Perfect laptop for gaming and for school work. My daughter uses this laptop for her animation and visual affects major.

Great product with all the bells and whistles. The reviews clearly show the 8Gb 2070 card was the way to go vs. 2060 or older 1660 Ti models out there. Love the fast screen and my son the gamer couldn't be happier. Bought this as an open box for 1450 and at that time there was only one comparable system from MSI but ASUS has always been a stable MB manufacturer IMO when I was building my own desktop systems, so I went with them. Fans are definitely a little loud when in full 3D gaming but tolerable.

Overall, the laptop feels well built and performs decently. However, it's loud, very loud. Playing a game, it's hard at times to hear the actual game over the fans. Not the type of experience that makes you look forward to gaming.

Returned this after testing for a week or two back in the winter. Pros: solid performance, comfortable soft touch finish. Cons: screen response time isn't great, device runs really hot, build quality is ~6.5/10.

So far it's a decent laptop, I really only have 1 complaint and that's the m.2 screws. I went to install a second m.2 and the screws for both the pre installed drive and the second drive are both factory overtightened to the point they both need replaced due to destroying the screw heads. Had to use pliers to break them free and ordered new screws.

It’s a gaming beast. Anything I can throw at it, it will take it. Definitely highly recommended, not for beginners.

Great laptop for the price. Serves the purpose it was purchased for, it is now my home PC and used for casual gaming.... Sadly, was not able to wait for the price to drop down and purchased it for 1.5k. Still a great one though. Previously owned a G750JW but suddenly just getting black screen, fan runs but getting nothing on the screen. Hopefully would not encounter that issues with this one. Owned it for a month now and so far no issues.

Let me start off by saying that this is first gaming laptop. I have done my research and have been looking to purchase a gaming laptop for a while. This gaming laptop comes prepared for any challenges it has. it can easily handle any task. the first week of me having this laptop was phenomenal. Temperatures were a little high but it was fine because the GPU never got over 80c and the CPU never got over 90c under sustained load. CPU was comfortable hitting 4.5ghz, according to the ASUS armory crate. But after the first week, it started heating up really fast. Within minutes from a cold start and loading up a game, the CPU started hitting 95c and it was thermal throttling. Because of this the clocks (obviously) lowered to about 3.6-3.9ghz. The GPU was hitting 85c. I don't know if this is normal, and if it isn't please don't hesitate to tell me otherwise but it's just a little odd. if the temperatures weren't so high I would give this a five star rating.

This machine has easily ran any game i threw at it at high settings with good frame rates. Unfortunately right when my return period ended I started getting black screens in the middle of gameplay. Haven’t been able to find any fix for it and I’m already looking at other options.
