Sounds like airplane but good quality of construction

From the unboxing to the setup and registration, it was enjoyable, easy, straightforward, and has not let down.

I really like this laptop. Two downsides are I needed to install a secondary SSD drive and increase the RAM. Unfortunately, the Best Buy version of this laptop has these two items downgraded compared to what is sold on the Asus website. I chose this route because of the better reputation of the Best Buy stores.

I had similar problems to other people in the reviews as my first laptop (brand new; not open box) was faulty. Not sure exactly what the issue was but the laptop had obvious hardware issues as my laptop would randomly power off while doing tasks. I returned it for another new laptop. However my efficiently working laptop, now, is great. I am an architecture student (halfway through my degree) and regularly use programs like Adobe products (illustrator, indesign, photoshop), Rhino, AutoCAD, 3DS Max, Unreal Engine. For rendering you need a good graphics card and this laptop has smoothly dealt with the heavy workload. I don't game that much but I played Stray on this laptop. Most arch students have gaming laptops because they come with great quality graphics cards. I talked to various peers and some other laptop models came up in conversation but ultimately decided on this one. I'm happy with my decision. I was using a 2017 macbook pro prior to this, so this is a major upgrade!

Love this laptop! However, I have been wondering why the screen goes black anytime I plug or unplug the charger.

Nice computer so far. Easy to use. Battery life is also good so far. A bit pricey but I think we are satisfied up to this point.

First and most importantly, my unit also has 8gb of ram soldered to the motherboard despite there being an asus rep having claimed these units would have 16gb soldered. I am deciding between this unit and a G15, so this isn't a deal breaker for me, but it is very disappointing nonetheless that asus provided incorrect information. Know that you will be more limited in your ram than some info on this page suggests. As to general early impressions, the screen is gorgeous, and I'm a big fan of the 16:10 aspect ratio. The wifi was significantly faster than the g15 (30mb and 50mb download respectively). though I don't mind the g15's speed, the m16 wifi is FAST. The keyboard feels basically identical to the G15, both being very nice. Same goes for the track pad. I don't have much need for a Webcam, but windows hello is nice and works more consistently and easily than the fingerprint scanner on the G15. Performance in games has been really strange. Performance in "performance mode" has been wildly inconsistent. The M16 chugs and runs extremely hot playing some games that the G15 (with a 3070) has absolutely no problem with. Deathloop, Halo Infinite, and splitgate in particular ran much slower and much hotter on the m16. Other games I tried ranged from about equivalent between the two, to slight increasea for the M16 while often running hotter. Only one or two games played a lot better on the m16, and even that wasn't a significant increase. Turbo mode is very loud but drastically increases performance to be more in line with what I expected. More games ran at much higher fps and temperatures were significantly lower (below 70 where in performance it was regularly above 80). I haven't tested the g15 in turbo mode so I don't have direct comparisons there. In the next few days I'll dig around with the drivers, try some troubleshooting to see if I can get some better and more consistent performance, but I don't have much interest in spending my time trying to get what should be the basic level of performance out of a machine All in all I was very excited about the potential of this machine. In theory it seems like it should just be a straight upgrade of the g15. Marginally newer internals, a bigger screen and Webcam in the same size body, and new gen ram seems fantastic. But between the misleading Q&A indicating this machine would have 16gb of ram soldered when in fact 8gb is soldered, and some really perplexingly inconsistent and often poor performance, it's really hard to justify this over the drastically less expensive and seemingly more consistly high performing g15.

Best gamibg laptop ever had!Ultra grafics setting no latency at all! I wold recommend and it fast!

So glad I bought, works very well, and looks amazing, speakers are so loud it hurts my ears.
