Solid laptop, works like a charm and performs better than I thought. The only issue I see is that it gets hot pretty fast which is standard for gaming laptops.

It's a great laptop. Let's start with the positives: The good: 1. It's on sale. You're getting quite a premium package given it's aluminum casing, 4070 gpu, and good processor. The price is $1070 at this time. 2. *****I wanted to note that the specifications listed are incorrect as far as screen resolution goes. This is a 1920x1200 display, not a 1920x1080 display as listed. BestBuy if you're reading, please fix. That makes this a WUXGA, not a FHD. You won't notice the difference between this screen and a QHD unless you're doing intensive work like intricate graphic design. You'll have to squint to see the pixel grid. It reaches pretty good brightness as well and the color accuracy is okay. 3. For its slender form factor, airflow and temps seem really good! Fan noise continues to get better as every iteration of ROG products go by. The fan noise is definitely present but not overbearing. 4. Form factor itself. For a gaming laptop its on the lighter side (not the lightest ever). Chassis seems to be made out of brushed aluminum so thats a plus. It's slim. 5. Holds a good battery. Non-gaming, with keyboard and screen at full brightness, doing things like office work and internet browsing, I got over 12 hours of charge. That includes standby time. The amount of ports. 2 USB 3, 2 USB C, HDMI, headphone jack, You get even get the good ole ethernet port and a micro sd slot. The bad: Speakers, of course, are trash. Absolutely no bass. They could've implemented better ones, but price has to be cut somewhere right Webcam barely makes the cut. It's okay, not bad. One of the RAM sticks is soldered to the motherboard. This laptop can't register more than 48gb of RAM. Keys are quite large to fill space. I have big hands and these seem to be a bit too stretched out. Would've loved a normal sized keyboard with a number pad to the right. I get it though, this is their answer to a macbook that can game. It goes with the simple, sleek design I guess. Note that also the keys aren't individually backlit so you lose a out a lot on customizability there.

Excellent gaming laptop. The RTX 4070 8 gb GPU runs every game I have played very smooth and at very high settings and the graphics are amazing. Even the newer games that have come out recently. The fan is a little on the loud side while gaming but I play with a headset so don’t really notice. The RGB lighted keyboard can be customized and looks really cool. System RAM is 16gb but expandable to 32gb. Overall a very good laptop for gaming.

I've had this for almost 3 months now and it works amazingly. The only problem I had was the amount of ram and storage space, but both are upgradable so nothing to really worry about. It's also refreshing to play games at a higher frame rate and graphical quality than a console. 10/10

This is a great laptop for getting work done and playing games. The screen is 1080p but has a high refresh rate and decent colors. Its bright and at 100% scaling in Windows, really looks nice and is comfortable to use for a days work. It's a large, powerful laptop so its not going to win battery life awards. However if you turn it to silent mode in the asus app and enable battery saver, it can put in a shift getting some work done away from a power plug. The chassis is solid and the keyboard is nice and responsive. The keys pop back up nicely and have a decent action to them. You do give up having a numpad which would be nice on a laptop this size for excel workers but you get better speakers as the tradeoff so not bad. I was able to get this on sale for just under $1000 and at that value, this was a no brainer buy. With all the Intel and AMD drama for what's fastest, this 13th gen i7 and RTX4070 blast through anything you want to do at 1080p resolution. The laptop does have one slot for upgrading memory. I put in a 32gb stick of ddr5 and a nice WD black SSD. Im very happy with the upgrades and price paid for this laptop. To summarize: Good solid laptop with great fast refresh rate 1080p screen. Great power at a great price with good build quality. Not a lot of cons to be honest using it for its purpose. I dont think you can get more power new for the money anywhere.

    A Workhorse that upgradable

The Laptop is a solid price for gaming, Adobe editing between Photoshop and Lightroom and can even dish out solid AI work with Olama. I was happy to obtain this device because I was able to upgrade the RAM from single 16gb to duel 48gb RAM and added additional 2TB SSD drive making this a solid all around Laptop. The Graphic Card is a workhorse, from intenst gaming like Marvel Rivals to cozy lade back games like World of Warcraft Classic, you're defently getting your month worth. Asuse built in software isn't bad but I removed the bloatwear and favored for G-Support which provides a much better UI in support of your device from Fans, switching the graphic card mode and a whole window of software and Bio-ware updates. There has been a few negatives I've encountered which sometime the Keyboard will not respond, or the graphic driver will not pick up the additional monitor, however, those can be fixed with a restart and you're back to gaming and those errors are far in few between. Overall, I think this is a well balance laptop for any begining or mid-range gamer/performance worker.

I mainly use the laptop for playing PUBG. The machine handles very well, even on ultra settings. The only drawback are the cooling fans. They are extremely loud. Headphones are a must. I ended up adding an external monitor with long cabling so I can place the laptop in a closet. Otherwise, when using voice chat everyone asks if I am in a wind tunnel.

I bought this laptop to be able to play some heavier games and also run some rendering programs. So for it has not disapointed at all. It is still a laptop so to run games it needs to be plugged in but for normal daily tasks you can use unplugged. For someone needing a laptop to enjoy some good games but on a budget this is perfect! I dont have room for a computer setup currently so htis laptop is the perfect fill for the time.

Imo its a really good laptop even though ive returned it for a book 4 pro. It has a great display and its very powerful however its heavy and bulky and the fans are really loud. If those are not an issue for you like it was for me then you should definitely get it IF its on sale

The laptop functions very well for my ON-THE-GO gaming needs when visiting my partner or traveling for work. It holds games such as BG3 or a ton of smaller games. The battery life is impressive. I would recommend this laptop.

Got it on sale for $1200 and only had it for a few weeks but has been great. The size and portability l, coupled with a 4070 is why we bought this and it hasn’t disappointed. I’m not a huge gamer but do like to play them when I travel and it has run destiny 2, helldivers 2, and the first descendant without issue. I did purchase a 1TB SSD to increase the storage which was my only complaint. Would have paid $50 more to start with a 1TB SSD

I got this thing when I saw it was on sale, and snagged an excellent open box. Was considering one of the newer gaming consoles to play the newest titles, but waited for a sale so I could get a nice 4070 laptop. Computer is in great condition, and very satisfied with the build quality. Was initially concerned about the 1080p IPS display, coming from my 16 in Macbook pro which is my main computer, but the screen looks great and the speakers are pretty good too! I was mainly gaming on my Legion Go, and there were games that just didn’t run great on it. Loaded those same games up on balanced power setting, and was getting over 60 fps with DLSS, which is great for me. This is gonna get me through many big titles to come!

This laptop has been a very reliable daily driver. The screen is great, and the keyboard offers an excellent typing experience. I’ve also been impressed by the long battery life, which easily handles a full day of use. Performance & Thermals: Light use/gaming: Stays cool and quiet. Heavy load: It stays functional but gets very hot, and the fan noise becomes quite loud. The Downside: I unfortunately broke my charging adapter and have found it extremely hard to find a replacement. It’s a great machine, but be very careful with the charger!

Gamers who cannot spend time in the basement man cave on my Desk PC, so I needed a Wi-Fi 15 ich or larger Game machine. This small package pack's a big wallop in game playability. I play Wartales which has a huge memory leak and this machine has had no issues so far handling more tha 6 hours straight gaming. I would recommend it or its 2025 predecessor. I did have one issue putting the NVIDIA program on by mistake and it over rode the RTX driver and was running bad till I figured it out. No other problems and I do like the ASUS program which frees up memory on the fly.
