Customers commend the ROG Zephyrus M16 for its impressive performance, stunning display, and crisp graphics. However, some users report experiencing significant fan noise and heat generation, particularly during gaming. Concerns were also raised regarding battery life and the keyboard's design. While the lightweight design is appreciated, potential buyers should consider these trade-offs.

Amazing Mid-Range Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful display, keyboard is good enough, speakers are also pretty good. Gaming performance on it is very impressive given the thin design, it does come at the cost of loud fan noise but that is to be expected with its form factor and the fact that it’s a gaming laptop. Thermals have been pretty solid but long periods of gaming on intensive games will make the keyboard rather hot to the touch. You will experience discomfort using it unless you opt for a separate keyboard like I do. Thunderbolt ports are great, use one for my main monitor and the other for a usb-c to usb-a hub. Battery life isn’t great but this comes with a MUX switch, be sure to utilize eco mode if you’re trying to eke out as much time as possible on battery. Can’t complain, definitely great value if you catch this on sale!

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just upgraded from an ASUS Tuf Dash F15. There is a huge difference, obviously. It’s just fast and smoother! Graphics are a lot better. The computer has a face scan along with pin to log in which is pretty cool IMO. Screen is a great size, it’s also nice and sleek! Charger is pretty huge.. but that doesn’t bother me. Battery last 3-4 hours. Also if you unplug it while gaming it reduces its performance. The main bad thing I don’t like it can get pretty loud when it’s going full performance and gets pretty hot. But that’s only at the top of the keyboard, near the screen. I even have a laptop cooler under it constantly, doesn’t make much of a difference. Overall, it’s a great laptop for the price. I chose it because I needed something to travel with that can withstand games I play. And I would choose this over my custom PC at home! Would recommend for a starter laptop if you have the funds for it!

One month later
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using this laptop for about a month now, and am very pleased with it. It does get quite hot when gaming, but nothing unusual for a gaming laptop. Temperatures have always stayed within a safe range. Battery life fluctuates depending on what you're doing. If you're playing games, expect and hour or two. If you're doing more web browsing, you could probably stretch it out to 6-8 hours provided you switched to silent mode. The fans do get very loud sometimes while gaming, but they do a great job a cooling. As for its overall performance, it handles anything I throw at it beautifully. Everything I've played runs at at least 60fps at max settings, usually a good bit higher than that. When it is not plugged in, performance will drop, but that is to be expected, still does a great job regardless. The display is absolutely gorgeous. Very bright and full of color, as well as a silky smooth refresh rate. I planned on hooking this laptop up to a TV most of the time, but so far I've been enjoying the screen on the devices much more. The touchpad is huge compared to any other laptop I've used. Not sure how I feel about this yet. It is very responsive though. Keyboard feels pretty good, nothing special though. Speakers are average. The price point may be a bit steep, but if its ever on sale, it is well worth it.

So many problems
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Manual fan mode is broken. Runs hot. Loud fans. Not much faster than last year’s laptops, but way more expensive. Plus Best Buy has started scalping GPUs under their total tech program, so it’s not a good place to buy from anymore. Not even Newegg stoops that low.

Posted .Dear ProGamer,
It's unfortunate to hear that the unit is hot and the fan is loud. It is normal for the desktop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load, especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update, and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. Please refer to the FAQ below. What A Shame!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the main reasons I bought this laptop was for desktop replacement (gaming, light photo and video editing) The display had caught my eye while I was in best buy. I picked up my laptop yesterday and opened it up. I noticed a scratch on the display. When i started the 1st boot it really showed with black background. Also a couple of bright pixels showing. This is not the quality I expected from Asus since my desktop has many Asus parts.

Terrific gaming and all around performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First and foremost, this computer has been an absolute joy to use. Sure, it has some minor flaws/quirks, but between the screen, the refresh rate and raw power, it is something special. It’s definitely thick, compared to other high end laptops (like Surface Laptops and Macbooks) but it is well designed and sleek. It’s hard to find too much to complain about. For my job, like most of us, I use a computer everyday from emails, to word processing, spreadsheets, giving presentations, etc. On the side, I like to game, edit videos and photos. For me, I don’t really need a high end gaming computer for my job, but I like having one machine that does it all. On the other hand, I don’t want something that looks too outlandish (not saying I don’t like gaming computers’ design, I just don’t want that screams gaming) and isn’t too bulky to carry around. And I need decent battery life. Since I type so much, the typing experience is something that factors into my choice of computers; I use a mechanical keyboard for my desktop. For the most part, this ASUS computer crosses all of those boxes. I think at some point, when picking a computers/laptops (or all tech for that matter) for your needs it ultimately boils down to subtle preferences as there’s a lot of similarities across types of computers. I can’t say for certain this model is the one for you, but if you are in the market for a do-it all computer, or even for strictly gaming, this one definitely needs to be on your list to consider. IN THE BOX The box is surprisingly slim, and only contains the laptop and charger (there’s also a protective fabric that goes between the screen and keyboard, which I mention because I use it ALL the time). Disappointingly, there’s no protective sleeve. I’ve seen Acer in its Nitro line provide a protective sleeve. SETUP The setup is similar to any Windows computer. However, there are a few things I wanted to point out based on my experience. These could be Windows 11 issues, or it could be ASUS issues, I don’t know. But there was a ridiculous amounts of updating when first setting my computer up. I’m talking close to a dozen restarts. This includes opening up the ASUS Armoury Crate (where you view PC performance and adjust settings) and MYASUS, which is the program needed to upgrade components to the latest firmware. Long story short, it was a lengthy process. This was the first laptop I setup with Windows 11 out of the box, so it may just be the norm, but it seemed like it was a little much. My bigger issues came from downloading PC games and pertinent software. Downloading Epic Games, Steam, etc. no issue. But it has NVIDIA GeForce experience, which I rely on to optimize my games. Despite this PC’s power, it can’t run every game on the highest settings. As explained more below, I’m not one that takes joy in tweaking the most minute settings to optimize performance. So, GeForce is nice for me. Whether it was the ASUS computer itself, or user error, or NVIDIA, I just couldn’t get GeForce experience to bring up user settings and therefore, optimize my games. It took a lot of Google research and trial and error to get it to optimize SOME games. Good news is that you can obviously adjust graphics settings in-game, but like I said, sometimes I just want to open a game and play. Not the end of the world of course, and it may not be specific to this computer, but annoying nonetheless. DESIGN AND FEATURES As I mentioned, this is a sharp looking computer that doesn’t scream gaming. You can game and still take to board meetings so to speak. It has a cool design in the top lid. There’s some tiny holes on the top lid and when the light hits it just right, you can see a cool metallic rainbow shimmer effect. There are ample ports, unlike most ultrabooks. There is a USB-A on the right side, a USB-A on the left, 2 USB-C (3.2) and an HDMI out. It even has ethernet and a headphone jack (if that’s your thing). Last, it has a microSD slot on the right. I very much appreciate that, but I do wish it was a full SD slot size, as my mirrorless camera still uses those cards. Nonetheless, it feels like having any type of SD slot is a plus. There’s no fingerprint reader, and in my opinion, that’s a good thing. I found ASUS’ fingerprint readers to be flaky at best. Instead, you have Windows Hello which I found to be super responsive. The bottom of the laptop has 2 huge rubber bumpers that run the length of the laptop. This helps raise it off the table for increased airflow. It also gives you something to “grasp” when holding the laptop in your hand. They are really sturdy and prevent the laptop from budging when in use. The screen is QHD and has a 165hz refresh rate. Once you use it, you won’t want anything less. Typing, gaming, scrolling websites, all are extremely smooth and fluid. The screen is, in my opinion, the perfect size. I’m used to working on a large screen on a desktop, so going to a 13 inch laptop seems so cramped. But I also find lugging a large laptop around annoying. While I wouldn’t say it’s a happy middle ground in terms of lugging a large computer around, it just feels like the perfect size. In large part because of the bezels. There are virtually no bezels to speak of and the screen almost literally covers the entire top of the laptop. It’s also plenty bright, I don’t know about the nits or anything like that, but all you need to know is that it gets PLENTY bright. In fact, I keep it at about 60 percent brightness even when plugged in. The screen isn’t a touch screen, which is fine by me, they tend to get too dirty from my perspective, not to mention that they aren’t always practical, especially when the screen doesn’t rotate 360 degrees; which this one does not. The screen can actually bend backwards until it’s flat on the table. Not sure why you would want or need to do that, but it’s there. And it hinges from the bottom, giving space for the exhaust fans. There are exhaust fans that point towards the screen and one on each side of the laptop. When using the computer for everyday tasks, you won’t hear anything and won’t feel any heat. But when you fire up a game, the fans will roar to life and portions of the laptop (above the keyboard and even around some parts of the middle of the keyboard) literally get too hot to touch. I can’t comment on the engineering and whether that’s a shortcoming of ASUS or something you have to live with when having this much power, just pointing it out. The heat wasn’t so much of an issue, but when you’re gaming on the built in speakers, the fan noise is definitely noticeable, almost to the point of being too distracting. Last, I want to point out a little about the innards. I had a spare gen 4 M.2 SSD. I’m happy to report that this laptop comes with 1 built in 1 TB M.2 with gen 4 speeds, and has a second slot. One of the first things I did was open the laptop and put that second drive in. The performance was incredible. I transferred about 70 GBs of data between the two, and I was hitting multiple GB transfer speeds per second. It took about 30 seconds to transfer it all. Some of you might already know about the speeds these new M.2 SSDs deliver, but it’s still amazing to see it in real life. There’s also a slot to put more RAM in; it comes with 16GB and is upgradeable to 48 GB. From my perspective, I don’t see the need to upgrade it, but again, nice to know the option is there. GAMING PERFORMANCE Frankly, it goes without saying that this laptop is a beast in the performance department. All you have to do is look at the components. Rather than speak to data driven numbers, frame rate, GPU cores, etc. I’m just going to give my anecdotal take. (I’m also assuming any game is optimized). I was just awestruck at the graphics and the smooth framerate. Early on I tested out Tomb Raider (the rebooted trilogy), GTA V, Cyberpunk 2077 and Lego Journey. I had absolutely no stuttering in the framerates in any of these games and had smooth animations from the high refresh rates at all times. This computer is pushing out almost ultra graphical settings, with the latest and greatest NVIDIA DLSS tech, at QHD resolution and keeping up. The details in all the games, but especially Cyberpunk, was astonishing. It’s hard to put into words, you need to experience it, but I assure you, you will not be disappointed. Another thing, everything just loads so quickly (as you would expect). But again, it’s something that you just can’t appreciate until you see it. It takes less than a minute to double-click on GTA V and get to playing, where, on my GTX 1050 desktop (with similar components) the process can take minutes. It’s just refreshing to see the change towards faster loading times, it makes a huge difference. KEYBOARD/TRACKPAD My biggest complaint probably comes from the keyboard. The typing experience is fine, insomuch as there’s plenty of travel and “clickiness” to each key. What I don’t like, is the lack of a number pad. I’ve come to rely on a number pad in any computer 15 inches or bigger. It’s comfortable to type on, but it seems like there’s so much wasted space (to be clear, the space isn’t wasted, it does have some pretty nice speakers flanking each side of the keyboard). I would have preferred a number pad. The keys light up and you can adjust the settings which is a cool feature. Not that I would personally prefer to type in the dark, you definitely could as the keys are backlit and easy to see with no lights. The trackpad is pretty darn good. First it’s huge, bigger than I’m accustomed to, which is a big plus. It’s extremely responsive and accurate. Zero complaints on that front. BATTERY LIFE I think it’s expected that gaming laptops are going to perform poorly when it comes to battery life. Frankly, I would assume when most of us are gaming, we’re stationary and near a plug which eliminates this as a concern. But overall I found the 90W battery to perform admirably. From a pure computing perspective, the

Definitely A Beast!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop so far has been a beast. I can play any of the big name games with no problems I was disappointed when looking for this laptop that I could not find one in the 3080 series but when I came across this particular model this was the only laptop that gave me the high end CPU of the i9 and a DDR5 no other model had DDR5 so this was a step up from every other model even some of the 3080's that I did find from other companies. I was extremely happy to see this was a TI which brought it closer to a 3080. I feel the speed and responsive of this laptop and am extremely satisfied with its performance so far on every level it also has a great display and refresh rate. This laptop is amazing and was a great compromise in price verses getting the best power overall it was the best deal of its time and I have zero regrets in purchasing this laptop. I do however have to add that from the onset I realized the power in this little beast is extreme and with it brings some heat so I suggest you get some additional fanning to try to keep it as cool as possible if you like to have longer gaming sessions. I have never experienced a problem with overheating in game only happened once and that was because I did not have the extra fanning on and the game had all the bells and whistles on. Even then nothing major happened just kicked me out of the game and I realized the chassi up at the top under the screen was very hot to touch so let the fan internally come to a normal spot again and turned the external fans on and then continued gaming with no problems. The other reason for the heat is battery life on this laptop not bad for gaming laptop but notoriously gaming laptops are pretty bad in general so I always stay plugged in so I dont have worry about the battery but it contributes to the heat too. This is not helpful for on the go gaming I understand that but I did not purchase this for that reason I kinda know they are not super great on battery life and I am using it as my only means of PC gaming at home. So that is really the only negative is having to provide excess fanning which I do not think is something not common to high powered laptops they have a good cooling system its just in general the venting to a laptop in smaller this has a nice system just needs some extra air flow to truely help. Highly would recommend this version but now the newer bigger badder gpu is out so this is a great budget option that gets the job done so far!!

Sleek gaming and content creation powerhouse!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: I've been meaning to grab a laptop for school since I am studying in game audio so I needed something powerful enough for working on Unreal Engine, Wwise, Reaper, and Ableton Live for my game projects and classes. I am happy to say this laptop suffices for that very well while not having an annoyingly obnoxious "gamer aesthetic" design. The laptop looks nice with just enough and works a treat in terms of performance for the software I use and also gaming/content consumption for leisure. Screen looks great, speakers sound good, very portable, ballin' performance. Cons: Be warned, this thing picks up fingerprints very easily with the soft touch finish so look into a laptop skin if that will bother you a lot. I will also say that yes the laptop can get super loud like an airplane on higher performance modes since this baby gets pretty warm when running more demanding apps or games but I haven't found it too uncomfortable since I wear headphones and mostly use the laptop on a desk. Armoury Crate's Eco mode and Silent fan settings make it dead quiet though so that works well for light gaming and browsing though! Would've been nice to have a 1080p camera instead of 720p. Neutral: Armoury Crate software that controls things like lighting, fans, performance settings etc. works well when it works well but I had to uninstall and reinstall it for it to work properly after just getting this laptop. I'm not too bothered by the fact that this Best Buy model has the 8+8 RAM configuration instead of the 16+16 RAM configuration advertised on the ASUS website but it would've been nice to have that 16+16 given how pricey the computer is but I suppose that would raise the price even more. I think the 8+8 is fine unless you really know you need more. I will likely upgrade later. You can still upgrade at least by replacing the non-soldered chip. Battery life isn't very good with 4-7 hours depending on the configuration of settings but that shouldn't be an issue if you always have it plugged in or charged before you leave the house etc. These are the trade-offs for the sheer power we get packed into such a lightweight beast. TL;DR Regardless, I am very happy with the purchase overall and would strongly recommend for anyone wanting a laptop with subtle gamer looks, can run games and content creation software well with portability, and has the money to shell out for it.

The latest and greatest from Asus
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gaming PCs were so crazy starting a few years ago for me; I was somewhat disillusioned getting my first rig and realizing I basically got an empty box with LEDs inside, great price though. Once I was done getting all the components, main CPU, graphics card, memory, SSD, etc. I blew close to $2k getting it all set up. It was quite a process researching what I wanted to spend and getting the most compatible products. I suppose you could still go that route today, but from experience, I've decided it's best to get one preconfigured in laptop format for around the same price with less headaches. This newest Republic Of Gamers (ROG) laptop from Asus really ticks all the boxes and packs incredible power in such a slim form factor. I was really impressed with it and found few flaws and none I couldn't live with, except for maybe the price. Unboxing the unit felt quite premium with a briefcase look and the little fulcrum propping the unit up as you open the lid. Striking first view of the holographic screen lid the way it shimmered in a kaleidoscope of colors. Charger is slim and compact yet powerful at 240w, should charge the 90w battery in less than a half hour. The unit is built quite sturdy with a premium feel across the top and sides, the exposed grill when closed has a certain aggressive look to it. I like the rubbery texture layer surrounding the keyboard, feels smooth and comfortable though smudges and doesn't do anything for fingerprints. It feels lightweight and thin for what's inside, like it employs some kind of 4th dimensional spacing to fit it all in. It has all sorts of ports which is great for me to plug in my external clicky keyboard and gaming mouse. All USBs are 3.2, 2 type A, 2 type C (1 thunderbolt4, 1 display port w/power out) and your typical HDMI out, headphone port, and MicroSD. The USB-A on the right side was pretty tough to get into, hopefully will loosen up a bit with time. Immediately upon booting it up, the screen took me by surprise, the vibrancy, the depth of color, the hues, and I'm only on the start-up screen. They've certainly done a great job reproducing colors on this 2K, 1600P screen, the blacks look OLED quality! Great for graphic design, the screen is Pantone certified ensuring the color you see is the color that will be rendered in real life. The built-in AI in the Nvidia RTX 3070TI does a great job picking the right properties for whatever you're doing which includes how fast the images refresh. With 3ms latency, using the MUX switch located on the Armory Crate app, discrete mode forces all processing to be handled by the GPU rather than going through the CPU's processor. My old laptop with 1080P and 8thGEN i7 is far behind this Zephyrus M16. When playing Fortnite, I could pick up serious latency issues and the game would frequently crash. The Asus plays flawlessly, no surprise there, at nearly twice the price, twice the memory (16GB DDR5 expandable to 48GB) and ridiculously superior processing power (14 cores, up to 5Ghz). The rich graphics with adjustable modes and amazing sound really put this in dream machine territory together with classic gaming machines like RZR or AW. As soon as I start playing Fortnite, the fan kicks in as I typically have it in performance mode when connected to the adapter. I figure Turbo mode offers only minor performance enhancement and slightly brighter screen, but the fan is quite loud and unless I wear headphones, it's too much. Like many reviews point out, the fans sound like you're in an airport, well not that bad, but you get the gist. It's not a deal breaker, considering this has more computing power than the average desktop. It comes with a fast PCI-e 4.0 1TB SSD, but don't worry if you need more, there's a second slot. The speaker setup on this thing really has me scratching my head how they put all that rich bass in there without making the keyboard tremble. Seriously, where do they fit 6 speakers?! The backlit keyboard is big enough for my long fingers with satisfying travel and quiet strokes. The Arua app allows you to adjust the light effects either on-screen or by toggling the F-key. I personally use an external keyboard and mouse for gaming, but find it quite comfortable to type writing this review. To sum it all up, I think this is a really good gaming laptop with super premium graphics and sublime sound. I'd wait until the price comes down a bit though. It's a great unit for graphic designers, film editors, cinematographers, and anyone that requires a top spec screen that delivers true to life Dolby Vision and Pantone certified color rendition.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this thing. I really liked my ROG Zephyrus G14 with the 2060 and figured this laptop would be a good successor. It's much bigger but the benefits of the upgraded features are worth it to me. The screen is lovely, the keyboard is great, and the trackpad is as good of trackpad as I've used (its Macbook good, seriously). The screen... it's really nice having the 16:10 and 2560x1600; you can leave windows scaling at 100% and with the large 16" you can still see it all. Very clear, very sharp, very bright. CPU performance is ridiculous and GPU performance is pretty good; its still a laptop so a desktop GPU whips it down, but for a laptop I've been able to play most things at over 60fps at native resolution. It is slightly loud and kind of hot on your lap. Running games hard some of the keys get pretty hot but the ASDW keys stay cool enough. I wish the Wifi was a bit faster, I wish the 3080ti was available, and I wish it had 16gb soldered. I added a 32gb chip from crucial and now have 40gb of RAM and CPU-Z still reports it as quad channel. Cinebench scores went up a touch after the upgrade (5943 to 6002) so dual/quad channel is still engaged. Battery life is acceptable at 5-6 hours of chrome/basic photo editing/writing/etc. Price was a bit high but for the screen, 14 core processor, and 3070ti it was worth it to me.

Best Bang For your Buck
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I knew going in that this series of laptops will have 8GB of Ram Soldered on or 16 for 32GB models, but for the price you can't go wrong. You won't get that gorgeous display or these high-end specs on anything else at this price point. This unit does get hot and loud, but that's only when gaming AAA titles at high settings. I'm sure Asus will eventually drop an update to address these concerns. I suggest if you are on the Fence then just pick one up and try it out... what do you have to lose? BestBuy has the best return policy in the game. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

Productivity Powerhouse
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is coming from a use-case that is 80% productivity, and 20% gaming. I picked this laptop up because I needed a system that I could use while traveling that could provide workstation-like performance on the go. I need to drive multiple monitors with graphics-intensive charting software, along with more mundane office work. In downtime, I use the system for gaming etc. This system delivers for everything I need, and then some. Appearance and design: The computer is sleek, thin and light. It has a similar footprint to many systems that lack discrete graphics. The system looks modern, without having a try-hard gaming aesthetic, which makes it at home in an office or coffeeshop without attracting unwanted attention. The screen has TINY bezels but it retains the webcam that many gaming systems overlook. The screen is beautiful, with a sharp picture and enough brightness to use outside in the sunlight. The 16x10 form factor gives plenty of screen real-estate. The keyboard is fantastic and the trackpad is large and accurate. I/O: The system has GREAT I/O. Thunderbolt 4 for me was a must. I use the TB port to drive 3x 4k/60hz monitors through a Plugable dock when at my home office. Additionally, the additional 2x USB-A and 1x USB C makes it so you may not need a dock if on the go. ASUS included USB-c charging, which is HUGE for mobile productivity, as it lets you extend out battery life through a portable laptop power bank. The Zephyrus also retains a wired networking port which is key when latency or bandwidth needs to be immediate. Performance: I dropped in an additional 32gb RAM stick to go with the soldered on 8gb, bringing the total to 40gb. DDR5 is nice in that you don't lose any memory bandwidth with mismatched sizes. Additionally, I added in another 1tb NVME drive in the extra port on the motherboard. Upgrades were easy and took minutes. As to the performance... Wow. When you crank it up is simply amazing. I'm able to run the 4k/60hz monitors x3 through a thunderbolt dock without it really even breaking a sweat. You can run everything, all the time. With the 40gb of RAM, there is enough memory and CPU threads to power anything you need to do. The 3070ti with 8GB RAM will be overkill for any gaming or software you need to run. There is enough overhead that you can really dial in your settings to find a sweet spot for heat/sound and power consumption. Avoiding turbo mode, the fan sound is acceptable and not overly loud. If you do crank up to turbo, it will start to sound like a jet engine, however. I think they need a little more time with the ASUS Armory Crate software to really dial in the manual modes, but I can keep the system on silent mode for any regular productivity tasks, and then performance will keep the fan to an acceptable level during most tasks. Truthfully, I rarely use the Turbo mode, as performance will do almost anything I need to do whether productivity or gaming. Gaming performance is fantastic, but other reviewers are probably more knowledgeable than I, so I defer to those reviews. Battery Life: You're really in control of how much battery life you can squeeze out of the system. It's not going to get you 10 hours, but it's a fairly acceptable 5-ish hour life if you turn off the discrete graphics, and turn down the performance. Additionally, you can grab a USB-c power bank to extend that performance out another few hours since the system supports power delivery over USB-c, along with the power brick. In a perfect world the system would have a little more power efficiency, but the current package is adequate for most needs. Conclusion: The Zephyrus M16 is a productivity powerhouse. If you need a system that can give workstation performance, in a small sleek package, this is the system for you. It has great I/O, Screen, Performance and Packaging, and the only quibble would be to ask for a little more battery life. I highly recommend this computer.

Great product but not sure if its worth the price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lots of reviews about specs and youtube video reviews to choose from so i wont waste time with details. From a simple perspective, I am impressed with the technology packed into such a small package. I travel quite often for work so i wanted something smaller more like a 15 inch but this was the smallest i can get with a 3070ti and the 16 inches isnt too bad to travel with on flights and is still very light. Doesnt feel or look cheap, fans are not too loud even without headphones and it runs modern warfare II flawlessly, along with horizon 5 and many others. Does get hot and the only thing i dont like is the price especially with the moderate upgrade choice. And yes, thats a low blow to the ram issue everyone is complaining about, but i really dont have issues with it. I do wish with the price tag it came with a 2TB hard drive. Great laptop but ive also have been out of the pc gaming community for almost a decade. 4 stars as I'm still debating if its worth the price.

A fantastic versatile gaming machine
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this for two weeks now and it has never disappointed. Runs all the latest games in 60+ frames, and can also run photo and video editors with no issues. The battery life impressed me for a gaming laptop at over 4 hours of life, although it was with both silent mode and eco GPU on in the armory crate. The fans can be loud and it can be hot while gaming, but nothing new for a gaming laptop. A very versatile machine. My only issue is my model came with some slight screen bleed, but it isn't noticeable outside of a pitch black screen.
