The ASUS TUF 31.5 WLED curved gaming monitor is flat out fantastic for gaming! The case is very sleek & cool to look at and it makes me what to turn my desk just to display the housing case. The monitor BIG and is a bit heavy due to the stand but to me that just means it will not fall over since it has a great base. I have already spent many hours running through the streets of Verdansk and could not be happier (with the monitor not the game, jk). The curve combined with the overwhelming bigness of the screen is 2D VR. The screen is large but not so large so that your eyes become stressed from bouncing around looking at different parts of the screen. My other monitor is also genuinely nice and what you would call a high-end monitor but is a couple of years older and only runs at 60hz. For most games this is fine and seems to play at optimal performance but when playing a graphic intensive game like COD WZ, the165hz makes all the difference in the world. My PC does have a NVIDIA graphics card and switching my monitor from the imbedded G-Sync in my other monitor to the ASUS TUF AMD Free-Sync I had my concerns that I would not be able to recreate the beautiful color scheme that I had finally tweaked for WZ since it is so dark and hazy with the overlay and shadows. However, without having to use the installed additional software on my pc the monitor’s out of the box presets are PC gamer friendly. First off, the monitor's basic color tone is Bright and Colorful. I mean there is a 100% difference from my business monitor screen, my laptop screen, my TV, and my other monitor. The color of this screen is just more vibrant and beautiful. So, I switched to FPS and ran a BR quads and during the session I lost the gulag and took a couple of minutes to adjust the monitors color settings to what I consider perfect for my game. I have not touched the color controls since. I found previously that I was always jacking with the brightness or other features to find that certain sweet spot on my other monitor. This is the reason I switched from XBOX to PC was because the PC just makes games prettier or allows the user to do so. I have also played several other genres of games, where just the preset delivered phenomenally. I have watched a few things and again on the right presets everything is perfect and the 2560x1440 delivers. I could not get into the EMLB but it seemed to do the best on fast moving games. A bit unnecessary if you asked me but someone else might like it… The speakers are Ok but not quite what I thought they would be. However they are louder than my laptop’s speakers or my other monitor’s. My understanding now that I have been on PC for a while, is that the PC drives the car, but the monitor is the Car and with this analogy in place; this monitor is a Lamborghini Urus. It is a work of art on the outside and a monster on the inside! It is a monitor that I brag on, revel at, and highly recommend.

I've been using this for about a week now, and I gotta say for the price it's a solid option. I got it on sale for $289.99 and that's a good price for it. I didn't have any problems with dead pixels and setup takes about 30 seconds after you get it out of the box. I love the stand, you can change the height and angle of the monitor. The stand is sturdy and isn't intrusive. My favorite part of the monitor is the refresh rate. It's 144hz with HDMI (165hz ONLY with display port) and it's magnificent. So smooth. It also boasts a 1ms response time. I can't say for certain if that's accurate, but it definitely is snappy and I haven't noticed any lag in controller or mouse response. Display color is probably the biggest downfall. It just looks mediocre. Definitely not bad enough to be distracting, but I would not be doing any sort of color work on here. The calibration options in the monitor settings are also pretty small. HDR is pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Better than the default color calibration. The display also gets PLENTY bright. I've been using it at = or < 50% brightness day and night with no issues. If you run it at 100% brightness, the monitor will auto dim if it heats up too much. Speaking of HDR, note that it's impossible to change the color settings or display mode with it enabled. In your OS make sure to turn HDR off if you want to change the display mode or color settings. The monitor didn't come with a user manual and the online one didn't mention this so thought I'd save you the headache of thinking something was wrong with the monitor. This monitor is HUGE. I didn't realize how big 32" was until I set it up on my desk and practically my whole field of view was taken up by the display. At this size 1440p is barely enough (It is 1,000x better than 1080p, though). I would only recommend this size at 1440p if you will be viewing it 2.5+ feet away, otherwise go for something a little smaller. Any closer and you can start to see pixels. Overall it's a solid monitor, especially for the sale price. It's on the low end of the 1440p budget, but with some minor color calibration I think you'll be plenty satisfied. It comes with an HDMI cable and DisplayPort cable. It does have a powerbrick style power cable, so be prepared for that. I'd definitely recommend this monitor to a friend.

Out of the box you can feel the quality. The box alone is massive. The setup of the monitor with its stand in box is very simple, just a screw in mount attached to the base. I really appreciated Asus including both a HDMI and a display port cable in the box. It  included stand has great ergonomics with the ability to adjust any at height, tilt and swivel. Instantly the first thing you notice about the monitor is the curved screen. In gameplay you feel more immersed than playing on a flat screen. It's curved enough so you get that immersed feeling but not too much where it sticks out in your desk alot. This monitor also has an awesome feature that I rarely see on gaming monitor in it has built in speakers that allows you to connect your console and/or PC without have to have separate speakers which is a huge plus for those in dorms or in a room where its the only screen because of space constraints. The quality of the speakers built into the monitor sound okay for normal video and console use but for competitive gameplay I suggest getting a headset or external speakers. The image quality on this monitor is amazing. The black levels are great and the colors are vivid. The screen is very responsive and the 165hz refresh rate you can feel the response rate just takes it to the next level. This monitor is an excellent monitor for those upgrading from a 1080p or even upgrading your 1440p monitor. It has perfect size, refresh rate, color accuracy, style, and its curved. For the price your getting this powerhouse for a steal.

The first thing you will notice is that this thing comes in a huge box. I suppose it is due to the room the curved screen needs, but wow it it huge. The plus side is that you know it is not damaged in any way. I unboxed it, which was kind of difficult, you may want 2 people to make it easier. It includes a power supply, HDMI cable, and DisplayPort cable. It is very high quality and you can tell by the textures on the casing, the swivel base and the curved screen. Everything about the design screams "gamer". I love it! I hooked it up to my gaming laptop and started using it. My laptop only outputs FHD so it doesn't fully utilize the UHD function. I first ran WWE 20 and it looked good. I wasn't overly impressed. But then I tried Resident Evil 2 HD and wow! It popped off the screen. It looked better than any way I have played it before. The game automatically runs through an image optimization when you first run it, so that is why it let me unlock peak performance from the monitor. I could not stop playing it and marveling at the visuals. I was in gamer bliss. I then connected my 4k Blue-Ray player to it and put on a movie. You can switch the monitor's mode from UHD Game to UHD Movie. And wow the image was incredible. You can tell the refresh rate makes a huge difference. I would not mind watching all of my movies on this monitor. Overall I would say that this is a must have monitor if you are looking at gaming with a super sharp display and love clear and crisp visuals.

This monitor has exceeded my expectations in both looks and performance. While I'm not using the stand because I have a monitor mount on the wall, I wish I was because it looks awesome and is solid. I have played a few games on it and can confirm that I got 165Hz consistently. I didn't have any ghosting or any other issues with the display. I love the curve of the screen as it feels way more immersive. I've got it connected with the included DisplayPort cable and setup was a breeze. I don't know if this will benefit anyone, but there are speakers built into the monitor that work well enough for me, although I usually use my headphones while gaming.

TLDR: Besides a couple gimmicky options, a great, extra large, gaming experience. I have this giant monitor hooked up to my gaming PC with an AMD 5600x, RX 6800, with 32GB of 3600. I really like this monitor, once you get your settings to your liking (took me about 30mins of gameplay with tweaks every couple mins), it games phenomenally well. Immersive, great colors, great refresh rate. HDR modes might not be to your liking, and some of the menu options do little/make things worse, but otherwise, great gaming/viewing experience.

Amazing monitor perfect size, has almost no detectable lag while playing first person shooters, simple easy plug and play and best of all it has flexibility with the swivel option. this is perfect for gaming, and also watching movies. couldnt ask for more ASUS has done it again.

Amazing gaming monitor that was practically made for console use. Very fast response time and the build is very solid. I also enjoyed trying out the different picture modes. The only issues I found was minor, no USB Port and you need to use the Display Port to see 165Hz.

The monitor itself works and looks amazing software wise. Mechanically, the monitor is slightly tiled down to the right and the "optional" back panel piece is very easy to unlock by mistake. Barely able to see the curve in the monitor's display. As a new primary monitor, with raytracing games and "office work", it is one of the best monitors out there.

No instructions and monitor shuts off randomly for a second.

Tried one curved monitor of another name-brand and the edge distorted miserable. This ASUS one doesn't. Connecting to Macbook Pro also ok except the need to downside the resolution or the menu fonts become too small, which is a typical compatibility issue for the Apple products anyways.

I wanted to love this monitor because my entire build is a TUF pc, but I can't get over the ridiculous amount of black smearing when objects on the screen are in motion. It's extremely distracting during gameplay and headache inducing. I don't know if it was just my unit, but a gaming monitor that can't play games is pretty useless. I returned it the next day but I may pickup another just to see if it was a faulty unit. If you have had a different experience with this screen please let me know.
