"auto" randomly pops up during game play as well. Mouse movement and clicks are intermittently unresponsive and lock ups often occur. I have 22+ years building pcs and spent a full day trying different things. Ive searched all the FAQS on the Asus website, updated the bios to the latest version. All windows and driver updates installed. Tried Armory crate on all different settings, even "windows control" settings option and set it all to performance, that didn't fix it as it has helped others on forums. I tried to reset the laptop and began from a fresh factory install (again) with the same results. I made every attempt to get it to perform correctly. Set the Fans on full blast. Always had it plugged in. I even added a separate ssd, performed a clean install with zero add on software. Set all windows and power options to performance/game mode and still got the choppy/stuttering game play. I can only assume I got one of the bad ones along with a couple other reviewers on here. The specs are great and I wish it worked well. Best buy does not have anymore in stock and I'm not about to register it to go back and forth with tech support for a week to send it out and be without a laptop.
