Great for both Engineering and Gaming

Absolutely love this power house of a laptop. It’s been great for both gaming and engineering applications! CAD works great, programming is smooth, and when all the schoolwork is over with, it runs my games like a champ! Granted I haven’t tried any triple A games on it yet but HellDivers is a smooth experience. Only thing is to make sure the computer as adequate ventilation while preforming heavy task otherwise it does get pretty hot. Other than having to be conscious of ventilation I’ve been loving the experience this computer has to offer. Definitely get the 4080 version as 4070 falls short and there’s not much difference except for price going to the 4090. Enjoy !

Crazy build quality, maxes out everything I throw at it. Insane screen. Only problem so far when I turn it on it gets stuck on the asus rog logo and I have to turn it back on and off and after a few minutes it'll randomly boot into windows. I wish there was a way to turn off the asus boot. Tried going into the bios but it was super laggy. I updated all the motherboard bios and everything. Still have the issue. But its a beast for sure no regrets

Generally a great computer with great display and good performance. Only issues I have is the screen had a hairline crack one day randomly when I opened my laptop, and while performance is normally great, the laptop has issues from it often overheating so I had to pay over $100 for a cooler fan to put under it just so it doesn’t constantly over heat. I play with the crack as it isn’t super noticeable and the fan has fixed the over heating so with those work arounds its great, but having a giant fan you need certainly makes it less portable defeating the whole purpose of me getting a laptop instead of a desktop.

A stunning laptop with a lot of power a gorgeous OLED screen, but to get it where you need to get it to go it takes a lot of tweaking even down to the registry level. Once you get it there then the fan and the thermal performance are fine. Battery Life, if you’re gaming is not great but can be pretty decent if you’re just doing productivity work and some video viewing. All in all though I do love it but to get it to where I needed to get it to go and control the heat and fans took quite a bit of work.

Almost perfect (GPU is slower Max Q) and no Wifi 7

I would of given it a perfect score. My issue is the fact they hide its a Max Q version of the gpu. Even though its a 4080 like my other laptop. It runs way slower, because the other laptop uses 175w for the gpu vs 115w. If Asus reads this, please add that 10w hidden by a manual overclock to Turbo. The other reason for 1 less star is NO wifi 7, really!

Got a great discount but Its a great product overall, it serves its purpose for someone like me, who is studying abroad that need something small, portable, but still has great performance. You would encounter some slight jitters as most laptops do (I experienced it in the past before) but its very negligible.

Returned-Glitches and Heating Issues. Lemon?

I returned product. Out of the box it needed programs reinstalled due to way too many glitches. Asus software is a mess. I removed Armory Crate and installed GHelper and still had heating issues from CPU and GPU. Temps in 90's immediately during gameplay and never stabilized at a lower temp (used Cyberpunk for testing). Had issues getting it below 70's when on idle after leaving game. I changed the power limit and that helped some with CPU temps on idle. Fans were always on due to cooling issues. I had it raised on platform and still no good. Had some wifi issues too that occasionally popped up in bios doing diagnostic showed potential motherboard issues. When it started having audio glitches in Youtube and video stuttering I called it quits.
Pros: Beautiful screen, great audio for a laptop (when it works correctly).
Cons: Heating issues on idle and in game. Started having glitches, and possible wifi card or motherboard issues. Asus software.

I purchased this laptop at BestBuy and OH-BOY is it awesome! This machine is fast and the OLED screen is unbelievable. I also added a Samsung 990 Pro M.2, 2TB SSD, giving it plenty of space for games. The battery life is pretty good unless you play a AAA game, then the battery is better than most others, but - more demand - more power.

Best Laptop I’ve Ever Owned

This laptop has been amazing since I got it. Everything about it is great except maybe the battery life. Even then it’s OK. I’m able to game (still high fps) while on battery alone tho which is something my older laptop wasnt able to do. It would switch to a saver mode and run very slow until plugged in again. The 32GB of Ram and 4080 seems to be the sweetspot until the 5000 Series Drops. (2025?)

I recently got my hands on the Asus Zephyrus G16, it's been everything I hoped for updating from my 2020 G14
Gorgeous OLED Screen:
The QHD+ OLED display is nothing short of breathtaking. Colors pop, blacks are deep, and the contrast is mesmerizing. Whether I’m gaming or watching movies, the screen quality is top-notch.
High Refresh Rate:
The 165Hz refresh rate ensures buttery-smooth gameplay.
Beastly Specs:
With an Intel Core i9 13900H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU, this laptop is a powerhouse.
The 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD provide ample space and lightning-fast performance.
Loved easily adding in a second 4TB ssd to up the storage.
Nice Keyboard:
The RGB backlit keyboard is a joy to type on. The keys are responsive, and the customizable lighting is sweet.
The Only Quirk:
Now, let’s address the issue you mentioned. There seems to be a hiccup when booting with a USB-C hub plugged in. Sometimes, the laptop doesn’t boot properly. It gets stuck during the startup process. I haven't figured out the Bios setting that will prevent it from hanging hard. With the supplied power strip it works just fine. Plug in the USB-C hub after booting up. It seems to prevent any conflicts during startup.
Final Verdict:
Despite this minor quirk, the Asus Zephyrus G16 (2024) is a beast of a gaming laptop. If you’re serious about performance, stunning visuals, and a killer keyboard, this is the one to get. Just remember to follow the workaround, and you’ll be in gaming nirvana!

Really love the build quality and how the laptop is slim and fits everything into it compactly. Although the fans get loud which isn’t really a problem if you put on headphones and it only happens when you really do heavy task or gaming. It’s has the best speaker system for a laptop I’ve seen and the slash lightning is super cool and customizable

If you know what you're looking for than this laptop will blow you away. After a week of HEAVY use and really putting it through the paces I've been greatly impressed. Aside from being impossibly thing and just beautifully designed, fan noise is super super low from other similar style laptops. Even setting fans to max via the custom profile it barely breaks 50-51db, which is good because you will need that max fan setting for some more demanding games. Temps remain well within good ranges, GPU very rarely breaking 85C and CPU staying under 93C to avoid throttling (CPU does seem to get hotter than would be expected in some applications but never worrisome and to be expected with a less powerful chipset). The cherry on top is screen, I've never been super into bleeding edge tech you usually get from higher end models but it is genuinely gorgeous and makes a notable difference. Only things I can really know it for is palm rejection on the (very very very large) touchpad isn't the best, but hasn't been a major issue so far, and the keyboard backlight. For a unit with in spitting distances of the 3k price point to have single zone RGB backlighting is just silly.

The screen is phenomenal as well as the performance; however, the cpu would overheat on me if I had the cpu boost on in cpu intensive games though this was easily solved by turning off the cpu boost. Aside from that I didn’t really have any issues and it worked very well for my uses for it.

Seriously, the Rolls Royce of gaming laptops. Super glad I went with the ultra 9 185h RTX 4080 model! No issues on my end whatsoever! Has exceeded my expectations. The screen, my GOD, the OLED panel is pretty high quality on this thing. The colors are pretty unmatched especially when paired to LED, or IPS displays. Another smash hit from ASUS! The only issue I really have is the battery life. But, when you pair a machine with an RTX 4080 and an ultra 9 185h, you're prone to low battery life. I've made it last almost 10 hours but that's WITH power save settings on, no slash lighting, no keyboard lighting, etc. All around 7/10 laptop.
