Awesome computer!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this machine to replace an older version that ran a GTX1060. This machine is great. I have only run into a few situations (encoding video) where the fans ramped up to a relatively high speed. Even then, it was not that high pitched fan sound. This computer is great. The only downfall for this loadout is that it only comes with 16GB ram and that the M.2 is merely 1TB. The battery life is pretty good (as long as you aren't gaming), and I love the screen clarity and color. The only downside to the screen is an occasional screen flash while watching youtube videos in minimized mode. If you go full screen, the flash doesn't occur. This could be something ASUS fixes in a later update.

Great laptop... especially for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is amazing! I opted to buy one with less RAM and a smaller NVMe drive and just swap those out after purchase for more beefy specs. I bought this because it's been quite a number of years since I last bought a non-Apple laptop and I wanted something I could actually game on. So far I've been able to throw anything at it that I've wanted to play (though to be fair I'm not a heavy gamer) and I've been impressed by certain hardware advances since I last bought a PC. The screen looks fantastic, this version of the laptop is fairly lightweight, the trackpad feels as good as my macbook trackpads, etc.

Fast but...
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to love this laptop. It's fast and i love the picture but runs super hot and mine constantly overheats and freezes shortly into playing anything. It isn't a dust issue because it has been doing it since day 1, new out of the box. I've played around with fan settings with no luck. I even tried kicking down the graphics (which is ridiculous). My son has an Acer laptop with a Ryzen 5 processor. His laptop can solidly play the same games I've been attempting to play without overheating. I tried to call asus regarding my issue. I told them it's overheating on even the most basic games (think of ones my tablet can play). They fed me a line about overheating due to load. This should be able to at the very least, play games that my son's lower end laptop can play. I'm sickened that i wasted money on this. It has been a huge disappointment

Excellent sleek gaming laptop, quite pleased
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up so i could play games on out of town jobs, it does seem to get a little warm when high end settings are enabled for various games but it was to be expected with the high end card, handles everything i have thrown at it flawlessly and my fiance has been using it for playing with VR, which it also seems to handle just fine. A cooling pad is suggested and ideally in an air conditioned room. If its sweltering outside probably dont want to use it for extended times. Alao compared to the lower specced desktop i purchased during covid during the product shortage the price was quite nice for what you get.

Absolutely Love It!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am incredibly impressed with this laptop. Granted, it could use some more RAM, but man is this thing fast. Playing Baulders Gate 3 on ultra settings and its doesn't skip a beat. The screen is bright and the colors are vivid. It displays 4k with as much clarity as my OLED tv does. The only down side is that the battery life isnt great when you leave the computer using the nvidia card as your primary gpu. But frankly this thing stays plugged in anyway so its really not that big of a deal. I love it and I highly recommend it.

Amazing laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasn't wanting to spend this much on a laptop as it's secondary to me for gaming, but after the less expensive laptop I tried was a fail, I gave in for the $1500 sale price. Totally worth it. This has excellent build quality, and excellent display with great brightness, and easy upgradability. Only weird thing is it refused to recognize the 2tb Samsung 990 pro I put in the 2nd slot in windows, even though it showed up in bios. Unclear if it's a Asus or Samsung problem, but I swapped it to a WD Black SN 850X and it's been flawless

Insane performance for the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I must start by saying, I purchased mine on sale for $500 off. So for it having a 4070 and 13th gen I9 and coming in under $1500 with the discount it was a no-brainer to buy. Onto my impressions after using it: The battery life is incredible. I'm a full-time electrical engineering student and the computer easily last me almost a full day of charge when using the hybrid GPU mode. And since I plug my laptop in at night anyways getting multiple days charge out of it isn't really a concern. The screen brightness and colors is amazing although my job Focus doesn't work with color accuracy as much so that wasn't a major concern of mine but personally I find the color accuracy to be fantastic. The upgradability is another thing that has blown me away. There is zero soldered ram in this laptop. With the 16gb model, there is one sodimm slot filled and one empty, and with the laptop supporting upto 64gb of DDR5 5600 you can remove the factory stick and replace it and add two identical 32 GB modules, which is exactly what I have done, making this a powerhouse workstation laptop and rendering machine. (Some may say 64GB is overkill, maybe it is, but if you could do it, I bet you would also). The laptop was also geniusly designed to allow for future storage upgrades. (This part is my favorite) YOU DON'T HAVE TO SWAP THW FACTORY SSD TO UPGRADE THE STORAGE!!! Finally someone doing it right. The additional MDOT to Gen 4 slot is above the Wi-Fi card and is designed in a way so that you slot in the additional storage on top of the Wi-Fi card. Pretty smart ASUS :)

It is a beast, the processor is insanely fast, the video card can handle anything, and the screen is just beautiful. I upgraded the ram to 64gb and it helped dramatically. Great deal and excellent performance
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great device, runs every game pretty smoothly. I upgraded the Ram and M.2 drive to maximize effeciancy. The armory crate app is incredibly useful as well. I recommend using a cooling pad as it does get pretty hot, but overall satisfied with my purchase. Battery life of course isnt always the greatest on these but battery saver feature does help out alot for non-gaming use.

Great buy for on the go gaming
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product. Originally purchased for some classes I was taking and decided to start off on some smaller end games. Ultimately started playing FPS games like Apex and Destiny and they run pretty smooth. The RGB keyboard gets funky but if you’re looking for high performance and some solid gaming, this one is it. Careful with the battery, it can run down fairly quickly unless you’re switching to eco mode.

Powerful Laptop and Sleek looking laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If youre looking for a laptop that can so everything while staying slim, this is a good choice. I did do a little upgrading when i bought it such as upgrading the Memory to 64GB and storage to 5tb since I do a lot of editing and found that this has two m2 slots I took advantage of it. I could run games like cyberpunk at max settings on my external monitor especially with DLSS. I could not be happier with my purchase.

Excellent 1440p gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent laptop for gaming. Great specs for the price. Amazing 1440p screen. Keyboard is very responsive. Touch pad feels nice but takes some getting used to the sensitivity. Upgradability is a bonus. 2 RAM slots, 2 M2 NVME slots. Cooling works well to keep components from overheating. Keyboard does get warm around the T key. Asus software offers ability to customize cooling and different performance levels.
