It's a great compromise for those who want a gaming laptop, but also a sturdy workhorse for productivity. If you can find it on sale, this is a great deal. PROS: +Gorgeous vibrant QHD screen at 165 hz +Extremely fast read and write performance +Sturdy and feels well built +Comfortable, bright RGB keyboard +Loud, clear top firing speakers +Thin bezels allow the laptop to be compact for a 16" +Unique lid design with reflective pattern CONS: -Vents blow hot air toward the screen -Status lights right beneath the screen can be distracting -Deck coating shows fingerprints like crazy -MSRP is excessive, though deep discounts brought it to much more reasonable prices.

Was purchased to run Davinci resolve, and this cuts through 4k video editing pretty well, probably as fast as my desktop 3060ti.

So Many Problems

Do not buy this laptop! Runs so hot that even simply typing is uncomfortable. Forgetting about using this laptop on your lap unless you want to burn yourself. Display either has dead pixels or backlight bleed (or both like mine did!). And ASUS lying about the soldered ram being 16GB not 8GB. I don't know how they are charging so much for a laptop when so many people have a variety of irreparable issues straight out of the box. We need a bingo card or something for the amount of issues that have already come from this thing within 1 week of release.

ASUS Lied about RAM

Asus describes this model (GU603ZW) on their site here https://rog.asus.com/laptops/rog-zephyrus/rog-zephyrus-m16-2022-series/spec as having 16GB on board and 16GB dimm for a total of 48GB max capacity. Best Buy is selling this exact model with 16GB of RAM. The question was asked on here “would this laptop have 16GB on board?” which the ASUS team had confirmed on 2 separate questions that yes, there is 16GB on board with an open slot to upgrade additional RAM. This is not true! The version that Best Buy is selling has 8GB on board and an 8GB DIMM making a max capacity of 40GB. I dont know why ASUS provided the wrong info here… or why Best Buy is selling this odd sub version of this model… you may want to hold off on buying this and wait for other manufactures to release their versions of the 12th gen and 3070ti with the high res screen as they may have better upgrade options for RAM.

Crashes my game every time. Forced the cpu to restart 3 times in a row just now. I know the stats look good but this thing sucks
