It doesn't have any features that are flashy but useless. The graphic cards meet all my gaming and image processing needs. I've seen reviews complaining the noise and heat. I will say I am actually very happy with how powerful the cooling fan is. Heat is constantly released from the inside and the CPU temperature never gets too high.

Owned for 8 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I enjoy playing games a lot but am currently a college student, so having decent battery life for a gaming laptop of this power is still a concern. When I first got the laptop, it was great for performance, thermals, and battery life. However, after some updates from ASUS/Windows Updates, the laptop's battery suddenly tanked from around 4-6 hours doing light tasks for college work to only lasting around 2 hours max when left open on the desktop with nothing open and on minimum brightness. I went to Best Buy to get a battery replacement and that did not fix the problem. What did fix this was resetting the laptop to ASUS factory defaults, so software was set back to April 2021 I believe. This worked for a few more months until now, where after an ASUS/Windows Update, it went back to the same behavior of abysmal battery life. In addition to the battery life being lowered after an update, the CPU temperature hovers from 50-60C when idle on the silent profile. This happened both times now, coinciding with the drop in battery life. Before, the CPU would run around the mid 30's to low 40's when idle on the silent profile. Before the random drop in battery life and uptick in temperature, I probably would have given the laptop a 4 or a 5 star, but after encountering this problem twice, fixing it once, and unable to fix it the second time all in the span of 8 months, it has dropped to a 2 star. Other than these, performance in games with the Performance profile is what you'd expect for a gaming laptop with these specs - good FPS but the laptop can get warm to hot depending on how hard it is pushed.

One i figured that out my experience changed 100% for the better. Not a big fan of the grey shell, but it is what it is.

I upgraded from a GTX 1660 TI MSI laptop, but I bought that laptop new for 1500 and this one on sale for 1300. The amount of times I have to reset the Asus because of bugs is crazy, if you even lift the laptop wrong it messes with the internal fans and you can hear a loud noise that sounds like your PC is dying. The drivers are not even out yet as I can’t get Ray tracing drivers since Microsoft said that they can’t even upgrade my windows due to “technical issues and non buggy drivers not being readily available”. I was really excited for the 2070 Ray tracing though! But the performance is not great for an RTX trying to Ray trace, and the PC runs red red hot from factory, clocking temps up to 95 C.

I initially bought this laptop and it just wasn’t working, games crashed, blue screen you name it. Trusting on my research for this laptop I just knew it was just a manufacturing error and it was just broken. Immediately exchanged it and I don’t have any complaints at all!! Great gaming laptop!
