The m16 z603 is a great labtop , however a lot of people out there need to think about two main things before buying a gaming labtop , one thermal system , two TDP and power limits . This labtop will shutdown and throttle under very heavy loads of gaming if your gaming on ultra or extreme settings , it gets extremely hot . I tried two different ones and same thing . Two power limits . I’m sorry but if your buying a 3070ti and above , especially a more powerful card you need to have at least 175 watts to properly feed its gpu . It makes a big difference in performance . It’s a small compact labtop that’s good but sorry it’s really not good .

completely shut down while in use after only 8 months. wont charge, wont turn on etc... only used once or twice a week. never traveled with it.

Best bang for your buck. Lots of options, fast CPU/GPU, great display.

All I can say is be careful closing it. I bought last years model and my son closed it with the mouse USB adapter on the keyboard and the screen was ruined. It did not shatter but you could not use the laptop anymore.

The laptop was great but I kept hearing creaking sound from it when I wasn’t touching it and I didn’t like the feel of it. Other than that it worked fine but I decided to return it.

Honestly thought it was going to be fantastic considering the price, however it runs very hard; gets very hot; and needs to stay plugged in. Thankful for the return policy

Asus ROG gaming laptops strike again with a new suite of 2022 models, and it doesn’t look like they are slowing down anytime soon. I’m pleased to say they took what was great about about last years models (m16 respectively) and made some welcome improvements, not without its caveats though. Lets get into it. Beauty and the beast pretty much sums up this machine, with a nice matte black finish and the power to rival some of the best high end rigs out there. Admittedly this bad boy is not as lightweight as I’m used to, coming in at almost 5 pounds, but that’s not too much of an issue as I won’t really be hauling it anywhere. Still no side numbered keypad, not sure when we decided to make a move away from those, but that’s a small gripe. I will say the fans aren’t as intrusive as some are saying, but I tend to stay in the sweet spot of performance mode. The rig itself can get a little warm but it wont be noticeable unless your two inches from the screen, since the fans do blow upwards. It could be a flaw but it doesn’t bother me. Featuring an intel core i9 12th gen at 2.50 ghz paired with an Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti gpu, on paper the value here is almost unmatched. Priced just over $2k these days seems fair when you factor the range and portability. You're most likely here to see how she handles gaming, well worry not. I've had about a week to do some testing and I was able to run most of my games high settings flawlessly. Turbo mode just takes it even further with an impressive display of ray tracing on provided apps. You can comfortably play just about anything on this laptop and won't run into any systemic hindrance. Battery life isn’t much of an issue since I’m almost always plugged in but I did squeeze out about 6 hours on a full charge while playing cyberpunk, with rtx on. Oh and the included TB of storage is actually around 790 gb of useable space, so keep that in mind. The display is gorgeous and the added HDR makes the screen even more vivid. Having the higher refresh rate at 165 hz is smoother than ever, the higher the better I'll say. The speakers and sound haven’t had much of upgrade but still do an outstanding job. Playing music specifically sounds better here than it did on the previous model. If you wanted a reliable gaming laptop, you really cant go wrong here. I'm thoroughly impressed with its power and I highly recommend this product. One thing i'd like to see differently is for future models to be more upgrade friendly, like the ability to install more RAM in both slots, that would just be the icing on the cake.

I wanted to upgrade my ROG laptop that I got from bestbuy about 4-5 years ago so that my daughter could have the old one to play an online MMORPG with us. This laptop is amazing. I have come to really expect the ASUS to deliver. Speed is great, game (guildwars 2) runs great, and teh graphics are amazing.

Specs and screen are great, good brightness and speakers are okay not the best. Biggest con is the fan noise when you have it on turbo and it gets really hot. I swear you can get first degree burns

Super for a brilliant college engineering freshman. Might need an external 4K monitor to beable to read the small print, though. His grandma has a desktop with the same specs and thinks it is good enough.

It's a really great laptop, even i get few time black screen then restart, but it's not usual event. However, it's not hdr screen, but support dolby vision, it's weird.

Good laptop: But I wish I could have gotten it with a number keypad and a touchscreen. Also, Windows 11 is a terrible letdown. It's not nearly as customizable as all previous editions.

Runs EXTREMELY hot. I didn't even play any games. Just letting the thing idle on the desktop, no apps running, and it runs hotter than it should. I worked with every fan setting, got a laptop fan base, but it still ran hotter than it should (aside from those that run at startup/what was installed by default). It comes with 16gb memory and 8 are used idling. I'm not sure if that's the laptop or Windows 11 just being a hog, but it doesn't leave room for much else.

I had high expectations for this. Works fine but the keyboard surrounding surface area is some type of rubber material that cannot be cleaned. Smudges and marks from your hands are permanently embedded in the surface; I've tried everything to clean it to no avail. It's embarrassing and gross. Regret spending $1600 on this. ASUS, want to trade me for something decent?
