Purchased this at discount as an open box which was a stroke of luck as it's already good value for money, it arrived within two days and in perfect condition. So 5 stars to Best Buy. Now onto the laptop itself. Personally I think the 4070 iteration of this is the best of the three. There doesnt seem to be any point in spending way more just to get the 4090 when it's limited by the CPU, and the 4080 is only marginally better at a fairly significant bump in price. The ability to upgrade the RAM and SSD are a huge benefit as well as I intend on hosting both Windows and Linux. This laptop allows for max RAM of 64gb and 2tb of storage so you cant go wrong there. It also isnt as large as I thought it was gonna be so its perfectly fine for travel. The screen is fantastic. Crystal clear, great colour, no dead pixels, very narrow bezels, and perfectly sized for gaming. The keyboard is very comfortable to use with the keys spaced at the right distance, for my hands at least. It also doesnt seem to heat up too much when gaming. As for its gaming performance its brilliant. I'm not looking to chase records with my FPS or anything like that. All that matters to me is can it play any game at a high and consistent frame rate (>=60) with ray tracing at a high resolution, and the answer is absolutley yes. I played the new Resident Evil 4 demo at its highest settings and it handled it really well. There were some very minor frame drops but slight setting adjustments will sort that out no problem. The fans do get a bit loud but that's expected in a laptop and nothing crazy. It also has more than enought power to perform any photo or video editing tasks you need. No lag or stuttering when using Affinity creative software. When UPS droped this off it was freezing outside so when I opened the box the laptop was so cold I thought it was metal. It felt like a premium build. Unfortunately as it warmed the metal feeling disapated and the plastic build became apparent. Despite that the thing is solid and to me isn't worth the extra money to buy something like a Razor for that metal chassis. But nevertheless it would have been great to have it. The only real negative is that this thing is a supermagnet for finger prints. After a days use it would look an absolute mess. But it's easy enough to clean if you have a micro fibre cloth and some cleaning solution. I would definitely advice that. It doesnt have an ethernet port so that might be an issue for some. The battery life is also abysmal, especially when I compare it to my Macbook but it's a gaming laptop! What do you expect? So I cant really count that as a negative. Would 100% recommened this to anyone. Great value and for the next few years you wont have any issues playing anything.

The laptop works great, easy to upgrade ram and second m.2. Recommend getting a laptop cooling mat because it runs hot with some applications but would buy again!

Worse designed laptop I've ever bought, will never buy another ASUS. The keyboard has to be one of the worse keyboards I've ever used. it's cramped into the middle of the laptop instead of using the extra 2 inches of space that are on both sides. The screen opens and wraps around the back of the laptop, so the heat vents blow right onto the screen ricocheting back at the user, and pair that with the heat vents facing upwards on both sides of the keyboard my hands dry out after long nights of gaming. The first few months of owning the laptop anytime I would open the lid it would completely freeze all programs after 30 seconds, and I would have to restart the laptop. The one USB port on the right side of the laptop is near the front which makes anyone using a wired mouse with the laptop need to work around the cord or make that usb port obsolete. Anytime you turn on the laptop it makes a loud sound when displaying the logo. It's effective at running games, but has awful quality of life.

It looks and feels premiun, I really like the design, and it can play any current tittle except Ark ascended lol on ultra.

The best thing about it is the screen. Relatively quiet (when not gaming). Totally different story when I am.

from the specs , to the feel and unboxing this laptop is top notch. Super simple to use , affordable in a great way to learning gaming specs if you ever want to build your own laptop yourself or desktop I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a starter or even someone who’s been gave me for a while, and is looking for something

I just switched from console and this was perfect. It runs every game so smoothly and I could not recommend it enough. There are tons of bad reviews but I haven’t had any problems! This is a beast and a big thanks to ASUS for developing a beast like this for us gamers. I dont have a say in the battery life because I always keep it plugged in at my desk and don’t move it, but when I do on occasion it could be better but seeing as I got this on sale for $1660, it’s 100% worth it!

Bought this laptop for my wife who is currently traveling out of the country. I wanted to find a laptop that could handle gaming, steaming, and more. We play games together in the evenings or watch a movie/show together through discord. This laptop handles it all without a single hiccup. My wife is thoroughly satisfied, as am I.

Within the first week of owning this laptop the power brick blew up. Best buy gave me a whole new laptop. 6 months later now the screen is flashing and going crazy every few minutes as if it’s being unplugged and plugged back in (when it’s not). No bios updates, windows is up to date, and no gpu driver updates. And yes it’s been power cycled many times. Would not recommend

This laptop was a huge upgrade for me it was replacing a laptop from 2014. So far the only issue I have with it is the exhaust from the fans blows directly on the display.

Fast enough, for regular stuff, not to heavy. Battery life is alright, don’t expect too much do. Loving it so far.

We reported a week after purchasing the computer that it has problems with the battery, if it is not connected to the source it does not execute the processes and it turns off, although I bought the product warranty they do not give me service because physically we are in Panama, in addition this week you lowered the price of the laptop by 400 dollars and you promise that if you lower the price of it within 60 days, you will return the difference to the credit card with which I paid and you do not want to return the difference either. you must have all these logs in your system. We are very disappointed with ASUS and the support Best Buy offer and on top of that they did not return the 400 due to a lower price.
