The laptop worked great initially. However, cooling was both an immediate and long-term problem. During gaming the fans are so loud that you need headphones to be able to hear what you want to hear. As hard as the fans work, the computer, especially underneath, gets very hot to the touch. I had to prop up the back of the computer for it to get adequate airflow, even on a hard surface. That seems like a design flaw... That was annoying, but livable. My first red flag was a (presumably) software glitch that caused the fans to stop operating entirely whenever there is a Windows update. The first time this happened I was caught completely by surprise and didn't realize what was going on until performance started to suffer. I then noticed the fans weren't running and the underside of the computer had gotten dangerously hot. I did a hard shutdown and waited for it to cool. Upon rebooting the fans still wouldn't spin. After some time researching online, I restarted the computer in BIOS mode and this resolved the issue. The problem recurred every time there was a Windows update, but I knew how to fix it after that. The second-to-last straw was when the bearings in one of the fans went out after 7 months of use. This caused a horrendous noise and scary vibration. It felt like the computer was going to shake itself to pieces. I replaced both fans and all was well. The actual last straw was when the bearings of one of the replacement fans went out again, after only 2 more months. I don't want to deal with this nonsense after spending nearly two grand on a computer. I am shopping (elsewhere) for a new laptop now and hoping this was just an unlucky experience. I would not recommend this product and I would suggest that anyone interested in it do some more research regarding the fans and cooling. I'm not the only one with this problem.

The i7 10th Gen is PERFECT for this build. Quite, not too hot, and more power then Most desktops.

It is my first gamer laptop and it is incredible, the only bad thing is that sometimes it makes a lot of noise, and if it moves a little abruptly it sounds like it is going to fall apart but I suppose it is to be careful, otherwise it is great and runs any game in ultra settings

I bought this pc to serve as a stream pc and back up to my other laptop and desktop and honestly i am so greatful for it you wont ever see the full 240fps on the 240hz monitor in triple a titles but it gives you your moneys worth and for 1500.00 for these components it was a steal!!!! in apex and cod solid 100+ fps the 3ms response is A bummer but it makes up for it in the sure beautiful screen the ips panel is amazing color accurate the cpu and gpu get toasty but if you run the pc in turbo mode which you should to get max performance anyway as it is a gaming pc then youll see it stays rather cool under load the fan placement is my only gripe is that its bottom air fed so it needs to be on a flat smooth surface not on your lap ive seen alot of “overheating” complaints this is meant to sit on the desk and get the proper airflow not be on your lap if you do need to use it in your lap get a lapdesk because that will give you proper air flow sound quality is eh at best it could be better but for a 1500.00 laptop with these specs i expected eh speakers and for it to sound tinny and thats pretty much what it is however its not a horrible experience overall i give it a 10/10 aka 5 stars great battery life and performance rogue company plays beautifully on it as did the other titles mentioned hope this helps anyone whos on the fence about buying it and yes i would recommend it over the ryzen counter part as that one you only get a 2060 and an unnamed ryzen 9 cpu

Love this laptop! High performance at a much better price than a MacBook. You just get way more for your money unless you just have to have a MacBook with lower specs then that’s on you. Only downside I have with this is the loud cooling fan, but that is to be expected with a high performance gaming laptop, without getting into to much tech talk. I run COD Modern warfare on the highest settings and it runs beautifully, photoshop and video editing is smooth and loads quickly, boot up is almost instant as well. If you aren’t familiar with computers, my biggest recommendation is to use an external hard drive for anything you load onto it, as this is what slows people’s machines down. Keep you laptop clutter free and it will last you a long time

For a college student, this thing is incredible. Not only does it have a fast start up for when I need to get into a zoom call ASAP, but it's more than capable of handling multiple programs open at once thanks to the 16GB of RAM. And for when I'm gaming in my free time, this beast is able to run games so smoothly that my friends are astonished at the frame rate and quality for a laptop.

I like the bigger screen and it has good speed and graphics for playing games.

I really love this laptop. I don't know much about computers so I can't leave the greatest review, but I know the specs are really great for its price (especially since I got it during black Friday) after doing a bit of research. Its pretty silent and its has a really nice design. Won't be taking it anywhere since I'm scared to but I think it will be good for travel.

Only down side is no web camera. Now all the people who don’t care or use an external should be happy. Works great besides an average battery life. With the hardware I was not expecting amazing battery life. Love the 1080 screen.

The notebook is light and thin. Fast, even has the 2070 in it.

Very nice laptop, I purchased it to work on Autocadd, only downside is that the fan makes a ticking noise when it first starts up, in quite mode its not noticeable. But as is speads up for performance it can get loud and annoying.

I’ve bought ASUS for years now, has always been a reliable well performing brand. I’d have to say the hardware for this fits the bill, but the software really brings this machine way down. I updated the bios, all the drivers, windows etc and still get random BSODs. Each time listing something different as a cause. It’s been reformatted and attempted without updates only to get the same results. The hardware was all tested and passed. I’m at a loss on this one. The ASUS software ruins this whole thing and that’s sad. It switches randomly back and forth between profiles (ASUS CRATE) freezes and locks up the machine for 20-30 secs ea time. I’m not sure I can keep this one...
