Many appreciate its premium build quality, impressive speakers, and lightweight, portable design. Feels like a desktop computer!

Performance When I compare this with my previous computer, galaxybook 4 pro 360, it feels more capable to handle my samsung Odessey G80 external display. I usually run it at 4k 120hz, but this laptop can run it at 4k 240hz. I set it at 4k 120hz to match the hz internal display on the G14. On my galaxybook it seems fine when using only the external display, but when i run both screens the fans start roaring to their maximum and seems to heat up the computer a lot when playing youtube and multitasking. The G14 runs much cooler and much quieter when I'm doing this same workload and i can hear the audio better. I think I need to do more testing, but when i set it to dgpu only(ultimate), it runs like a desktop with virtually no interface lag. When I set it to standard using both igpu and dgpu the os moves mostly fine. It still beats the galaxybook when under high load. Convenience I wanted a 14 inch laptop with desktop power i could take with me to places. I thought i would take my gb pro 16 inch with me but i don't. I appreciate the smaller form factor and the slightly lighter weight. Battery The battery i am not so thrilled about since i have to turn off the dgpu to get good estimates like 4 to 6 hrs. If i leave it on it usually looks like 2 to 3 hrs. I run the screen at 120hz. This is all under light use, just internet, youtube, and documents. I have to do more tweaking, but i primarly got it because my inegrated gpu laptop with low profile cooling vents felt inadequate for using at my desk most of the time. The keyboard feels better than the gb pro and has good travel. I do wish it had a touchscreen even though i didnt use it much on the gb pro, but given the extra performance, i am willing to sacrifice it.

It just does everything. Being a gaming laptop, the specifications on board are overkill for my work use even on the Eco settings, and it keeps up with all of the games I enjoy on max settings for most and high for the rest. The form factor and weight lets me lug it around wherever I need to, while the sleek look is an advantage over other gaming laptops when taken to a professional setting. Absolute steal for the price after the $400 discount.

This laptop has exceeded my expectations. The portability combined with performance is amazing. Temps are pretty good as well. Battery life has also been great paired with the oled screen.

Amazing laptop, the OLED is the reason to buy it, when in performance mode it performs very close to a desktop 4060 so you don’t get the feeling you’re getting a compromised laptop experience. I mostly used it docked to a monitor when gaming and performance was excellent at 1440p. Native 1800p is a little much for the 4060 in more intensive games but you can get by. Overall amazing laptop for gaming and productivity, only complaint is the relatively lackluster battery life if you don’t tweak. Without tweaking in eco mode you’ll get around 5 hours , which is fine but for $1300 I was expecting better, but if you do tweak it, by undervolting you can get closer to 7.

I like to save money where I can, this is one of those quality items I’m willing to throw cash at. I’ve had several laptops. This is by far the best. The OLED screen is beautiful. The build quality is great as it does not flex. The sound quality is far superior than anything I’ve ever heard out of a laptop. The thing performs like a little beast on or off battery without sacrificing performance. The battery lasts me about two hours running Ready or not and Fortnite at max settings. Expensive but in this case you get what you pay for.

I recently got my hands on the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, and I’m genuinely impressed. The 14” OLED 3K display is a game-changer—vivid colors and smooth visuals at 120Hz make everything from gaming to watching movies feel incredibly immersive. The AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM mean this laptop breezes through demanding tasks and multitasking without breaking a sweat. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 pushes performance to the next level, handling the latest games with ease and delivering gorgeous graphics. With a spacious 1TB SSD, there’s plenty of room for all my files and games, and the sleek platinum white finish adds a touch of elegance. Whether I’m diving into a new game or working on a creative project, the Zephyrus G14 has quickly become my go-to laptop. It’s powerful, stylish, and absolutely worth every penny.

Been awhile since I've had to use anything but a work laptop but found myself in the market this year. Spent a ton of time looking at various manufacturers and options, read a lot of reviews and articles, and visited a number of stores to get a physical feel for them. I have a desktop but will be traveling extensively and my gaming is oriented toward RPG and Strategy as opposed to graphic intensive shooters (although still important). I tried using a Steam deck with my current work laptop but the screen is just too small and it's a bit too big for me to easily pack (vs an iPad for example). A 16"+ screen laptop would be something I'd consider if I wanted to replace even my desktop, but was otherwise to big to use on planes and are heavy. So eventually locked in on a 14" screen, under 5 lbs, and less than 1" thick with good graphics and specs and a reasonable price. The 14" Zephyrus hit the sweet spot almost perfectly. It is sleek, lightweight, backed by a reputable brand, excellent components, got it for a great price over black friday ($400 off), and just looks great. Wasn't even aware of this line before I started my research and couldn't be happier. For some reason I thought it had two M.2 slots but it only has one. This mildly complicated my upgrade to a 4TB SSD but it went fine with plenty of guides online. Note there are 2 bottom screws under rubber stubs and you really need the guitar pick or something similar to separate the case easily. My other mild concern is that the 16GB of memory is not upgradeable but will likely be ready to replace the whole laptop in a few years anyway if it becomes a problem. Bloatware is mild compared to some other manufacturers but haven't gone through the effort of deleting/disabling a bunch of stuff until I get a feel for how it's running first. Again, plenty of guides and notes online on recommendations. Given I'm using this as a personal computer while traveling, security and access will be a concern so will be installing some additional software like VPNs. Overall I haven't put the system through its paces yet but expect to get a lot of use from it over the next couple of years. Visually the unit is a work of art. The Platinum (silver) shell stands out without being garish and I could easily use this at a work meeting. It fits on the food tray on planes and the screen is crisp and easy on the eyes. Power includes a USB C option so can extend use via a compatible external battery if AC isn't available. The laptop runs quiet on top of everything else. Highly recommended if it fits your needs and probably one of the best 14" laptops available out in the market.

Screen resolution is great along with the FPS, sleek design and easy to carry. One thing is that it overheats sometimes so you might need a external cooler. The battery lasts up to 3-4 hrs when editing/ watching and with gaming it lasts 1-2 hrs.

A truly amazing machine! If you're looking for a laptop that can do a little bit of everything, this is the one. This laptop is super power efficient and lasts me all day while I'm going between classes, and still have some battery to run some games. One complaint I have though, I think the base model should have more than 16 GB of RAM since applications are moving toward being more RAM heavy. Tips if you decide to buy this laptop: Get G-Helper, it improves the default ASUS software and extends the battery life by a noticeable amount and adds options not found in the default software.

Easily the best this laptop line has ever been. I've had a G14 since 2020, and I've always been a big fan, despite some consistent quality control issues. This is on another level. I'm not personally as big of a fan of the silver color, but this thing feels like a macbook in terms of build quality. And god, the OLED screen. The display is probably the single best display I own, and that's a very high bar.

Love this laptop, it does heat up quite a bit but I'll be ordering a laptop fan for that. I specifically looked for one strong enough to do both digital art on as well as gaming while not being that heavy for easy transport. It's a great investment if you don't want to buy a whole computer while having the strength to operate almost like one.

The laptop has an elegant design, matching its beautiful 'Moonlight' name. However, it tends to heat up quickly and experiences memory issues, especially when using WSL with virtual machines. Generally, it's suitable for gaming and routine office tasks, but its battery life is disappointing—it drains rapidly and doesn't last long. The biggest drawback seems to be either battery performance or hidden background processes consuming resources.

Very lightweight, very thin, and excellent gaming FPS for the price. You really can't game on battery for long, it's best used for gaming when plugged in. The MyAsus software allows you to limit battery charging for longer life, which I absolutely love. It puts out a lot of heat, but the exhaust is at the top of the keyboard, at the bottom of the monitor. This keeps it away from you hands. This screen is very bright. I've had 3 prior G14s, all have been good. Wait until this goes on sale and the value will be better.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is a killer gaming laptop that’s lightweight but still packs a punch. The 14-inch screen looks sharp and smooth, making games and content pop. The speakers are surprisingly solid for a laptop, with clear sound and some decent bass. Build quality is top-notch—it feels premium, sturdy, and well put together. Overall, it’s a great pick if you want a powerful machine without lugging around a bulky gaming laptop.

The G14 Series Continues To Deliver

I've had various models of G14/G16 laptops for a while now, regularly updating them every few years. There are a few clear points where ASUS gets things right - This model has a good selection of parts, and the display looks wonderful, and additionally, the SSD/RAM are quite easy to replace. I am a bit sad they stopped doing the animatrix. It was really cringe but so much more fun than the slash lighting is. While Armory Crate can be a bit frustrating, for those willing to try something else, GHelper is overall a lot more lightweight while still maintaining almost all of the features. The main concern with ANY ASUS product is the warranty. They are notoriously bad about respecting warranties. This may be one benefit of getting it from best buy in particular, since their warranty is separate! However, that will up the cost noticeably, so take it into consideration. There are some minor annoyances with the dGPU not activating on certain games - This is easily fixed by forcing it in Nvidia Control panel, and I've had this issue with other laptops as well, so I don't usually consider it as a specific to the product. However, in addition to this, the fans are very quiet in most environments and aren't set to ramp until it's pretty hot, so you should put it on a higher preset while you're doing anything heavy. I should note that all of this is contingent upon the deal I got it at - About 1300 after tax. I think the pricing is a bit inflated for the specs if you buy it at full price, and so I would wait to see if you can find a deal.
