I’ve been using the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 for almost a year now, and I’m really happy with it overall. Even though I have the base model, performance has been solid. I use it for school, programming, and gaming sessions that last 4 to 6 hours without any issues. With the RTX 4060, I consistently get around 70 FPS in games like Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, and GTA V. It handles multitasking smoothly, and I haven’t run into any major problems. One thing to keep in mind is the soldered RAM. It would’ve been great to have the option to upgrade, but the 16GB has been more than enough for my needs, even with multiple apps running at once. Battery life has decreased a bit over time. I used to get about 6–7 hours in Silent Mode, but now it’s more like 5–6 with light use. I think the heat the laptop generates might be affecting battery health. Another thing worth noting. If you’re someone who types a lot, you might want to use a keyboard cover. Over time, the key labels can start to fade a bit. On the bright side, one of my favorite things about this laptop is the 3K OLED display. It looks absolutely stunning. The design is also sleek and slim, especially for a gaming laptop. All things considered, these small issues are manageable for me, and I still feel like I made an excellent purchase.

to preface, I've had it for a day now but I'll update later down but just wanted to give a review when opening it. I saw some reviews saying they had a heat issue when opening it however, mine did heat up opening but i think that was due to all the updates it was under. now it's at a constant 40 degrees celcius with no fans (i keep it on windows mode when im not playong games). i haven't played any games on it just yet but will update when i do and how it performs. the only issues i have are with windows 11 not the laptop (the task bar isn't auto hiding). overall, so far so good. the sound is amazing and the screen is amazing as well. the screen has a feature (i forgot what it's called but its to do with frames i think) that u can't use at low brightness level (50% brightness and under) which is kind of sad because my eyes are really sensitive but it shouldn't impact games since those are normally played at a higher brightness level overall, i dont think its an issue, just mentioning it. i would definitely get a laptop stand for it because it does heat up when flat on my desk.

Best value for a powerful yet portable laptop

I did over two months of extensive research before buying this laptop. The G14 for me blew its competitors out of the water when it came to build quality, battery lover, powerhouse productivity, and performance in such a compact passage. I wasn't looking for a complete desktop replacement, but something that was powerful enough to play AAA titles on the go yet could still be used for working at a coffee shop. There is nothing else in the market that comes close to the quality of the G14 at this price range. Highly recommend.

Great "Mac-like" Laptop for College Students

I bought this laptop because I wanted something that I could take to college and use for light work, and also be able to run high performing tasks when I needed to. This laptop performed beyond my expectations. From the beautiful OLED screen, to the light and slim formfactor, this laptop checked every box for what I was looking for. My sister has a 2024 Mac Air. When holding both laptops, the difference in weight and size was very small. I also liked the sleek, more toned down look of this version, compared to the previous years of the G14. This version moves from the more high-tech gaming look, to a more professional look. I really appreciate ASUS choosing to do this as I feel more comfortable taking this to school. However, one issue that I have with this laptop is the trackpad. I hope that in the future ASUS will move away from the traditional trackpad, to a more "Mac-like" trackpad. In all, if you're looking for something VERY similar to the Mac Air in terms of shape, weight, and size, yet performs AMAZINGLY on high-performing tasks, I really recommend picking up one of these.

This laptop looks beautiful, travels great, and does its job so long as you don't push it to far. What i mean is just know what you're buying. Its meant for some high quality gameplay but not Ultra quality limit testing benchmarks. It will emulate anything you need. It can run a AAA title, and you will immerse in the OLED screen regardless of it being 14 or 16 inches. But this thing gets hot! It doesnt have the ability to really cool itself to play games under 90C. Limit your fps to 120 , G Helper your fan curves, and be intuitive about it. Know what youre buying and the limitations and you will not be disappointed!

I've been using my 10th ASUS laptop for a couple months now. I have to say that it provides great value for the price! It runs every game I've tried at 60 fps minimum, without any lagging or issues. That said, there is an issue trying to use the touchpad for moving the camera while gaming. This one frequently hangs up or just fails to function properly. Replacing that input with a mouse resolved the issue. Outside of gaming, I've had no problems with the touchpad, so I'm not sure exactly where the issue is. Just keep in mind that you'll want a mouse to play Halo, Destiny 2, Monster Hunter Wilds or whatever your favorite series is. If you're into folding@home or bitcoin farming, the graphics card will rip out packets in short order. As for work activities, every app has worked quickly and flawlessly. This is just a great lightweight laptop with superior processing and graphics.

Powerful small laptop. I have the 4060 version, no issues when playing Ready or Not on the best graphics settings (although the laptop does get pretty hot after gaming...) The OLED display is beautiful, speakers are loud and clear, keyboard feels responsive and RGB lights allow for customization.

Have had it for a few weeks now, and I must say that it's easily one of the beat laptops I've had. Great display, not heavy, the colors are vibrant, but it can heat up. I'm a casual game, so this doesn't break it for me - you can always get a cooling or normal stand and change from Armoury Crate (AC) to GHelper. You can also turn off the slash lighting in AC. Just make sure you fully upgrade everything in Windows and AC after turning your laptop on for the 1st time. :)

Beautiful machine. Super light & compact. The OLED display is like nothing I've seen. But it gets really hot really fast when I'm not even doing much. Considering trading for a heftier version which won't be as compact but at least it won't overheat

I've had this laptop for 4 months now. Honestly this laptop is everything I could of asked for and i wouldn't trade it for any other. For context, I am an engineering major in college and looked wanted a lightweight windows laptop(similar to a macbook), that was powerful enough to do my everyday tasks and occasionally play light games without ANY problems. However if you are looking for a laptop strictly for intensive gaming, i wouldn't recommend (the RTX 2060 has its cons and you will run into heating issues), but if you in situation similar to me you wont regret it. It has really fast processing speeds I've never encountered crazy lag. Also the resolution is stunning sometimes you just cant stop looking at it. The battery life is actually pretty good as well, FOR A LAPTOP, so it wont be an issue. And it looks sleek. However, I sometimes have internet connection issues while I'm trying to connect to a stable Wi-Fi, which is strange but it isn't to often.

I love this computer. The screen, keyboard, speakers, and overall build quality are amazing. With WiFi 6, I can stream all my favorite games. Playing them locally in the machine, it definitely gets HOT, and for some reason, a lot of air vents out at the bottom of the display. Hopefully that doesn’t case issues down the road.

Featuring AMD Ryzen processors and NVIDIA RTX graphics, it delivers excellent performance for productivity while being capable of playing AAA classics at moderate settings with smooth gameplay. Couldn't be happier with this laptop (upgraded from a Dell XPS 13 - 2017 that was basically dead the last 2-3 years). I got this as a replacement that will hopefully last me another 5+ years. Pros: - Quiet fans when working - Quiet mechanical keyboard. Satisfying clicks but not as loud as a Corsair mechanical keyboard for example. + the light up keyboard is cool - Decent battery life. My classes are 3.5 hours. This easily lasts a full class and doesnt break below 70ish%. I am sure if you push this thing, youd probably get 6+ hrs with HEAVY use. - Asus upgrades are easy. Drivers upgrades are quick and easy. - Does not get hot. Adjustable setting with G Helper or AsusCrate but I havent gotten this to feel hot on my lap when working with it. - Camera has been great for conference calls/ classes - Zero issues so far Cons: - Cant upgrade the RAM. I do not feel that I absolutely NEED to as this is my school computer. I can have lectures playing in the background while using Microsoft word and that is all I really need. So unsure if this is a "Con" as I do not know if I have pushed this to need more RAM. I only gave the Battery a 4* when compared to say a Macbook because their processors are designed for longevity but I would give this a 4.5 star as is. Obviously doesn't hit the LONGEST performance but as this little powerhouse sits, its battery life is phenomenal. Going on 4/5 months now, have zero battery degradation issues.

One of the best windows laptop out there, here are some things that people might be doubtful about and additionally some issues that the reviewers don't highlight. 1. There is screen wobble but it's completely manageable, you won't really notice it when you're using the laptop on a flat surface. Screen reflections are also nicely managed by the anti reflective coating. Whenever you're opening the screen, there is this creaking sound which might feel like an issue with the laptop but is universal for the 24 model. 2. Fan noise is pretty good! Laptop is completely silent during light tasks(always), especially if you tweak GHelper. It only gets a bit loud at Turbo. Balanced is pretty quiet and gives decent performance. Temps are also okay. 3. Battery backup is amazing! *If you turn off the dedicated GPU*. Managed to get 14+ hours while watching content. 4. The screen is really grainy and it'll be visible whenever you have any grey colour content on. It won't be noticeable at other colours but this isn't universal with OLED screens but exists in G14. Flickering is minimal and visible at very low brightness. Brightness of the screen is pretty decent.

Bought mine as an excellent open box and so far it's great! Without charging it lasts around 3 to 4 hours of light use; gotta say, it doesn't last as long without charging as my 2021 G14, but I kinda knew it would be like that, with an oled screen.

I was on the fence about getting another gaming laptop after years ago spending around the same price for an alienware m15. But after seeing it at my local best buy, seeing the OLED screen and the sound quality.. I knew I had to have it. I had a macbook pro years ago and I loved that laptop - the sound quality, screen quality and the sleek thin design. The only downside is playing games was not an option on the macbook without severely low fps. Now this laptop has exactly what my macbook pro had but can play every game I throw at it. Granted im not playing high end games like I do on my desktop such as star citizen. But playing world of warcraft, warhammer, and now throne and liberty that was just released has been a breeze. First thing I did was uninstall bloatware and get ghelper and now its perfect. Unless you turn on the rgb lights or the slash you really cant tell its a gaming laptop. Everyone ive shown it to is blown away by the OLED and sound quality.

The body of this laptop is rigid and safe. The aluminum build and the feel of the keyboard make it feel very well built. I feel comfortable hauling it around for school while also being light and efficient. It has so far been able to handle anything I’ve thrown at it like solid works, games, fusion 360. Definitely recommend for other students like me.
