Perfect All-Around Gaming Monitor

The refresh rate is great and the colors are a lot better than many of the TN high-refresh rate panels. I'm coming from a 27" 1440p 144hz Acer TN panel and this Asus has much better colors and provides an overall better gaming experience. I'm using an Nvidia Geforce 2080 Super and it works great with the Freesync variable refresh rate feature. Being this is marketed as a gaming monitor, it also has menu options to display cross hairs on the screen which could be helpful when playing a game that doesn't display them. I ordered two of these monitors and come to find out one had a damaged screen which I'm guessing was from a shipping mishap. I ordered two because I think the price for this monitor is a great value for a 144hz IPS panel thats manufactured by a very reputable company (Asus). One of the downsides I have noticed is some slight ghosting when playing fast-paced first person shooters, but I've read IPS panels are known for that. I much rather have a little ghosting in trade-off for much better colors and picture. Another gripe I have is the 3.5mm audio jack is an input, not an output. Every monitor I have owned was designed with the 3.5mm jack as an output. I like to be able to have sound from an HDMI-connected Xbox One X to be played over external speakers.

Not great but no bad .

There is some tearing without Vsync on in games and a little bit of ghosting as well but nothing noticeable unless your looking for it. All in all amazing monitor

There's some pros and cons of course. Pros: > Nice IPS display > Good colors > Nice and bright > Highly adjustable Cons: - Requires fiddling to get the colors just right - A decent bit of ghosting and smearing
