A great gaming laptop with solid specs. The downside is that the preinstalled Windows 11 on not just this laptop but all ASUS/ROG laptops come with bloatware. Also Windows 11 was installed with RAID being enabled in the bios which was baffling, preventing a clean install unless some settings were changed. My advise is to enter the bios and disable RAID, disable the setting to autoinstall ASUS software, disabled armoury crate control, clean reinstall windows, manually install GPU and chipset drivers as well as necessary sound drivers, etc. Finally install GHelper and you have a solid high performance gaming laptop.

All in all it’s a great laptop for business if you’re looking for something small to take between work and home, and can handle some gaming, but can’t take a heavy load. The battery life is terrible, but I knew that before buying. It can handle some light gaming pretty well, and photoshop works okay (not great for video editors in my experience). The display works well enough for the price I paid, and besides some glitching now and then, I have no issues with it. It’s a good size, audio quality is good, and the keyboard is great if you type a lot! Microphone and camera can be used if you don’t have any other option, but not ideal for a professional setting. Great for just chatting with family and friends though. I’m not counting this against the laptop, but I did buy a new model and it came in used. If you do buy this laptop be sure to take pictures of everything before and after opening.

Overall a solid purchase for what I needed. This laptop is great for gaming and 3D modeling that I do when am off on trips. Fans are a bit loud, but that’s only during gaming sessions and to be expected. Very satisfied!

Lightweight and good build. Added 16GB of RAM by using CPU-Z to see what model memory it used, and got the exact same model. Works really well! The battery life is pretty good too! I love that it turns off the GPU to save power and use the integrated GPU for normal tasks.

Great laptop. Runs all my games great so far. Not a fan of the mouse pad it takes some time to get used too. Kinda sad the model i got lid does not support animated lights. Also very loud fans when running games on max settings.

Excellent laptop so far, smaller keyboard but usable. The speakers are good and the display is bright. I upgraded to 64MB and this thing flies. Not into gaming but this handles anything you throw at it. Fan noise is minimal and can be adjusted.

The ROG Asus M16 for 2023, arrives with a bang that will surely please the gaming enthusiasts out there. The 2023 model features the new Intel 13th Gen i9 13900H CPU that is teamed with 16GB of DDR5 4800Mhz Ram. The good news is the M16 for 2023 carries over the same design as the Flow X16 and has two available memory slots for upgrading to 64GB of ram and 2 M2 Slots for future storage upgrades. The 16" QHD 2560 by 1600 IPS Display provides over 500nits of brightness and up to 240hz / 3ms refresh rate. The color accuracy is where this display shines. The colors just simply pop off the screen with vibrancy and richness. Powering the graphics is the new Nvidia RTX 4070 with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM. This GPU provides up to 140-Watt Max TGP for all your gaming needs. The RTX 4000 Series GPU's support the new DLSS 3 and Frame Generation for ultra-fast and smooth graphics. Audio is handled by 2 upward firing speakers for your mids and highs and 2 downward facing speakers for your low-end bass. The downward firing speakers are made of 4 force cancelling woofers that minimize the vibrations for clean low-end bass. (Something that the ROG G14 is still plagued with.) Overall, you will be very pleased with the clean crisp sound these Dolby Atmos Speakers produce. (Hint - Go into the Dolby Atmos App and set audio profile to Movies - So far this is the loudest and clearest sound setting.) Port selection is plentiful minus one exception this year. Missing is the RJ-45 Ethernet Port. The power adapter plug has been moved to the back of the laptop on the left-hand side which is very welcome which ultimately made the RJ-45 Jack disappear in the design. Network connectivity is handled by the MediTek 922 chipset which provides excellent wireless 6E connectivity. Average speeds on wireless are 2.4GBs (Wireless 6E Mesh Router System in home). The rest of the port selection is excellent with an HDMI 2.1 port, 2 USB-C TB ports with power delivery, 2 USB A 3.2 Ports, 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD slot for expansion. Powering your M16 is the 90-Watt 4 Cell Lithium Ion Battery and the included 280-Watt Power Adapter. Rounding out this beauty is a Micron 2400 series 1TB SSD drive to store all your games and applications. This is the only downside to this laptop. It's rather slow. Do yourself a favor and swap out with a much faster Gen 4 NVMe Drive. Asus has included the Cloud Recovery option built into the Bios for the 2023 models which is a godsend. Replace your drive or drives if you setup a Raid and click on the Cloud Recovery option in the Bios. Once you are connected to a network, you find that the recovery process is a snap. The ROG ASUS M16 for 2023 is a very well-rounded gaming beast that does it with a touch of class and style!

One of the best laptops I have ever owned. Sleek, portable, doesnt look like a gaming pc. Initially was worried heat would be the biggest issue. But I installed Ghelper and silent mode is great for when not gaming.

Awesome laptop upgraded it from 16gb of ram to 64, and the 1tb ssd added a 4tb it runs great and plays games really well. Only downside it gets really hot but that is to be expected from a gaming laptop.

The laptop has been with me for sometime, and it is powerful!! The laptop itself is powerful as it is…The cpu paired with GPU and Memory serves my games and my CAD Really well. (recently upgraded the memory to 64gb, It is ddr5-5200mhz)

Excellent performance in Destiny 2, especially with that super fast display. Overall construction feels very solid. Could use more RAM though, especially with upcoming games like Cities Skylines 2.

High quality laptop from build to internal components. Feels premium all over. Keyboard is great. Performance was amazing able to run AAA titles at high FPS while keeping surprisingly cool temps. No tinkering with settings needed.

Great laptop. Good fps. It does get hot though whike gaming. Better to keep it on eco mode for regular browsing and watching movies. Fans are not that loud as many people claim. Overall great laptop especially if you buy on a sale.

Great display (best I've seen on a laptop). Great FPS. Took a little getting used to configuring through Armour Crate (it has some quirks). Once I got it set up it runs my preferred game at 110 FPS on Silent at 80c max.

The fan noise and high thermals were not worth the lighter weight. This laptop cuts corners on the thermal solution to provide a light weight experience. Unfortunately in my case it was uncomfortably hot on the keys and wrist rest to be usable. Ended up retutning and getting a Lenovo Legion 5i wich runs 10c cooler during the same tasks with minimal fan noise and around 15f cooler on the keys and wrist rest. Could have been a bad unit but seems fan noise and thermal issues are common.

This is a great laptop for VMs, code compilation, gaming, video content consumption, and general computational tasks such as web browsing and office apps. The size and weight make it very portable. The size and weight were very important when i was purchasing. With 14 cores/20 threads and a RTX 4070 it is a pretty good package, especially if on sale or open box. The battery life is actually pretty good for a intel 13th gen. Using the Intel graphics and 20% screen brightness I can achieve about 7 hrs. The speakers are great. I personally upgraded the memory and storage capacities.

I bought this for the 240Hz QHD display and the i9 processor, and it blew me away. The visuals are buttery smooth, and it handles AAA games without breaking a sweat. It’s sleek but powerful. Buying a high-end laptop like this requires trust, and I’m glad I went with Best Buy. The service and support are always reliable.

This is a really good gaming laptop! Keep it plugged in at set to the battery saver 80% auto charge it will never go past that damaging your computer. Graphics are really good speed is super fast

I bought this laptop to use for college but also to used for gaming and it has worked wonderfully. My only complaint is the battery is not great without it being plugged in.
