The battery life is approximately 5 hours of light to medium workload. It will drain faster than normal while running games or power hungry applications. In order to improve or prolong the battery charged time, please try to do a battery calibration manually. To start with, please drain it completely then charge it fully without using the system. Once fully-charged, please use the system, without the AC adapter connected, and drain it completely again. Please repeat the charging process thereafter. Also, please verify if the laptop is running with the most current system update and third-party battery draining applications are not running if not in used. Although it would power on, the screen display would continue to be off and stay black. I tried to return it but the return period was closed (14 day return period). I got it "fixed" by Best Buy GEEKSQUAD in March 2023, but the problem remains currently and they would not fix it unless I paid out of pocket. I am a college student and need this laptop for my schoolwork. If anyone is looking to buy this, DON'T. The laptop I purchased has never been dropped and yet a problem had occurred early on.
