USB-A 3.2 gen 2. There is a microphone/headphone jack as well. I actually don't use the provided power supply and use a USB-C power supply instead because I use this for most of my devices, and it is just easier and it works just fine. Maybe a bit slower to charge is all. They also include a 3 month PC game pass which I love because for those 3 months, I can check out a lot of games! Just remember to cancel before the 3 months are up if you don't want it! Overall, I just love my new ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 14" OLED 3K 120Hz Gaming Laptop with AMD Ryzen 9 270 processor, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM GeForce RTX 5060 graphics and a 1TB SSD. There is a lot to this laptop with more settings I haven't even touched yet! For gaming, this thing rocks - it is a solid choice. The 2025 Zephyrus G14 absolutely nails the case design when open and closed and viewed from the top. The platinum white finish and clean lines look fantastic—sleek, modern, and just a little bit flashy without being over-the-top. It’s the kind of laptop you actually want to show off. But then you flip it over, and wow, the bottom is just plain ugly. I get that all those vents are there for cooling and airflow (and yes, it runs cool and quiet), but it’s a mess visually. It’s functional, but if you care about aesthetics, don’t spend much time admiring the underside. Keyboard and Typing Experience The keyboard is pretty good. On the plus side, the key travel and feel are just right—there’s a satisfying resistance and a positive, clicky press that makes fast typing a breeze. I felt totally confident hammering away at 90wpm. Where it falls short is the “gamer” font ASUS insists on using. The text is angular and hard to read at a glance. If you’re a touch typist, you’ll barely notice, but if you hunt and peck, expect to make more errors than usual. It’s a weird design choice for a laptop that otherwise feels so refined. Display and Performance That 14-inch OLED display is beautiful. Colors are punchy, blacks are deep, and the refresh rate makes everything from gaming to scrolling through documents look smooth. The bezels are thin, and the panel gets bright enough for most environments. If you just want your games and movies to look their best, this screen delivers. Which makes me sad to say that this laptop is only really good for basic production and creative work. Primarily because the RAM is limited to 16GB and since it’s soldered you can never have more than that much RAM. Fortunately, the speed of the RAM makes up for the lack of it, but for a gaming laptop of this class, having 32GB seems like the minimum requirement in 2025. Performance is what you’d expect from a top-tier G14. The AMD Ryzen 9 270 and RTX 5060 combo has no problem in modern games at high settings in HD resolutions, and the 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM keeps the processors fed pretty well. The 1TB SSD is fast and has plenty of space for a solid game library. Thermals are well-managed, thanks in part to all those bottom vents, so you don’t have to worry about overheating during long sessions. I would say your rez should be between 1080P and 1440P depending on the game’s age. Although older games can use the display at native resolution, doing modern games will not go well because of the GPU RAM limit. Everyday Use Port selection is solid for a 14-inch laptop—USB-C, HDMI, and more—so you’re covered for most accessories and displays. The trackpad is smooth and responsive, and the overall build feels premium and sturdy, even if the bottom is an eyesore. Battery life is decent for a gaming laptop, but don’t expect all-day unplugged gaming; it’s best for work, browsing, or media on the go. Plug in for most games or you’ll have a massively diminished experience. Downsides -Bottom of the case is ugly, but functional with all those vents. -Keyboard font is hard to read for non-touch typists. -Speakers are decent but not mind-blowing—fine for games and movies, but you’ll want headphones for serious audio. -No SD card slot, which would have been nice for creators. The 2025 Zephyrus G14 is a killer compact gaming laptop with a gorgeous display, strong performance, and a premium feel—just don’t expect to love every design choice. If you can live with the ugly bottom and quirky keyboard font, this is one of the best 14-inch gaming laptops you can buy right now. Definitely a buy for anyone who wants power and style in a portable package. I can recommend this laptop fully!

The ROG Zephyrus is a tiny beast, and ASUS has done an exceptional job cramming genuine power into a truly slim and portable device. This is genuinely the first laptop that I have felt truly lives up to the hype and balances work and fun in a usable, fulfilling, and satisfying way. First, the OLED screen is miraculous! The image quality is astounding; colors are electric and vivid while the black levels are unmatched. It's time to stop worrying about image burn-in. I have not experienced any ghost images - and the image quality is SOOO much better than anything else I have experienced that I am thrilled I made the jump. I absolutely love that Microsoft's CoPilot AI is integrated into the device (with a dedicated keyboard button) as it helps immensely with questions regarding settings and performance. Now, instead of fumbling around with performance settings, I can literally ask CoPilot how a specific game will perform based on settings and the specs of the laptop. If you want to know if the Zephyrus is capable of the work you perform, or the game you play - literally just ask. Seriously, try it right now. Here are the summary specs: AMD Ryzen 9 270 W Radeon 780M Graphics, 4001 Mhz, 8 Cores, 16 threads For example, CoPilot confirms that the system can play Doom The Dark Ages or Cyberpunk 2077 with ease. I have had no trouble getting over 60 FPS consistently on any of the games I have played so far. Battery life is good overall and allows over 2.5 hours of gaming on the go - although performance is obviously improved while plugged in. I don't like that the device is powered by a proprietary 200W rectangular DC plug, but due to the high-power demands of performance gaming, USB-C simply cannot provide enough power. Thankfully, ASUS still allows slower charging (from either side of the laptop) via USB-C. This is extremely helpful and I am able to still use the several other USB-C chargers I have scattered around the house (such as the charging cable from my ROG Ally). Not only has ASUS managed to cram a surprising amount of power into the Zephyrus, but they also paid attention to finer details. For example, I greatly appreciate that the lid can be opened with one hand without also lifting up the base of the laptop. The corners are softly rounded so that the laptop doesn't want to cut its way out of backpacks, totes, luggage etc. There are plenty of ports including HDMI, USB-C, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and yes - a Micro USB slot. The system can feel a bit cluttered with Windows 11, the ASUS Armory Crate, NVIDIA GeForce, and Xbox Game Bar all fighting for attention and control, but with a bit of experimentation, users will figure out the option that suits them best. Just make sure to update the NVIDIA drivers or initial performance will suffer greatly. The Slash Lighting LED Strip on the lid of the laptop is cool for about 2 seconds, but is then absolutely useless. The feature has limited settings and drains the battery unnecessarily. The feature draws attention to the laptop - which may be good advertising for ASUS as people ALWAYS ask about it, but as the lighting is out of view to the user. Plus, I can never easily distinguish what notification is actually activating the light. I would rather have RGB lighting in a more visible location (and have a clear indication of what initiates the lighting effects). Cons: - Set-up takes a long time and requires significant updates to Windows and to NVIDIA Drivers - No camera cover - Uses proprietary charging cable - Slash lighting is a useless gimmick that wastes battery The Zephyrus is easy to recommend as it has an exceptional screen, good battery, excellent gaming performance, and absolutely outshines every other laptop I have used.

So I’ve been using the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 for a little over a week now, and I have to say — it’s kind of the perfect mix for what I was looking for. I’ve been running GTA5 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare online on it without a hitch, and I’ve also tested it out on some light video editing and the usual spreadsheet grind. So far, it’s performed really well with everything that I've thrown at it. One of the first things I noticed was the build. It feels solid, but it’s lightweight enough that I could actually see myself traveling with it. That’s rare for a gaming laptop. It looks clean and professional too — not over-the-top with RGB lights blasting everywhere. There’s a small LED strip on the back that you can set to a solid color or just turn off, which is nice if you're trying not to draw attention in a conference room. The screen is really impressive. That OLED panel is sharp, colors are rich, and it’s easy on the eyes whether I’m gaming or going through emails and docs. Text is super crisp too, which makes work a little less painful. Typing on it feels great, no complaints there. The trackpad is smooth too, but I do kind of wish it wasn’t mechanical. It works fine, just something I noticed — especially when I’ve got Dorito fingers from a late-night gaming session. You know how it goes. Performance has been solid across the board. TLDR; Great performance to battery ratio, beautiful screen, loud when hot, fast enough for most gamers, decent speakers. When received, this laptop had quite a few updates to go through, make sure you go through all of it; you'll have to update the nvidia drivers, armory crate, myASUS updates, and of course windows itself. Windows will need to do it several times as it uses an older Windows and it comes in different stages of updates. After completing all that, which took a few hours, I immediately downloaded 3dmark to get an idea of some sense of performance. I included screenshots of some benchmarks for reference, including Steel Mad, Port Royal, Timespy etc. See the screen shots. This was plugged in and under performance mode. The scores were definitely not "off the chart" as it runs a 5060 when compared to those $5000 laptops running 5090's, but it was very fast and respectable. The system itself feels snappy with the Ryzen 9 chip, and 16gb DDR5. The hard specs you can see on the spec sheet, in real world use it feels snappy enough where you forget it's a 14" laptop. I was able to throw in some Diablo 4, Expedition 33, and Overwatch, all >60fps at it's lowest settings without being plugged in, with Diablo 4 dipping more than the other 2 to 30s when it clutters on the screen. The keyboard feels clicky enough without sounding too loud / obnoxious, trackpad was pretty standard, speakers sounded great for it's size, and I was able to stay in a zoom meeting while browsing the internet for about 3.5 hours, which was great relative to most laptops. You can charge the laptop with the included adapter, but also was able to charge via USB-C which was nice. The keyboard RGB and the laptop cover streak of light on the back was customizable, but very simple patterns only, nothing too complex. I do appreciate the simplicity. Finally when you are using the laptop, be aware of the setting in armory crate/myASUS. Choosing balanced may slow down the computer but extends your battery life, I've kept it at turbo/ultra as much as possible so my review is based mostly off the ultra/turbo settings (for speedy/fast). Would definitely recommend this laptop for most people. It's the perfect balance

The 2025 ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is a seriously impressive little gaming beast. The 14 inch OLED 3K display is one of the best I’ve seen. The colors are vibrant and the 120Hz refresh rate is perfect for high framerate gaming. The RTX 5060 is what it is. Don’t expect AAA gaming at a full 3K, but don’t fool yourself into thinking you can do some serious gaming on the go. You have a solid dedicated GPU at your disposal, and it makes a huge difference. Modern triple A games won’t have any issue running at 1080P and many will run at 1440P well above 60FPS. DLSS is available too, so frame generation is also available. Marvel Rivals at 1440P and medium settings easily ran above 160FPS. The MUX switch is perfect for a 14 laptop. Being able to automatically switch to the integrated GPU when not gaming makes everyday tasks like internet browsing and streaming a total ease while still preserving battery life. Multiple tabs open, video streaming, and downloads all run at the same time without any slowdown. For productivity, I appreciate the OLED screen and the overall strong performance. Video calls look sharp and multimedia tasks are a pleasure. The keyboard is comfortable and one of the nicer offerings for the size. Battery life is what you’d expect from a gaming laptop. The RGB features are fun and what you’d hope for in a higher end gaming machine. Asus goes above and beyond with the design and LED strip on the top of the lid. The visual design is top notch. It’s not perfect. However, for the size, design, and performance I only have a couple of nags. One, this thing gets hot. Like unbearably hot. Like "gaming on your lap is probably out of the question" hot. Two, and maybe I’m just spoiled from other “no longer available in the USA” laptop manufacturers, but the brightness stepping on the LEDs is too drastic. I want a dimly lit keyboard, here you get 3 steps ranging from bright to super bright. If you want a portable gaming machine that can still be used as a daily driver, this might be the one. If you want 4K Cyberpunk at 60FPS, you might need to find something a little larger with a 5080. It's a big thumbs up for me!

I bought this ASUS G14 based on my friend’s recommendation—he did a lot of research and said it’s basically the only real gaming laptop in a 14-inch form factor. Turns out, he was right. My only concern isn’t really about the hardware, but the software. Microsoft Copilot and Windows 11, along with ASUS Armory Crate, feel a bit heavy. On startup, the system already uses around 6GB of RAM, which means about 50% usage on the 16GB version by default. That said, I haven’t experienced any real performance issues so far. I believe with some tweaks—removing or optimizing unnecessary software—you can get even better efficiency. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this laptop.

The best practical gaming laptop I have ever had. The fact that this laptop is under 3.5 pounds amazes me. I have tried a lot of other gaming laptops, and they all were too bulky and heavy to actually be portable. This is the only laptop I have found that will easily fit in a standard backpack/briefcase and doesn't destroy my back when traveling with it. As a mid 30's gamer it's also perfect for me because I love gaming but I also don't want a laptop that just screams LOOK AT ME IM A GAMER! and blinds everyone with RGB. This is the classy man's gaming laptop IMO. The OLED screen is awesome, which makes it also great for media consumption and photo/video editing (tough if you are going to be doing a lot of that the 32GB RAM model would be better) and it has the BEST feeling track pad I have every used. Whatever they use to get the texture has ruined all other trackpads for me. The webcam is also perfectly fine for ZOOM and Teams meetings. Oh plus, the speakers are amazing too, crazy loud and clear. Only have two small issues with it. One is that during long gaming session the back does get very hot unless the fans are set to turbo which is pretty loud. No louder than majority of gaming laptops though. But a 3D printed stand I made to prob the backup fixed that, just an extra step and thing to carry to get that. Wish they just make the rear bottom foot taller. The second is the aluminum frame is very thin and that makes it fragile. Being soooo much lighter than the other slim/thin/lite versions from other companies they could have bumped the weight to like 3.75 pounds and add some more metal around the corners for protection or made the rubber feet larger. Almost put battery life as a minor weakness but when looking at it in the context of gaming laptops its above average. Plus it charges back to full very fast. In summary if you want a gaming laptop that you can actually put in any backpack/suitcase, play at the airport, on a plane, on a road trip or that won't ruin your back this is the only one you should get. If you have a desktop at home than its even more of a no brainer.

I am coming from a 2022 model. So this is a major upgrade. It is a bit smaller than my previous one but i like the new refreshed look. The slash is a nice visual addition and helps keep the laptop have a more refined look. I could take out my previous one in a office setting and no one could tell this was a gaming laptop. This model takes it even further with design changes. The performance boost from 3000 series gpu to 5000 series gpu is a welcome upgrade too. I love this laptop the build quality the performance and the sheer BEAUTY this thing is.

I’ve tested both versions of the 2025 ROG Zephyrus G14 — the RTX 5060 and the RTX 5070 Ti — and wanted to share my experience for anyone deciding between the two. Performance The 5060 surprised me with how capable it was. I played The Witcher 3, The Last of Us Part I, and Cyberpunk 2077, and it handled all of them well with DLSS Frame Gen and some careful tuning. You’ll need to tweak settings for the best balance — expect GPU/RAM usage around 95–99 %, but it delivers smooth gameplay once optimized. After upgrading to the 5070 Ti, the difference was instantly noticeable. With 12 GB VRAM, I can run those same games at high/ultra settings — 1440p or 4 K when docked — with Frame Gen on Quality or even off without stuttering. GPU and RAM utilization dropped to ~60 %, meaning the system has more headroom and stays cooler. Portability & Battery Life I originally owned a ROG Strix 16 5070 Ti — great performance, but too bulky with poor battery life. The G14 is the total opposite: light, compact, and efficient. Even the 5060 variant offered excellent battery life for a gaming laptop, making it ideal for travel or unplugged work. The 5070 Ti maintains good endurance and gives you full performance when plugged in. Value & Pricing For that small jump, the 5070 Ti feels absolutely worth it. It provides better longevity, smoother performance, and peace of mind knowing you won’t need to compromise settings in future games. That said, if you can find the 5060 model for around low $1 000 or less, it’s a ridiculous value — cheaper than an iPhone yet powerful enough for modern gaming and productivity in 2025. Final Verdict • G14 (5070 Ti): The sweet spot for those wanting portable power without sacrificing performance or thermals. • G14 (5060): A budget-friendly alternative that still delivers impressive results with a bit of tuning. For me, the Zephyrus G14 5070 Ti is hands-down the best overall laptop of 2025 — perfect balance of performance, portability, and battery life.

Portable gaming beast. I love the OLED screen in such a portable size. It is indeed quick at doing most tasks. The one thing I deducted a star for was it does overheat while playing extensive gaming. At one point the game I was playing froze. It gets very hot so may need a laptop cooler. Oterwise very happy and better value on sale vs others in it's class.

Pros: - Beautiful screen - Lightweight - Excellent battery life when not gaming. - Good resources for most computer tasks. Cons: - Gets hot easily. I won’t blame Asus for this because every laptop I've ever owned overheats easily. - Can’t upgrade the memory. I probably should have gotten the 32GB version, but my lack of research is not Asus’s fault. - Driver issues. I'm not sure if it’s just me, but I've had to troubleshoot several driver issues. It could be Asus, or AMD, or Microsoft, but I’ve had to troubleshoot more than usual. The Chat AI bots say it’s because the laptop is so new that all the drivers haven’t been worked out. -I'm taking off one star for Asus's Armoury Crate. I should not have to use such a bloated program just to turn off the rainbow bright lights on this laptop. It can overwrite other Windows settings, so you have to make sure to change it to "Operating Mode: Windows" for both battery and plugged in, or else you might get confused when you change a setting in Windows and A.C. overwrites it. But, overall it's a very good laptop.

What got me excited I’ve been a big fan of ASUS laptops for a while now. What I’m expecting I’m expecting a great gaming experience that also doubles as my daily laptop for business and some media consumption. What’s included in the packaging? Out of the box you get two smaller boxes. One has the laptop and inserts, and the other has the power adaptor. My first impressions First, I was surprised by two things. It’s pretty light. I guess with a 14 inch laptop, it’s going to be lighter than its bigger brother. Second, despite its light weight, it’s got a nice hefty feeling to it. Let’s try it out Right off the bat, there are certain limitations that you will encounter trying to play modern games in ultra settings using a RTX 5060. Let’s get this out of the way, 4K gaming is not really a good option with this laptop. Unless you don’t care about framerate. If you like playing at 1080p or 1440p with ultra settings, then this should work nicely. The keyboard is fantastic to type on. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the keys on the keyboard seem larger than on others. The trackpad is also quite large and responsive. I love laptops don’t aren’t fingerprint machines, and G14 fits the bill. The finish also feels great. This is the first laptop I’ve seen that has an airplane mode button on it. Weird. The G14 has a great hinge. When you lift the screen, there’s a little wiggling, but it’s minor. The one feature I wish all companies would adopt is having a dedicated volume and mic mute keys like the G14. It’s cumbersome having to fit the FN (Function) button and whichever top row button corresponds to it. Keep it simple I say. Like with most of my reviews, I like to use a 7 year old game. At the time of its release, it was a graphic heavy game. It still looks great to this day. I just use it because it only uses 67 GB of total storage, so not much downloading. I played it on ultra with the 120hz screen. It looked great. I ran a benchmark test, and it actually performed better than one of my other laptops that has 32 GB of ram, and a RTX 4070. Now let me be clear about this, when I say it ran better, it’s not by leaps and bounds, but a small numeric value. Still, a win is a win. During my gameplay, I didn’t see any stuttering, major frame drops, and everything looked fluid with the 120hz refresh rate. During my test, I forgot that it had a 3K OLED screen. I was reminded when I started watching some video clips and my default setting was 4K with 120 fps. I do love me some OLED. The audio sounds pretty good. I was playing the game with the volume set on 32 and I was surprised by how great it sounded. I raised it to 100 and was awed by how awesome it sounded. If you’re not playing a multiplayer game that requires a headset and mic, then I would say just use the speakers. There are two things I always dread when I’m out in public and I try to game on a laptop. One is the noise and the other is the heat. I’m glad to say that even at high level gaming, the laptop never reaches heater levels. It does get warm, but nothing that creates an uncomfortable situation. You also don’t hear jet plane engines when gaming. You do hear the fans going, but nothing that will draw attention your way at a café. I actually enjoyed using the G14 as my everyday laptop. From checking emails in the morning, to doing some work, some gaming, and closing out the night with a movie, it hit all the notes. What stood out that was positive The whole experience using the laptop was pretty positive. If I had to a choose one standout feature, it would be the finish and material of the laptop itself. It looks sleek, and doesn’t scream that it’s a gaming monitor. It does have that diagonal line that lights up. You can play with options on how it behaves, or just turn it off. I turned it off, so hopefully it saves some battery life. What stood out that was negative I still don’t understand why laptop manufacturers are utilizing proprietary power adaptors for their gaming laptops. The G14 has 2 USB-C ports; both can charge the laptop, provided you have an extra high wattage USB-C charger lying around somewhere. ASUS could remove the proprietary charger on the motherboard and just include a 3rd USB-C port. (I am saying all of this without really understanding how difficult this may be. Plus, maybe USB-C charging isn’t as efficient yet). Some things I wish (What can be included in the next version and what I would take out) I hope that ASUS and other laptop manufacturers include whatever proprietary plug they want, AND a USB-C charger. This way one could be kept at home and the other more portable USB-C based charger can be taken on the go. I think adding $100-150 to the MSRP would be worth it. Who is this targeted at? This is targeted at the casual gamer and the hardcore gamer. As long as you’re not expecting top of the line features, then this is a great laptop. All in all The G14 is a great 14 inch laptop. The build quality of the laptop is superb, the OLED screen is bright and beautiful. The RTX 5060 isn’t the strongest GPU by any means, but for those who just want to game and don’t need to play games at 4K, with ultra settings, then this laptop will do the job. If you’re looking for a great everyday use laptop that also happens to be a great gaming machine, then you can’t go wrong with this laptop.

I exchanged the GTX 4060 version of this laptop for the 2025 GTX 5060 version during my return window, since the latter went on sale for $450 off. This laptop is everything I said below, but even more powerful in the graphics department. It does have a little larger wattage charger, and the GTX 5060 version (this computer) dosn't have the engergy star rating sticker like the 4060 version because it is a bit more power hungry. I always use this laptop plugged in, and mostly in hotels, so I don't mind the extra power usage. Otherwise everything from the review below still applies to this computer since they are exactly the same form factor. Original review below... I bought this laptop specifically for video editing on the road. I wanted something ultra portable, similar to a Macbook, but for PC. This laptop is beautiful! Its super thin, but has a sturdy aluminum build. I am running Davinci Resolve video editing software and it runs great. This allows me to do my editing in hotel rooms while I'm on the road. I do carry a plastic laptop pad that allows me to use it in the hotel bed without blocking any of the vents. For fun I installed project cars from my steam library to see how it would run. It runs butter smooth on high graphics settings. The OLED screen is gorgeous as well. I'm so happy with this laptop purchase.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent This laptop is fast, powerful, and has an absolutely stunning 3K OLED screen. The Ryzen 9 and RTX 4060 handle gaming and multitasking with no issues, and it’s lightweight enough to carry anywhere. Great performance, great display, and solid battery life. Highly recommend!

The Asus ROG Zephyrus 14G is an interesting laptop. Touted by Asus as a gaming laptop (Well the ROG says it all), for the unfamiliar it looks more like a business laptop. First, its only 14” so it it’s not exactly the screen size your typical gamer would look for. And for whatever reason smaller screen sizes tend to be higher priced. This laptop has a 3K OLED screen which is fine but personally I would settle for 1080p for gaming (But the processor can negate things but more on that later.) That said, everything is negated if you have an external monitor. Since I mentioned it looks like a business laptop, I’d say it really is. It is white and has a slim form factor and given its smaller screen, it looks more like it’s a competitor to the Mac Book Air. It is whitish silver and the only indication that it is a gaming laptop aside from its branding is the lighted strip on the outer panel. On the left side of the panel is a proprietary charging port, an HDMI port, a USB4/Power Delivery combo port and a headphone jack. On the other side is a micro SD card slot, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type B port snd a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C DisplayPort and Power Delivery combo port. There is no ethernet port available and you would need a port extender to add ethernet capabilities. The internals of this PC are something else. As mentioned earlier this laptop has an OLED screen which is 3K. Its speakers are decent enough that is has some depth to its sound and those tinny sound you get from laptops. It has 16GB of RAM installed. One thing though is I cannot figure out what type of RAM is installed as Windows, Speccy and Crucial.com cannot determine what type of RAM is installed. So for now 16GB should suffice for most uses. It has a 1TB SSD installed which is sufficient to install most games. It is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 730 which is blazing fast. To top that is that this laptop is also equipped with an NVIDIA RTX 5060 GPU. Now again this is touted as a gaming laptop. But aside from its form factor, there are a couple of things not highlighted namely that the CPU has an integrated NPU and the NVDIA RTX 5060 is labeled as a studio driving meaning it is not only game ready but also designed for creative purposes. As such I have installed a copy of Adobe’s Creative Suite to test out Photoshop and Lightroom as the studio driver of NVIDIA supports Adobe. By doing so, I could test out AI denoise functionality of Lightroom and Photoshop at the same time its photo processing capabilities. Needless to say it leaves my older GTX 1650 graphics enabled computer to dust. Unfortunately, I don’t have Da Vinci Resolve installed yet so I cannot comment on how this performs regarding video rendering but safe to say that it is expected that it would be fast. Also, it has CapCut pre-installed meaning to say that this is also a laptop for creatives. And lastly, while there are no specs given for battery life, Windows estimates that it can last up to nine hours with casual use. Depending on what you do, your mileage may vary. This is a high recommend!
