    Long awaited laptop arrived today and while the keyboard lit up the display screen did not. Will be taking it to Best Buy in the morning after ASUS support acknowledged a hardware defect. Not being usable should not warrant any stars at all.

    I purchased this item about a week ago. Seemed to work fine the first couple of days. Now when i press the power button the keyboard lights up but the screen remains black.

    Ac adapter failed after 5 days

    I ordered this on the 20th of December, received it on the 22nd and the ac adapter quit charging the laptop on the 27th.

    Cannot say much good at the moment since it was broken out of box and immediately sent to asus for repairs. Still have not recied it back yet

    I returned it. Just wasn’t putting out great performance for a 4070. Ultra on 1080p is great and all but who plays at 1080 anymore??

    The Asus ROG laptop is not worth the money.. I exchanged for the Acer Predator 18" screen! The Acer is a much better laptop.

    Amazing Laptop

    I love this laptop! I haven't tried running heftier games, like BG3, but she works perfectly for everything I've tried so far. I have no problems running multiple programs at once and can do just about anything I can do on my desktop, sometimes even better. I do wish I could lower the screen brightness even more, but, nonetheless, the screen quality is amazing - I've gotten multiple compliments on it already! The audio quality is also great. I do find the trackpad slow/difficult to use in some cases - namely with movement in certain games, like Honkai Star Rail. I have a wireless mouse though and can use it seamlessly between my desktop and laptop which is ideal and fixes the issue. Battery life is great when I'm streaming or browsing the web, but the second I open a game it eats up the battery. I have no issue keeping the laptop plugged in while gaming, but it could be a con for some. The fans can also get quite loud, but that's to be expected. If I'm gaming, I'm usually wearing headphones anyways, so it doesn't really bother me. Overall, the laptop is gorgeous and super powerful. I'll probably add more storage later on, but its sufficient for now. Highly recommend for casual gaming, streaming, and schoolwork.

    Got this as a backup laptop to my macbook pro, found it at a really good price on sale at BestBuy. I upgraded the RAM to 64gb (very easy to do) and have a 2TB drive waiting to go in next (need space for the AI models I'm planning on using) This system excels as a software development laptop. I have docker, vscode, visual studio 2022, rider and more running on it. I've loaded up docker with sql server, postgres, kafka, azurite and more and no hiccups seen so far. I do use it with an external monitor when developing and have seen no heat issues. Next up is running lmstudio, jan.ai and other ai software which should give the gpu a good workout. I'll post an update when that's done. Battery life isn't great, but then I don't use it without it plugged into a power source, so that doesnt bother me.

    I like this computer a lot. It's my first Asus. I really like the size, and the screen shape. I get a lot more information vertically which is helping me when I use music production daw software. The colors are vibrant, almost too vibrant. It can make pictures online look pretty fake if those pictures were edited poorly. So it's actually a good thing if you want it to point out poor hdr editing. I haven't tested the one major purpose of this machine which is gaming. It seems likely to handle most things with ease. This laptop is a powerful little guy. The 4070 card it has is 8gb vram though, not the 12gb in the specs listed. I knew that beforehand so I'm ok. I did add another tb of ssd and another 16gb ram, bringing this up to 2 tb of storage and 32 gb of ram. It wasn't expensive and well worth it to me. This does bring me to one issue I came across. The screw in the empty ssd m.2 slot was stripped so it was difficult to remove. Other than that I've had no issues. There's not much or any bloatware at all. It reminded me of my old acer nitro 5 in that regards. Great upgrade. Speakers are decent. Cooling is decent. I'm extremely happy with it.

    Great Bang for the Buck

    This is honestly a really nice laptop with great bang for the buck. It has an outstanding GPU/CPU combination with a great quality screen. I wish that it came with slightly more RAM but that's easy enough to add on yourself, it comes with one RAM stick installed but has space for a 2nd slot. The only negative I have on this laptop is be mindful of the USB-A/C slot availability, not as many as I'm used to so had to buy an adaptor for all my accessories.
