Using mastercam 2024 compiling multiaxis toolpaths runs great. Would buy again! Note. Purchase a keyboard silicone cover as it can keep your fingers from scratching

Though I haven't had it for long, I'm strongly debating returning it. Unfortunately, I only have 15 days per the return policy to make this decision. This laptop looks, feels, and performs amazingly (for the most part). Spending over $2k on a laptop and running into the bugs that I have so far is both annoying and concerning. I've taken all updates and cycled the power on this machine yet still run into varying issues. 1) When I open the laptop it takes quite some time to get a picture. About half of the time the keyboard lights up, it makes the ROG sound, but no picture on screen. I then have to do a full restart. 2) I've discovered quite a bit of freezing/lag performing very simple tasks such as web browsing. 3) I've had issues with the sound cutting in and out at random. My previous laptop of more than five years was an ASUS ROG and I'm loyal to the brand. I want to keep this but I have to give it some more time. Unfortunately it might to time to look at other models or brands.

Download G helper and it will tell you that you need the cirrus logic amp driver. This wasn't listed on Asus website but was required to get the speakers working. 2. Camera/IR camera won't work without Windows 24H2. I installed via ISO from Windows Insider Program. I did see some stuttering during games when charging via USB-C, which immediately went away using the power brick, or battery. Everything else works awesome. Note -

This was my second Asus Zephyrus product, the first being a G15 from a few years ago. The G16 I purchased was crashing very consistently in a strange pattern: it would crash every day the first time I booted up, but afterwards would be fine. Over the course of about 6 months of ownership, I tried reinstalling windows, updating drivers, memory tests, etc. all with no success. In the end I noticed the SD card reader did not work, so I sent the laptop in for a warrantly claim for a motherboard replacement. Kudos to Best Buy for honoring the warranty and giving me a full refund when they were unable to source a replacement motherboard. I was very disappointed because I really believed in the Zephyrus products, but for the money they need to be reliable machines. I also had issues with my G15, so after this I've decided to build a PC instead, which combined with a 65" oled TV comes out to about the same price as these gaming laptops.
