A Powerhouse in a Sleek Suit – ASUS ROG Zephyrus G
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From the moment I unboxed the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 in its stunning Platinum White finish, I knew I had something special. This laptop isn’t just a gaming machine—it’s a statement piece. The 16” OLED QHD 240Hz display is breathtaking, delivering rich colors and buttery-smooth gameplay. Every frame feels alive, whether I’m deep in an RPG world or blasting through competitive shooters. Under the hood, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX and NVIDIA RTX 4070 form a powerhouse duo, effortlessly handling AAA games and intensive workloads. With 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD, multitasking is seamless, and storage worries are a thing of the past. Despite its raw power, it remains impressively thin and lightweight, making it easy to carry. The keyboard is a joy to type on, and the cooling system keeps performance steady under pressure. My only gripe? The battery life could be better for non-gaming tasks. But overall, this laptop is a beast wrapped in elegance, perfect for gamers and creators alike!

Great Laptop and battery life, some imperfections
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently got this laptop as an open-box item. I have to say that the performance is great, although it has frozen on me twice, and I had to turn it off. I’m not sure if this has something to do with an update, but other than that, the battery life is excellent. Mine also has coil whine, which can only be heard while charging. Could be annoying for some people, but definitely something to be aware of if you’re planning on buying this laptop.

Great option for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid option in the laptop space. Battery life is simply OK, but it's very powerful and has no problem keeping up with the demands I ask of it. Great at running most games. Display is incredible and the sound from the speakers is one of the best in laptops. Build quality is similar to MacBooks.

Cool gamming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Oh my, I used to have an Intel G16 2024 version, but this AMD refresh version does make a difference. The one point surprise me most is how cool and efficient this laptop is, unlike Intel version, it's fan often kick in for even light task such as Internet browsing. The battery seems to get a bit better but not very significant given how efficient the new horible naming AMD chip is. I could have given this review 5 start but my model have interet and Ethernet adapter failure, I have no chance to restore my wifi drivers so I ended up returning it. Not to even mention the pricing compared to how often Intel version get on sale.

Battlestation more transportable than mobile
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely light, exceedingly powerful, and certainly thin, this laptop absolutely does deliver performance on the road, and is very easy to setup. I travel for work, and am in hotels very often. This laptop has enabled me the ability again to play games with my wife, or really just about anything I want, and that means I have reclaimed one of my favorite hobbies after a long day. I mean it is really beefy, and I can play things I never could before, even on my personal desktop I built a good few years back. However, I am more than a little disappointed on the battery life, and some concerning gimmicks. I'll validate by saying that I've been using this laptop for about a month now, and it has some considerable issues when being put to sleep. Shutting your laptop or pressing the power button is really a coin toss on whether or not it will actually turn back on without needing to hard shutdown the computer first, and that's assuming the battery hasn't died just being transported for a single day. I'm not joking, this battery lasts *maybe* 1.5-2 hours open and unplugged if you're being very gentle (which is admittedly fair for such a thin little monster). By no means is this a bad laptop, and it really does perform outstandingly when its plugged in, but for a $2.5k laptop, price-point based largely on its portability for performance, one would expect a bit more life for the punch. I'm somewhat reduced to catering to whether I can plug in my laptop to use it, which on plane rides can be very inhibiting. Also would have loved an Ethernet port, but its not a deal-breaker, Additionally, as expected for gaming laptops, this thing could warm a Siberian orphanage the moment you run anything more demanding than MS Paint. I would not plan on comfortably laptop-ing, but find yourself a surface, even consider propping it up for airflow, and you're golden. Way too good to be less than a 4 star, but just barely too many frustrations to be a perfect 5 star for the price.

Amazing laptop but needs improvement
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Build Quality and screen is amazing and the laptop feels very snapy and is battery efficient. But i had some issues while launching and playing games the laptop freezes or hangs completely. Otherwise it would have been a 5 star

Overheats
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The overall computer is great, but it gets super overheated by even the least demanding games and with a cooling pad, which is probably the worst feature on this computer. However other than that I’m really happy with my purchase.

Portable Gaming, Mid Battery Life
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought this laptop to game during my trips as I primarily used a MacBook for work. It's great: - Super light, makes it easier carrying 2 laptops - Great Screen - Great keyboard - Speakers What's preventing it from being a daily driver: - Battery life (yeah it's mid) - Trackpad (I just wish it was haptic)

4.5 for amazing machine and true powerhouse
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a truly amazing laptop. I never had a gaming laptop before but I don't think so I am ever going back to a non gaming laptop. I really like the AMD Ryzen 9 HX 370, it is the only AI processor with dedicated NPU which is has the best single and multi core scores. The graphics card is plenty for me to run ML and AI models and I am not a gamer so I really don't care about its gaming performance. I had an HP Specter for the longest, so the keyboard took some adjusting but I love the keyboard. I really wished it had a camera kill button as on one of the function keys but no biggie. Speakers are pretty powerful for a laptop. I wished the trackpad was haptic but like this one as well. Port selection is good and really wished the screen was at least 2.8 or 3K but 240 HZ is fine I guess. Sometimes the unit will get a little heated but armory crate really helps with managing the temperature. and the power. I am really happy with the battery life as don't expect a gaming laptop to last a day anything more then a 2 hr on gaming is really good and anything more then 4-5 hours for other stuff (not running ML or high processing) is above average. Good machine. But still you can get a ProArt with same config for 400K less so a bit higher price. For the screen, a bit higher price and not having a camera shortcut key I rate it 4.5 but if those are not your concerns then DEF a 5 star machine.

Awesome laptop, held back by Asus QC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is pretty incredible. Awesome performance, good battery life (when not using the DGPU) the display is AMAZING, best glass. Keyboard is amazing. Speakers are SOOOOOOO GOOD. This is as good or better than most $30 bluetooth speakers you buy on amazon, I'm not kidding. Althought mine had a weird issue where the left tweeter kept going out... nothing some Asus RAM can't fix though, as long as it's within warranty. The trackpad is also very good. For it being mechanical, i'd give it a B+. (I can't give any an A unless it's haptic, though. This unfortunately isn't haptic)

Very capable device
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up over the Yoga Pro 9i mainly because of the RTX 4070 and lightweight. Had it for over a week but ended up returning it Overall, it's a nice looking laptop, capable of handling AAA games and does not have the look of a bulky gaming laptop. The OLED screen is bright and crisp, plenty of RAM to work with. The speakers are the best I've seen. Not too hot/loud while gaming. There are a few quirks that came with it such as mini-freezes/stutter, which is on the OS and should be ironed out eventually. The keyboard RBG kept flashing while idle and I couldn't get the setting to stick. I turned to silent mode + iGPU and got around 5 hours from surfing/watching YT. Battery is hot while charging, and is warm on light usage. And track pad is unnecessarily large IMO. Every now and then I could not launch a Steam games without a reboot. With a short period of owning it, I couldn't justify paying 2000 (after sales). It's still a nice laptop despite some of the nuisances. I'd still recommend it if money is not an issue, otherwise wait until it drops a couple hundreds more.

The closest thing to a no compromise laptop*
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.*the askterisk being price* Overall this is probably one of the best laptops you can buy, let alone in existence, more akin to macbook than gaming laptops of lore. Lets start from the top, powering this lovely laser engraved frame of this absolutely ridiculously thin laptop is the new AMD HX 370 AI Processor, which for starters in optimus mode can last upto 12 hours of straight usage, (use g-helper, armoury crate isn't great for battery life) this would give my M2 Macbook Air a run for the money on battery life. When you're not scurrying from power port to power port at the business factory getting tasks done from product owners, you're getting this because you want to game, and game you will. Plays Forza Horizon 5 at native res 60-90fps, it runs helldivers at 60fps. This is ultimately the factor, for the money that they're charging for this laptop you can get a FAR more powerful gaming laptop, however the rest of the laptop package will not be as well made. This laptop has one of the best keyboards of any laptop, the trackpad is near macbook levels, the screen would give my LG C3 OLED a run for the money, but it's hampered by the RTX 4070. If they could offer a RTX 4080 without increasing the price this would be the perfect laptop and an easy 5 star, but considering they're charging premium pricing for a mid tier gaming laptop performance, it gets a respectable 4/5 stars.

Heat is an issue, but it’s otherwise great.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop gets super hot to the point it burns to touch when gaming, which is quite concerning. This excessive heat can affect the device's performance and potentially cause long-term damage. It might be beneficial to invest in a cooling pad or ensure that the laptop's ventilation is not blocked during intense gaming sessions. On the positive side, the power is impressive, and it operates smoothly and quickly. The fast processing speed makes multitasking and running demanding applications a breeze. Despite the overheating issue, its overall performance is commendable for tasks beyond gaming.

Perfect mix of power and portability but gets hot.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace the Zephyrus G16 4090 edition that I found ran to hot as a desktop replacement and ran too short on battery when under heavy workloads. So far this laptop has given me more battery life under 3d and video workloads when on the go. Got a solid 3+ hours using Blender and 4-6+ hours doing Google slides work and little Photoshop retouching before the battery alert came on. The 4070 gpu was quite a downgrade from the 4090, but under short heavy loads it got the job done, Blender and Photoshop was smooth when plugged and under battery + the it lasted 2-4 hours longer than the Intel/4090 version depending on what you're doing, Highly recommend it for medium portable and desktop replacement uses. The only caveat I see is the fan noise when under high workloads and the heat. Its louder and runs hotter than the Intel/4090 version when exporting video, rendering 3d, or AAA gaming, But somehow lasts longer, especially when using the igpu. 6-8 hours under medium workloads, Longer when casual browsing or video.

Efficient laptop with subpar GPU.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is actually a really nice laptop. The Ryzen chip is efficient. I already knew the RAM was soldered on so I didn't mind. Make sure you get the RAM you think you'll need. Display is beautiful! Speakers are really amazing. The only reason I returned this was because of the 8GB of VRAM. I ended up getting the Intel G16 with a 4080 because of the higher VRAM. The top part gets hot but you won't be touching that area.

Nice Gaming Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m very satisfied with how lightweight it is. Love that I can get work done in the morning and game in the evening during business trips. However, when running games, the temperature occasionally exceeds 90°C, so I had to purchase an external cooling fan and keyboard. For that reason, I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5.

Sweet spot for performance and value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I am pleased with this laptop and enjoy using it for some fairly basic gaming (e.g., BG3, Civ VI/VII). My favorite feature is the screen - it actually manages to make Windows look decent and game gorgeous. I do have an annoying, recurring issue where a component of the sound system (amplifier, if memory serves) will stop working. That prevents the pretty decent speaker array from working, and I get very tinny, low volume sound from what I surmise is a basic speaker on the motherboard. I have to go into Device Manager and disable/enable the device to get sound restored. I am hoping this is resolved in a future driver update, and I need to get around to opening a support ticket with Asus.
