Many appreciate its premium build quality, impressive speakers, and lightweight, portable design. Great Product
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great product. It is excellent for gaming on the go. The fan is loud, but that should be no surprise considering the power hungry CPU and GPU. The battery life is good when not playing games, but it pretty much needs power for the performance mode. The speakers are also excellent.

All the benifts of a gaming laptop no downsides
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is the complete package. Build quality that is a step above other windows laptops, Macbook quality speakers, good battery life, and of course great performance. The only downside is this model only has 16gb of ram that isn't upgradable. There are other models of this laptop that have more but I would REALLY recommend going for an open box version of this model. 16gb is still usable but you can get one of these for sub $1300 which at that price this laptop blows away all the competition.

ASUS nailed it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t think, just buy. I have no idea how this laptop exists but here we are, it’s nearly perfect. It’s a beast of a gaming laptop and also just a great laptop in general. How is it so light and thin for what it can do!? The real amazing part is how silent and cool it stays when doing normal tasks. The fans almost never kick on. The OLED screen of course is the star of the show and once you see it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it, especially in competitive gaming. The higher contrast, colors that pop, and extremely smooth motion makes it effortless to move your mouse exactly where you want it. Another thing that does not seem real is the speakers in this thing. They are actually more impressive than the 16” version because the sound is nearly identical and it’s coming out of this tiny chassis. Both sound amazing though. It’s taken Asus 4 years to perfect the G14 but this is very near perfection. I’ve tried every iteration of the G14 and I can’t say enough good things about this new one. I would not buy any other laptop in 2024.

One of the best
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the display (really wonderful colors), size is perfect for me, the keyboard is elegant, the design is nice, speakers are awesome, BUT I'd like to have 32GB RAM, and of course sadly battery life is not enought :( But it's a great product. I highly recommend if you find this in discount.

Premium Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this open box in good condition for $950 without tax. It came with the laptop and charger block but no cord to connect to the outlet. The computer was also logged into the previous owners Microsoft account but that was easily fixed via factory reset. Battery health was already degraded to around 90% when I checked the max capacity vs current capacity. Battery life is around 10 hours on 70% brightness and with energy saver + eco mode on. Build quality is premium with an entire aluminum chassis that is comparable to Apple quality. The OLED screen was super bright and clear. I had to actually lower the max brightness in ArmoryCrate to save my eyes. There is an anti-glare coating but the screen is still glossy. The keyboard was similar or even better than a MacBook Air keyboard. During regular use, the fan noise is silent and during gaming the fan noise is about the same as my full size RTX 3070 in my desktop. Overall, I would recommend this laptop but only if it’s on a sale which BestBuy commonly has for this product in the past.

Great Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty compact laptop, plays my games rather well. Addressing the heating issues people are having, yes it gets hot. The hottest part is the top of the keyboard, where the vent is at. I don’t think people realize there’s a giant heatsink right there, and it’s supposed to get hot. Like any laptop, putting it on your lap will just exacerbate the problem. Temps are well within spec so I’m not terribly worried. I did end up swapping to a 4tb nvme ssd and a clean install of windows right out of the box. I do wish it came with more ram though; I literally only use it to play games and watch videos and my ram usage is always on the high side when sitting idle. The oled screen decidedly average for me. The lcd screen on my old hp spectre from 2020 feels like it has better colors. Fan noise is typical for a gaming laptop.

Uncomfortably high temperatures; RAM limited
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model looks great, performs great, and has one of the best displays and speakers I have ever seen/heard. BUT when under load the fans are loud, and the temperatures are the highest I have experienced on any laptop, EVER. Despite having 3 fans, the chassis is too small to properly dissipate the TGP which ASUS is pushing to the CPU and GPU. The part of the keyboard deck near the volume control buttons becomes almost SCALDING to the touch when under load. Furthermore, since the heat is expelled through the vent, it causes heat expansion on the hinges. When under extended use, the hinges creak until the temperature is reduced. This brings durability of the product under question. The hinge is definitely not as sturdy when compared to competitors, like the Apple Macbook Pro 14. RAM on this model is pretty limited to 16 GB. For a high performance laptop I recommend at least 32 GB. The power brick is huge and it's pretty comical next to the small laptop. But thankfully it can be charged through USB -C when on the go.

Excellence in Gaming (with a minor Caveat)!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellence in Gaming (with a minor Caveat)!!! The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is a gaming laptop that offers a compelling mix of features for gamers and power users alike. The ROG Zephyrus G14 is a compelling option for gamers who value portability without sacrificing performance. This laptop is a portable powerhouse with a little caveat. Configuration: DISPLAY: 14in OLED WQXGA Display VRAM: 8GB CPU: AMD R9-8945HS STORAGE: 1TB PCIE G4 SSD RAM: LPDDR5 16GB (ON BOARD) WLAN: WIFI6E USB: USB3.2 X 2, USB 3.2, USB 4.0 BATTERY: 4 CELL 73WH DESIGN AND PORTABILITY: The Zephyrus G14 is a winner. Weighing in at just over 3 pounds and boasting a slim profile, the G14 is a dream come true for gamers on the go. Whether you're jetting off to a LAN party or lounging on the couch, this laptop goes where you go without sacrificing performance. The redesigned aluminum chassis feels incredibly sleek, premium and durable to boot. The Platinum White colorway offers a sophisticated look, while the “Slash” adds a bit of that gamer/personal touch to the finish. The Slash lighting can be adjusted to your liking in the Asus Armory or can be turned off completely. One thing I want to mention is that I am so glad that Asus did away with the vents that were directed directly at the display in the previous model. Even though the venting never caused any display issues, it was something that always bothered me. DISPLAY: The G14 truly shines in this category. Its 14" OLED 3K 120Hz display is nothing short of spectacular. The ROG Nebula OLED display offers deep blacks, vibrant colors, and a silky-smooth 120Hz refresh rate delivers an immersive gaming experience that's perfect for enjoying your favorite visuals while offering an immersive gaming experience with vibrant colors and fluid motion. You have to see it to believe it, the display is truly amazing. PROCESSOR: The heart of this machine, the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor with 16GB LPDDR5X memory coupled with the GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card ensures top-notch performance across all tasks. Whether you’re gaming at high settings, streaming your favorite shows, multitasking or running demanding applications, this laptop delivers consistently smooth performance. The Ryzen 9 8945HS and RTX 4060 combo effortlessly handle even the latest AAA titles at high settings. Titles Tested: Red Dead Redemption 2 Horizon Forbidden West God of War Ragnarok COD: Modern Warfare III PORTS: The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 offers a variety of ports to cater to your connectivity needs: • HDMI 2.1 port: For connecting to an external display • Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports: For connecting USB devices • USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port that supports DisplayPort • Type C USB 4 support DisplayPort that also supports power delivery • 3.5mm headphone jack: For audio devices • MicroSD card reader: For reading data from microSD cards • Propriety Charging Port STORAGE: This laptop offers a storage capacity of up to 1TB. While this is generally sufficient for most users, the substantial storage demands of certain AAA Titles may leave some desiring additional space. MEMORY: This is where this laptop takes a minor step back. Unlike traditional DDR4 RAM, the LPDDR5X is soldered onto the motherboard. This means you can't simply add more RAM later if your needs evolve. For casual gamers or those who prioritize portability, 16GB is perfectly adequate. If you are willing a dish about a bit more, this laptop is also available in the 32GB + RTX 4070 configuration. SOUND: This is another area of significant improvement on this machine. The G14 offers a punchy audio experience with its 6 speakers and a significant larger woofer. The laptop offers virtual 5.1.2 channel surround sound powered by Dolby Atmos. The speakers can easily fill a medium sized room with gaming audio or your favorite tunes. Overall, the ROG Zephyrus G14 is a fantastic choice for any gamer seeking a powerful and extremely portable machine. Even with the minor memory issue the laptop offers a fantastic blend of power, performance, and portability, making it a great choice in the gaming laptop market. Whether you’re a gamer, a power user, or someone who needs a reliable, high-performance laptop, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is a choice you won’t regret. This has become my new everyday on the go productivity and gaming device.

Overall a great laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The G 14 is an amazing gaming laptop, with a light form factor that you can take anywhere. The build quality seems premium and sturdy. Might just be nitpicking but due to the thin oled screen it does feel like you should be extra careful with it. The screen is great and gets plenty bright for most use cases. The unplugged battery life is pretty good as well though i do wish it lasted a little bit longer doing non demanding task like watching YouTube and the like. I did get an open box version and believe i got it for a great price , but i wouldn't purchase at the regular retail price definitely try to get it on sale if you can.

A Powerful Performer that came with no box.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently acquired the ROG G14, and I must say, it's been an absolute powerhouse. This laptop truly delivers on its promise of excellent performance, handling everything I've thrown at it with impressive ease. Whether it's demanding games, intensive creative tasks, or everyday multitasking, the G14 consistently performs great, offering a smooth and responsive experience. Its compact form factor combined with its robust capabilities makes it a fantastic choice for users who need portability without compromising on power. The only significant hiccup in my experience wasn't with the laptop itself, but with the purchasing process from Best Buy. I was informed that the unit was an "open box" item, which I was fine with, expecting it to come in its original (albeit opened) packaging. However, upon collection, I was surprised to find that the laptop was handed to me without any box at all. While the device itself appears to be in perfect working order and functions flawlessly, the lack of original packaging for an "open box" item was certainly unexpected and a bit unusual. It didn't affect the laptop's performance, but it was a minor detail that stood out. Despite the packaging anomaly, the ROG G14 itself is a stellar machine that I highly recommend for its exceptional performance.

Fantastic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for a steal at $700 open box but it ended up being defective. But while i had it, it was the best. Incredibly light but powerful enough to game, run Adobe products, and surf the web. Not only that but with G-Helper, the battery life as fantastic. If you see a good sale, get it!

Great combination of portability and power
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive been using this laptop for around a month and its able to play everything at high settings at a relatively high frame rate. The OLED screen and build quality are excellent and its very portable, its become my new daily laptop over my 14in MBP. For this spec id recommend waiting for a sale though, 16gb of ram for gaming is fine but for multitasking youd want more and its non upgradeable.

Take My Money!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like to save money where I can, this is one of those quality items I’m willing to throw cash at. I’ve had several laptops. This is by far the best. The OLED screen is beautiful. The build quality is great as it does not flex. The sound quality is far superior than anything I’ve ever heard out of a laptop. The thing performs like a little beast on or off battery without sacrificing performance. The battery lasts me about two hours running Ready or not and Fortnite at max settings. Expensive but in this case you get what you pay for.

Excellent Performance, Minor Lighting Issue
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2024) is an absolute powerhouse in a sleek and portable package. With the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS, RTX 4060, and that stunning 14" 3K 120Hz OLED display, this machine delivers outstanding performance across gaming, creative work, and multitasking. The OLED panel is truly a standout—deep blacks, vibrant colors, and buttery-smooth motion at 120Hz. Whether gaming or editing, the visuals are next level. The laptop stays impressively quiet under load, and the thermal management is solid for a device this thin. Build quality feels premium, and the all-white finish looks sharp and professional without screaming "gamer." The keyboard is responsive, and the touchpad is smooth and accurate. That said, I’ve noticed a flickering issue with the RGB lighting effects on the keyboard or rear AniMe Matrix display (depending on your config). It’s not constant, but enough to be a distraction in dim environments. Hopefully, ASUS can address this with a firmware update. Overall, this is a top-tier gaming laptop that balances power, portability, and design beautifully. If you’re okay with a small lighting quirk—or willing to disable the effects—it’s an excellent choice for gamers and power users alike.

Awesome Macbook like gaming machine.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent laptop. Came from years as a mac user, but always disappointed at not being able to game with a lot of titles. This is a macbook pro like experience with the ability to game on the side with very few limitations. The fit and finish is gorgeous. Very light. Screen is gorgeous and nice and bright. Battery life is great for a windows laptop if you adjust the settings. The speakers sound as good as a 14 inch Macbook pro. Love the trackpad. Only drawback is they soldered the ram with 16gb so you can't upgrade it. I really would prefer 32gb vs 16gb but Best Buy never has the higher end model in stock so I got the 16gb. I mostly do productivity type work and some gaming so I don't really see it as an issue, but it can be a problem for some.

Great machine for the right user
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked this machine. The screen is exceptional, the performance is solid, the fan noise is tolerable and the temperatures are acceptable. The keyboard was also surprisingly comfortable and the speakers are great. I just realized it's not the right machine for me. First, the battery, while good, is not up to snuff for what I need as an every day carry. Also, if I used this machine as a desktop replacement and did all my gaming on it, this rises concerns as to the durability of the parts, which are not easily replaced. For now I have opted to keep my current ultrabook and invest in a small form factor desktop computer which I can easily service and upgrade myself.

Versatile + Lightweight and powerful
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great for running several games on max to near-max settings and is extremely portable and lightweight. Although games run very well you must use it plugged in and with some kind of cooling when running games because the laptop does become extremely hot/dies quickly. Best way is to hook up to a monitor and leave the laptop alone on a cooling pad…while plugged in. For the price I think it’s a good gaming laptop that’s as small as they get, good for everything. The display is gorgeous
