Amazing Graphics
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The graphics of my game look amazing and it runs very smoothly a whole lot better than my old laptop. Although the battery life could have been better as it lasts a little over an hour after recharging it.

Great gaming laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perfect! I was looking for a laptop specifically for gaming and so far this has been just what the Ogre ordered. Faster on loading screens than even my PC - great graphics, I love it. One issue I found was it heats up considerably but I put it on a cooling paid and have not had any issues from it.

I am in love! Asus made a lifelong customer!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just bought this laptop today and I absolutely love it. The design is unique, the screen resolution is amazing, the keyboard lighting is great, and the speed and power this laptop has makes it the best computer I have ever owned. Got this during a Black Friday sale and I'd say my money was well spent!

Sleek and powerful
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Light and thin. I can’t believe this laptop packs so much power in a very portable design. This is the type of laptop you can use for gaming, creative design or school. It does not look like a gaming laptop at all. Very elegant and low profile. I definitely recommend.

Excellent bargain for a very well made machine
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little skeptical about the build quality, however, this machine is built to almost MacBook quality and looks amazing. The performance is top notch with the i7 and rtx2070 as well as the not mentioned 4k 240hz panel. No where was it mentioned that this panel is 4K but it is! This machine is a great deal.

Fantastic Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop recently. I have run a variety of games at the highest settings (SW Battlefront 2, Dead By Daylight, Eve Online, etc) and have had no issues whatsoever. The games play smoothly, look amazing, and the laptop does not overheat. It's fantastic and I definitely recommend.

ASUS ROG series is legit.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2 years and still going strong. Smooth as ever, the performance lives up, heating is not too bad and I can play AAA games. Not much wrong to write home about other than the battery which I wish was a little better.

Outstanding Value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The price to performance ($1250) is outstanding! The laptop is extremely responsive. The motherboard has an extra M.2 (sata) slot which helps to future proof the unit. Couple that with the 2070 Max Q GPU and you have a laptop that will perform for everyday use and gaming for quite a while.

Great laptop
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop. Does what it's supposed to. Works great with all games i've been throwing at it. The only downside is how hot it runs. I had to buy a cooling pad to put under it to keep it running cool.

OK laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good laptop with some flaws. Has a very squishy keyboard, thermals are not great, and the fan is too loud for the thermal performance. Has very good specs and is very light but still not worth the cost

1 of the more powerful max q gaming laptops out.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop performs great. Thermals are great. The performance of a max q rtx graphics design is not like the desktop counterparts but that's to be expected. It's more like a 2060 non max q. The 240hz display is totally distinguishable over 144 hz and the 3ms overdrive panel is a nice setting in armourycrate. The track pad has no left and right. Just location based clicking for left and right. There are 5 modes in armourycrate. Windows, normal, performance, turbo and manual. Turbo being the best preset while manual you can set both cpu and gpu offsets to max while placing the fans at 100% if you'd like. In nvidia control panel there is an option called dynamic boost which allows this particular laptop to use 115 watts plugged in rather than having even split power between cpu and gpu at 90 watts. In some cases I was seeing 20 fps more which would be an actual 2070 performance. The power brick gets really hot though. Now I have one major issue which is making me return this certain laptop. The left side fan rattles, makes the chassis vibrate and is loud. It is defective. It could have just been the 1-1000 that does it but otherwise that is not a reason to not buy this laptop. Far cry new dawn at 1080p ultra settings was seeing 120 fps while games like counter strike go are seeing 200+ easily. The 1tb ssd is plenty for your average gamer but you'll want to have a backup incase you are a hard-core gamer. Boot times are 5 seconds or less. That's including the rog boot animation. Thunderbolt/type c was able to charge my phone in just under an hour. No screen or keyboard flex. The box doubles as a laptop suitcase funny enough. When you first boot this laptop and get your games loaded up, you will notice big frame drops. That's because of thermal throttling. Just open armourycrate and set the setting to turbo, you have to be plugged in for turbo settings. Unplugged, the laptop is limited to 30 fps on all games to save battery. With turbo mode I have seen 1800mhz boost clock and 5000mhz memory clock. Cpu max boost I have seen is 4.6 ghz. Built in Bluetooth to connect Xbox one controllers, ps4 and ps5 controller. Low latency mode works well with this laptop. All in all, this is a buy for the right price. In my case $1,379.99. Sorry for the huge random point review. Just my thoughts.

The Best Value on the Market
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You won’t find a better value in gaming laptops anywhere. No other brand is offering this combination of build quality, powerful RTX 2070 GPU, great thermals (liquid metal!!), RGB backlit keyboard, 240hz IPS screen with 3ms response times, 16GB of 2933 MHz RAM AND a full 1 TB PCIe SSD, all at this price. It’s already a great deal at MSRP, but if you can wait for a sale or get an open box version of this, the value is through the roof. If you were eyeing a $1200 laptop, save up a few more weeks to get this, the power level on tap will last you MUCH longer. This laptop will destroy anything you throw at it in 1080p. Overwatch at max settings is locked to 120fps (and can go higher if I left the framerate unlimited). Doom Eternal is at 100fps and up at Ultra Nightmare settings. Modern Warfare at max settings (without raytracing) is at 100+ FPS. Fall Guys at max settings is 120+ FPS. Even open world games like Final Fantasy XV are at 75+ FPS maxed out. This does it all. If you want to hook this to an external display like an HDR TV and use it like a game console, it works fantastic for that too because it’s cooling isn’t dependent on the screen being open. I hooked this up to my P-Series Quantum X tv and locked Final Fantasy XV to 30 FPS in 4K DLSS at max settings, even with hairworks on, in HDR, for a much better than console visual experience. You can also run most games at 1440p, max settings, at 60fps to take advantage of a sharper 4K tv picture. I have a gaming desktop with a 2070 Super, and this provides an experience so close to that power level that I don’t even want to sit at the desktop anymore just because of how convenient it is to bring this around to any room I’m in and play all my AAA games maxed out. It’s a revelatory experience, and this laptop is now my best buddy for all my work and play. Don’t look around any longer. Just buy this one. It’s the best value you’ll find, and you won’t regret it.

Fantastic laptop... when you buy it on sale.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An absolute powerhouse of a laptop. Have not had any issues with it. And yes, when you run games, the fans can be loud, but it's a laptop. What do you expect? Also, buy this laptop on sale. $1579 is way too much. I got mine for $1249 during 2020 Black Friday

Good Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plenty fast for my needs. Plays Apex and COD Cold War excellent. Gets fairly hot while in use and the battery does NOT last very long (not gaming on battery). Has an extra empty NVME slot but only ONE ram bay. Screen is sharp with no light bleed.

Gets a Little Hot
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is very good and looks great, but it got very hot. I would recommend getting a cooling pad with this one. Otherwise build quality is good and the screen looks amazing.

Great laptop at a great price.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great laptop, I only have the old 3dmark11, but I compared it to the Asus G14 which I also purchased. On extreme the M14 clocks about 7000, but this one gets up to 9000. That is a rather large performance increase. I believe this comes from the 2070 allowing more juice to flow through it. The only thing I don't particularly care for in both models is soldered ram. Why on a gaming laptop do you solder in ram?? The first thing I would do if it wasn't soldered would be to upgrade to 32gb but if I were to upgrade it now I would actually lose speed since it would no longer be dual channel. Either way it is a great laptop, and works great for VR.

Blew my socks off
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First and foremost there's 5 different settings this pc has for lounging to productivity to hardcore gaming. The first two being silent and performance which obviously tweaks the internals but also ups the limit on fan noise to compensate for power output. The last three settings are with the power cord connected and charging being silent, performance, and turbo which keep in mind are all given an extra edge due to the power intake apposed to consumption. Each setting has visual differences as well as performance with CoD WM running at a solid 25-35 frames on silent up to 170-200 frames on charging performance (the fans get too loud for me on turbo still waiting for my headphones to ship in) but believe it gets even smoother all on high-ultra settings. CSGO runs at 260 max settings non-stop when charging, easy. It's a good budget cop instead of going all out on Razer blades and touch screens

Fast, small and hot
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.much smaller and light than my last rog laptop but that is 6 years old now. Its a good idea to get a laptop cooler just to help out when gaming or encoding video. Very fast and the screen is beautiful
