It's a good laptop for gaming, nevertheless sometiems it gets really hot, but to my honest i solved that editing somethings of the configuration

Of course this was about 4 days after I got it so I had already started doing some work on it that was lost forever (geek squad said they would charge hundreds to TRY to get it back). I wouldn't recommend getting it unless you have an external hard drive and really want a high powered laptop.

The design is sleek, it's lightweight, and the OLED display is gorgeous, but I must have gotten a dud. Display keeps going black out of nowhere, the trackpad dies randomly, and the entire laptop will restart itself randomly and constantly. There was one stretch where I heard the laptop restart over 10 times with the lid closed and in sleep mode (you could hear the ASUS ROG startup sound) as it was plugged in on my nightstand. If this is how the laptop is new out of the box, I don't even want to imagine what long term reliability will be like.

Good computer but could be way better for price

Only complaints are that it heats up very quickly (we’re talking burning heat) and the battery life if not plugged in constantly is not good and won’t last you a whole day.

We do understand your concern about thermal issues and the battery discharging faster. It is normal for laptops, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions to have efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, ensure no resource-hungry processes, service and applications are running in the background, this will spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decrease or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down. The battery will drain faster than normal while gaming, we recommend to connect the charger while gaming. Additionally, we recommend to set your performance mode to power-saving if not playing games or running resource-hungry applications to prolong the battery life. The new metal chassis does feel like a step up from the previous plastic version. It feels far more premium. And if its sacrificed raw power, I haven't noticed. Display is lovely.
