I had returned a different laptop in exchange for this one and needless to say it is exceptionally better and at a $300 lower price point at the time of purchase. Its ability to adjust its performance features so smoothly on the fly blew my mind with the quiet mode still enabling me to play my favorite games.

I brought this laptop, Asus ROG Zephyrus M16 for my Computer Aided Design & Drafting course. I've just finished the AutoCAD part. It handled it really good. Now I'm going to start SolidWorks then Inventor (the one that might break this laptop) I'll do an update after all the courses are over.

Word great. Purchased for my grandson and he absolutely loved it. He uses it for gaming and school.

Powerful, crisp and efficient. Son had a gaming laptop, and at five years old, didn't have the specs for newer games. I read lists of specs and reviews for months. This isn't the highest end, but it doesn't matter. It's light enough, has the powerful processor and graphics.

I am very happy with the product. Run well, good specs and nice design. The only downside is the laptop and battery are heavy, so not so convenient for carrying.

First gaming laptop purchase and so far no regrets! I can play most games with great graphics settings selected. As a plus, I was able to upgrade the laptop by adding another ram stick and storage space without problem (with the help of Geek Squad of course!).

I’ve been using it for a week now, driver and bios updates at initial setup. This laptop is beyond what I expected, I’ve played Battlefield 2042 & Escape from tarkov for hours on end with zero hiccups, pushing 115+ fps on both. Boot times are within seconds, using Microsoft 365 for work is wicked fast, battery life is just fine for an OP gaming laptop, it looks nice, the backlit keys are fantastic (and customizable), the screen is gorgeous! I have no complaints so far

So far this laptop is qn incredible value for the money. The hardware alone has been outstanding! Runs literally any game I can throw at it at max graphical settings. Loved this purchase! Battery life could be slightly better, but im definitely not complaining

Great computer it does heat up fast when gaming though, make sure you get a good cooling pad

I went to best buy and I was amazed by all the laptops there. What won my attention is the efficient use of Space of the Zephyrus. This 16" Laptop is smaller than my 15" Nitro, and the Aspect Ratio of the screen is 16:10, its basically 20% larger than any 15" Laptop. Something that I like is that the speakers actually work, not so dim like the other laptops I had. It doesnt come with fingerprint but an IR camera, and unless someone takes an IR image of you, its impossible to crack it. To tell the truth, I uninstalled all the Asus apps and windows takes care of the temperature very well. Overall I like the premium feel of this laptop, the materials used and the performance.

I noticed my keyboard stopped working fairly often - a few times a day. Sometimes coming back after a bit, sometimes needing a restart or full shutdown. Googling showed me that this has been a common and unaddressed problem with Asus laptops for years, much discussion online. This uses Asus 'Armory Crate' - a 3GB program that lets you set your energy preferences, rgb colors, battery stuff, etc. Replacing this with a 5MB user-made replacement called G-helper seems to have fixed the keyboard issue (someone else told me it did for them), and is a more lightweight program that seems to let me do the same stuff. Another issue, and I'm not sure whether to blame Asus, Windows 11, or Epson as this is my first Windows 11 machine, but my Epson scanner on my 5 year old Windows 10 laptop returns scans as quickly as it can scan, at any resultion. Doing 800dpi scans, on this, after the scanner is done I have to wait up to 2 minutes for the Epson software to finish 'scanning'. Compatability mode etc. didn't help. I had to pay $130 for a software called VueScan that works fine and instant. So it does seem that Epson could likely update it to work, but something that worked on Windows 10 should work 10x more slowly on a faster Win11 machine - there shouldn't be a need for Epson to worry about it either, but it will probably be up to them. Also as someone that uses a large array of small apps for little projects, and devices for developing games on retro consoles etc., I've found I've had to disable Windows 11's 'memory integrity' setting for most of my older drivers to work and continue my work on this new PC. That would happen on any Windows 11 machine, but as this only offers Windows 11, it is part of it and considered within the review as well. Now, with that setting disabled and 2 third-party apps, one made free and open, and one a bit pricey - I seem to be back in business and have a working keyboard for a couple days now. I do need to add - this would get 5 stars if it came like it is now - I love this machine when it works!

Another steller product that now makes me upset when I use it. The backlit keyboard stopped working within 2 days. I have tried everything under the sun software wise and cant turn it back on. Im stumped… more info. When pressing the keybinds for the keyboard lighting brightness it shows the respective icons but nothing from the keyboard itself.

This is a great labtop. It has a great feel and is very comfortable to use for both work and after work Items. The battery life does well but is no ryzen or mac. I do enjoy this labtop coming from a mac with the feel and look for a traveling machine.

Gamer Laptop big but on the smaller/thinner side overall in comparison. For a 16" Gaming laptop, it is definitely a desirable size and weight. Super solid build, a step up in build quality from the G16. A lot of power in a small package with a beautiful screen, more screen that I need really on a laptop. Drives my external monitors without a hitch. A little bit of Asus bloatware that helps run the different modes but it isn't too bad and you can always remove it if you need to. Keyboard is really solid and more than sufficient ports. Love the fact that you can add another M2 drive and upgrade to 64 Gigs of RAM. Downside is you need to take the bottom panel off which isn't too hard but definitely harder than just a small panel. This is smashing through everything I'm running right now and has caused me to rethink building a new desktop as a result.

Great unit for gaming and keeps up with little to no lag and if your using this unit for designing software applications this is the correct choice as I use it for designing pools on the pool studio platform.
