    In my opinion ASUS has hit a home run with this laptop. It's got all the right components necessary to play the most demanding games. Intel 11th gen Core i7 CPU, Nvidia RTX GeForce 3060 graphics card, 144 Hz refresh rate monitor, 16 GB RAM, and 512 GB SSD. I'm currently playing War Thunder and Wolfenstein II, they load quickly and play flawlessly. It has ports for just about everything. There are 3 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB-C port, 1 HDMI port, 1 3.5mm pin jack port, 1 ethernet port. The monitor has a non-glare matte finish, the keyboard is responsive and the keys are sized right. The WASD keys are translucent and highlighted, and the keyboard is backlit a kind of eerie green which I think is pretty cool. The speakers are okay but presumably if you're gaming you're going to be using headphones. The overall build quality is very good and it's a good looking laptop. While the case is plastic, it seems pretty durable. A big plus is that this machine comes with virtually no bloatware, only the basic MS stuff and some ASUS apps to enhance the user experience. It's a clean, fast machine. If there was one thing I would change or add, I wish it came with a 1 TB SSD. You can use up a lot of space quickly with games. But I understand ASUS is trying to be competitive with price and performance and overall they've done an outstanding job. I think anyone who buys this laptop would be delighted with the performance for the price they pay.

    Windows settings just wouldn’t open I tried reinstalling the settings through power shell eventually I just reinstalled windows. So much for geek squad certified. I love the laptop but considering I had to fix it myself idk a discount or a gift card would be nice for my work haha.

    Bad motherboard

    Stopped working a year after purchase. Brought to a repair shop and they told me that it was a fault with the motherboard. Since the motherboard is combined with the gpu, I would have to pay well over $600 to get it fixed. The warranty ran out a month before it stopped working. Cannot recomend buying to anyone.

    Waste of money

    Advertised as being VR-ready with the RTX- 3060 but plugging in my Rift, there is no way to get it to use the RTX over the integrated graphics. I spent countless hours trying to figure it out, even though I selected RTX in the Nvidia app it hasn't resolved the issue. Then I decided to use Best Buy's support which is a total joke. Kept getting told to go do basic things like "turn it off and on" and "make sure the cables are connected". After being transferred numerous times the last guy told me to talk to oculus. Okay so you can't tell me a basic solution on how to get an app to use the special GPU instead of the integrated graphics. Got it.

    Hmm 10 days after it’s 1 year anniversary it broke. Was a great laptop until then. Turned it on for RuneScape one day and wouldn’t recognize the gpu, wouldn’t detect my 2nd display, nvidia control panel wouldn’t open, and will not accept new/rolling back to old drivers. Seems like the mobo went bad maybe? Pretty disappointed as my warranty ended 8 days ago. Scared was ASUS is going to charge for a fix. Wish me luck

Please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. To resolve the issue, if the GPU is not being recognized and cannot detect secondary display, please try to run System Restore to revert it to the last known good configuration.     This machine is quite glitchy. It will log itself out. Screen flickers when using full TGP. I've owned 5. They all are the same way. I did return the first to BB, but then realized they are all basically the same.

      Check if the laptop is running with the most current Windows and video driver update in order to resolve the system glitch. Regarding the flickering screen issue, please ensure the chipset driver was up to date and WINDOWS update are installed. Also, please try to connect the laptop to another known good power source or AC outlet and away from electronic or electrical devices that maybe generating excessive electrical or RF noise. Uncleaned power source or faulty electrical or electronic device that is generating excessive electrical noise can disturb static-sensitive devices or components in the laptop that may cause the screen to flicker.

    Reconsider. Deep regret.

    The Sleep/Wake/Hibernate on this device is among the many reasons to find it almost intentionally frustrating, as if they're trying to squeeze more money out of you when a year later you can't turn it on without doing a HARD RESET every time you leave it alone for 5 minutes. Constant overheating even on "silent" setting, especially if you try the Sleep modes. Genuinely insane, but the Sleep mode is the reason to avoid. Also the screen is like if you dumped 2% milk on a 50% brightness LED screen in the back of a NYC taxi.

    I purchased this system for my son for Christmas. Very quickly we had issues and I brought it in twice for repair. The 2nd time it was replaced because it was having too many issues. Then I had to get additional repairs because the monitors would not connect properly to this laptop. Now we brought it in for repair again and it may need to be replaced. Very unhappy with this purchase as this will be the 4th repair and 2nd replacement in 6 months!

    Junk. Over heated and artifacts. I wouldn't buy this laptop. Keep in mind I bought mine pre used.

    I just got this laptop. The first problem I got is nvidia control panel does not have a display option. I can not fix the black bars in cs go. And I don’t what is going on, but cs go avarage FPS is 174, with 4:3 video settings are pretty much on low. My old laptop with icore7 and 9th gen gives me 230 avarage. I feel like I need to turn something on or set it up better on this laptop, but right now it is not working well.

    After a month it won’t power on

    Not happy at all with this laptop it runs very hot 67-70c on idle. A little after a month one day it did not power on for some reason. Took it to Best Buy for warranty repair and they quoted 3-6 weeks! That’s insane! So I called asus and they told me there would be a 7-10 day if I send it to them. I’m still waiting on the laptop. I have a comparable hp omen that runs much cooler and I’m much happier with.

    When I received this laptop, I was excited to unbox it and try it out. Out of the box, it is impressive. It is lightweight yet it feels solid. The graphics are great and it runs faster than my son's higher end gaming laptop. The resolution is awesome. The keyboard has a great backlight. It is green not red like backlit keyboards often are. The edges of the machine are nice and smooth. It is comfortable to rest your hand on it. We have another gaming laptop that had edges that were so sharp that it actually sliced my hand open. We have loaded it up with gaming software as well as CAD software and a slicer for 3D printing. It is quick and responsive. Overall I think that this is a great gaming laptop for the price. It has made a good impression on me and the other gamers in my family.

    Poor performance

    CPU and gpu have power limitations, also de fps while gaming. It’s frustrating. As I bought this laptop during a vacation, I don’t have warranty unless I go back to Miami. Asus doesn’t bring any useful advice beside of updating bios and stuff (which I already did). Just don’t buy this one.

    I tried to buy it at the launch and I bought it but days later they canceled it for my payment I contacted the bank and they told me that they canceled the order in the end it turned out that they canceled the order but they processed it and the order finally arrived when I I had already bought another laptop

    Screen glitches out 4 days past the return period. Best Buy will not allow me to return it, I’m in college and I have to have a laptop. Do not buy. Very common issue if googled.

    Stopped working after a couple days of use and bestbuy gave me a hard time accepting the return even though it was within the return period. In the end they accepted the return after wasting an hour of my time. Bought 5 of them for the office but probably will be returning all of them.
