Customers are saying

Customers commend the ROG Zephyrus M15 for its impressive performance, excellent graphics capabilities, and high refresh rate display, making it ideal for gaming. Positive feedback also highlights its lightweight design and fast SSD. However, some users point to issues with heat generation, fan noise, and battery life as potential drawbacks. If you are more of a mobile gamer, this will not last you for more than 1 hour of ultra-graphics gaming. You won't be able to maximize the potential of this laptop without plugging it in. Otherwise, just get a desktop instead if you're not travelling a lot and in need of such. LASTLY, and more importantly, it is not wise to buy this considering that there is a new model coming up for almost the same price and better specs!

The laptop runs well, but gets really hot, really fast. Key letters used in gaming wear unrecognizable quickly as well.

The laptop is great. Just don't leave it on a surface that doesn't have good ventilation. Setup was easy and fast. I like the 3 fan modes it has. I don't like that this particular model only came in grey but it's fine.

Just OK "Thin & Light" Laptop

Decent laptop for what it is, definitely would not recommend unless you are planning to under volt the CPU & GPU to help with heat, throttling, and fan noise. This being a 2070 Max-Q, its performance is similar to high-wattage laptop 2060, so keep that in mind before buying. CONS: -Being a "thin & light" laptop, I expected some pretty loud fans, and this guy definitely delivered on that. Do not expect a quiet gaming session unless graphics are turned down/FPS limiter is set to ~60fps -Most games ran at 80C+, warzone bringing this portable heater all the way to 95C on CPU & GPU with fans maxed out. I didn't keep it long enough to go in and under volt the system, so YMMV -Keyboard is a bit mushy, but manageable. The layout is decent for MMOs, FPS games required some getting used to. - The screen design allows for a good amount of flex when closed, which was a major red flag for me. PROS -A 240hz screen with around a 10ms GTG response time, running near 100% sRGB color gamut. Great for the price -As per usual, the rgb with most ASUS ROG devices are top notch. very pleased. -Screen flex aside, the rest of this pc felt extremely solid. -Interface options were superb, including USB-C charging, a major reason for my purchase. OVERALL I returned this laptop due to temps & fan noise. if you need a "thin and light" laptop, 15.6" or 17.3" is just silly. Go for a 14" or smaller if that's the case. If you want a casual gaming laptop, or plan on using it as a desktop replacement/college gaming system, look for one without the "thin and light" tag, save yourself the headaches of tinkering with a system 24/7. Very few of these thin laptops have sufficient cooling systems for the components they hold, and melting my 1300$ purchase for a .2 inches thinner machine isnt worth it in my opinion. In the end, I went for the Gateway Creator system with the i5-10300 & RTX 2060. very pleased with the price to performance on it.

I am used to a Mac. I thought the transition would be a bit more seamless. The fact there is no camera during this zooming era is a sticking point. I bought an external camera, but it makes it a less fluid experience.

Worked great while it did. Started getting thermal and throttling issues about six months in, and at this point (10 month mark), it's kind of unusable as a gaming laptop. The GPU is stuck at 300MHz at 100% utilization when playing any games, even after checking battery saving options, updating drivers, resetting drivers, resetting BIOS, and reinstalling windows. This is under the 900MHz base clock speed and so less than 1/3 of the minimum performance of the GPU. This means I get 40fps on Teamfight Tactics, 20 on Dota 2, and can't even break 10 on Divinity: Original Sin 2.

I have been in IT for over 20 years, and this is the most amazing laptop I have ever used. Boot-up is almost instant, page responses are super quick even at my camper where the internet connection is spotty at best. The speakers have great volume. I can't say enough good about this laptop. It is amazing.

Very happy so far with this laptop. It’s extremely light and powerful. It also does not have an over abundance of RGB (which is a good thing). My only complaint would be I wish it had some of the ports on the back versus the side. For the sale price of $1249 this a great deal and specs out well!

The display is crystal clear and the ability to play games with high performance options is fantastic. I highly recommend this gaming laptop. Some reviews mentioned noisy fans but there is definitely an option to adjust the settings to minimize noise while still maintaining good performance.

I am happy with the laptop but the fans are really loud under heavy loads and sometimes when the fans are slow it makes a rattling sound like something is stuck in there. Other than that, I am happy

This laptop is great for gaming. It does get pretty warm and loud but I guess that's what you get with a gaming laptop. If you plan on staying in one place, get a desktop, but if you're always on the go, this laptop is great for it. Also does great with video editing.

I had had Asus before, in fact i'm an ASUS consumer, but this one, it's the exception to the rule (they are usually good). This ROG M15 is great, better than expected, confortable, best quality/price you can get by far at 2020. Amazing machine to work, also great for gaming..
