For Gaming Only. Great buy.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a gamer and pc builder that's gotten older I find myself less willing to research every item of a new build or put it together even. My goal when I was looking for a new gaming pc was the most bang for the buck and not have to worry about upgrading anytime soon. Surprisingly with all my researching of what to buy I kept coming back to ASUS Rog laptops. I'm extremely happy with my purchase. This laptop is a beast. It plays every game I have at max settings with good FPS and the screen on this baby is beautiful with rich colors at 244hz. If i do need to upgrade, this laptop has room for additional ram and and a M2 expansion slot. Side note this is not a laptop you would buy for school or average everyday pc use. Its a gaming laptop and is very power hungry. gaming you might get an hour and a half off battery and just regular use maybe 4hrs.. This fits my needs well because I wanted something I could move from room to room in the house, plug in and play instead of being stuck at a desk in my home office.

Laptop gets SCARY hot
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros : Powerhouse of a laptop, can play almost any game at max settings with 90~120FPS. 240Hz refresh rate is buttery smooth. Overall a very beautiful looking and slim laptop Cons: This thing gets hot, and I mean SCARY hot, from basically doing nothing. The laptop will be asleep but slowly continue to get hot for no reason to the point of it being almost too hot to touch, this makes me worry about the longevity of the laptop. Lastly, the battery life is a joke, do not expect it to last more than 5 hours while browsing, and 1-2 hours while gaming. Advice : invest in a good cooling pad.

Asus Quality with a Minor Setback
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who generally doesn't care for laptops, I must admit this has changed my views. I prefer Asus when it comes to desktop motherboards, so I figured an ASUS gaming laptop would be the way to go. This thing checks all the boxes: Fast, sleek, and a fair price tag for what it contains. I personally felt it fell a little short with the RAM, but that was an easy and relatively inexpensive upgrade. The one issue I have with this laptop is the screen. The screen itself is fast and crisp, but I have a stuck pixel in the top right corner. I did some research and found that ASUS allows for up to 5 stuck/dead pixels on their screens. Seems like an odd allowance from such a reputable company, but I like the laptop too much to make a complaint. The stuck pixel is in a pretty discreet spot which also helps. Aside from that, great laptop that I highly recommend!

Great gaming laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really enjoying this laptop so far- its able to play all of my ganes on Ultra level settings and the fan isn’t as loud as last years (2022) version- the 3rd fan is a great addition- however the computer does heat up regardless.

Excellent Laptop for Size, Price, and Features
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop in October 2023 to replace my MSI gaming laptop. My MSI served me well, but I was getting ready to play Cities: Skylines 2, and if you know about this game, you know it is poorly optimized and needs a beast to run. Not only is this laptop able to run it well, but it runs it well on ultra graphics! The only time I have had issues with it is when playing Satisfactory on ultra graphics with a lot of saved data already, but this seems to be more of a CPU limitation than the GPU. The battery is also a heck of a lot better than my MSI, all while being just about the same size and same weight. I am also a student and the battery easily lasts me most of my classes before it needs a charge; even then, it can fully charge within about 30 minutes for me and she is back to business! The RTX 4070 in here does not play games (figuratively speaking). This GPU packs one of the most powerful punches of any laptop GPU I have seen yet. I have even compared it to some of my friends who have dedicated GPUs for desktops, including an RTX 2070, and it still runs better performance-wise than theirs does, which is amazing! I only caution you to be weary about benchmarks. I have found benchmarks tend to be vastly wrong and highly underestimate this monster of a GPU. The build of the laptop is also quite amazing. The sleek chassis isn't a super premium one, which you wouldn't expect really for a laptop, but is still made of premium quality and is genuinely shocking with how well it has held up with me (I am very clumsy and sometimes drop my electronics!). Outside of the laptop, ASUS and BestBuy customer service and device support have been nothing short of exceptional. I have not had many issues with this laptop, outside of things that are my fault of course, but BestBuy and ASUS have always been there to help me and willing to go above and beyond to make things right. If you are in the market for a new gaming laptop, this is it. This is the one.

Excellent gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop is very good for its price if not the best in my opinion. It was delivered very quickly, just in 1 day and the laptop is compact, lightweight for the typical gaming laptop. I like the style, and the pretty cool sound when it turns on. Performance-wise it is fast, can run any game, image is clear and rich in color. The sound is very clear, keyboard lighting pattern can be changed. I played Alan Wake 2 and it performs very well, fans are not very loud and when played using headphones I don't even hear them. Overall, that's a very good laptop. If you are hesitating whether to buy it or not, I suggest you buy it!

Could Not Be Happier
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop as a replacement for my aging ThinkPad, and also to for gaming in the evenings and on the weekends. The RTX 4070 has handled everything I've thrown at it, and the Core i9 has barely broken a sweat. Solid build quality, with a great looking "business black" finish, and the RGB keys can be configured to solid white if you prefer a more professional look. Performance is excellent so far, absolutely zero issues with frame rate or graphics lag due to operating temps. It runs Starfield at high settings across the board, and has no issues even when I don't use a cooling pad. Sarah Morgan definitely likes this laptop :)

Solid product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a TUF FX505dt, and so far I am very impressed. The build quality feels amazing and the whole chassis seems to be magnesium alloy. The downside of this is that the chassis gets hot when gaming as the heat from the chips conducts right through the chassis. The screen and speakers are both very impressive, even on the IPS model. The performance is solid, though I'll leave it to the professional reviewers to discuss how good it is.

Solid 1440p gaming laptop with excellent versatili
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a solid gaming laptop, and can easily handle anything else you need to do, screams at 1080p and will do 4k but lower settings. I set power limits because the CPU isn't clockable, but it's an easy workaround. At factory settings it runs a bit warm, which is fine if you're going for max performance but unnecessary in my case. Solid keyboard and track pad, nice screen though I'd like to try the mini led screen on the 4090 models at some point. Overall a great choice and for the money it's hard to do better.

Fantastic Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second laptop from the Zephyrus lineup, my previous being a G14. I upgraded to the M16 for the larger screen and higher resolution for use when traveling for work, it has seen more time sending emails, working on reports, and CAD. Laptop offers expandability with both RAM and storage, I was able to upgrade from the 16GB (4800MTs) to a dual channel 32GB (5200MTs) kit without issue. It was listed as the max speed supported officially. It has two M.2 slots, one empty and ready to go with preexisting mounts/screws. I experienced an issue getting the laptop to see the second once installed. As it was a 2TB Samsung 990 Pro, I wanted this as my primary drive and opted to install this in the primary slot and reinstall windows. This solved the problem of not being able to see the device in windows through the disk manager or in diskpart. If you're going to reinstall windows for a blank slate, make sure to have all your drivers on hand prior. You will need to install two drivers before installing windows on this laptop during setup. Battery life while browsing web, sending emails, and working with the MS Office suite is ok, it'll get me through 6-8 hour day without worry. I haven't had a bad experience playing games, display works fantastic at the 240hz. The 8GB of VRAM isn't fantastic, it would be better off with a 12GB buffer at the 2560x1600 resolution, but that is on nVidia. Overall, if you can pick it up for between $1,400-$1,600, it's not a terrible deal.

Impressive Performance and Design
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased a new computer, and I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance and design. From the moment I powered it on, I could tell this machine was built for efficiency and speed. The processor handles multitasking effortlessly, whether I'm working on intensive projects or streaming HD videos. The sleek, modern design of the computer is another standout feature. It fits perfectly into my workspace, adding a touch of elegance with its minimalist aesthetic and compact size. The build quality feels sturdy yet lightweight, making it easy to transport when needed. One of the aspects I particularly appreciate is the vibrant display. Colors are crisp and vivid, which enhances both work and entertainment experiences. Whether I'm editing photos or watching movies, the screen delivers excellent clarity and detail. In terms of usability, the keyboard is comfortable to type on for extended periods, and the touchpad is responsive and precise. Connectivity options are plentiful, allowing me to connect all my peripherals without hassle. Overall, I'm delighted with my new computer. It combines powerful performance with a stylish design, making it a perfect choice for both work and leisure. If you're looking for a reliable and aesthetically pleasing computer, I highly recommend considering this model.

Excellent laptop.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Asus makes the best laptops hand down. Great fan profiles but can get loud, as expected. I don't think i would of wanted the mini-led screen version, this screen is great and i have not experienced any kind of tearing. Great color too. I upgraded the ram using a corsair ddr5 16gb module and added a samsung 980 pro ssd. Best laptop I have ever owned.

Nice laptop for heavy tasks.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best laptop for gaming and doing heavy tasks, I cam from a PC gamer and I can say that for the compact size it has there is no complains about the performance, it does what is supposed to do without any drops of performance. I love the design because it doesn't look like those regular gaming laptops, it looks more casual and I love it, the fact that you can open the lid with one hand it's another plus. The display quality that's amazing :D

One of the best laptops money can buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.what can I say? I am very pleased with this laptop. I've been playing Outer Worlds and Skyrim on this laptop...no problems so far except for one mod on Skyrim that caused the game to crash. As for battery life, I'm using it like a desktop (plugged in) No, problems with over heating with the I9 chip. This is my 3rd ASUS ROG PC. My previous ASUS ROG I bought 12 years ago is still running strong. I hope this one does too....

Amazing but returned for better deal.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was an excellent laptop. the 4070 paired with the i9 13900H was a portable power house. it was quiet in performance mode and super loud in turbo. performance was the sweet spot as the 4070 reaches its peak performance at around 100 watts and if im not mistaken i think performance limited it to 80 Watts. no issues once so ever. I did return it though as i found a 4080 laptop with an i9 13900HX for about 300 dollars more so i did end up returning it. But id be lying if i said i didn't miss it. the build quality and overall look of the laptop was a touch better than the acer predator 16, which is the laptop i after i got a refund on this one. If i could have gotten a 4080 version of this laptop i would have done it in a heart beat but the 4080 variant of this laptop is just too expensive. the form factor is so nice and my new laptop is much thicker but it is more powerful.
