Customers are saying
Customers value the TUF Gaming 27" monitor for its overall performance, phenomenal refresh rate, and comfortable screen size with HDR and height adjustability. The curved screen, HDR support, competitive price, and state-of-the-art graphics are also appreciated. However, some customers have noted that the 1080p resolution can make the picture appear less sharp than desired. Overall, the monitor seems to offer a compelling experience for its price point.

In a word... Beautiful.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't ever owned a curved monitor, so stepping into this type of display with this monitor was a wholly new experience for me as I'd never understood the hype. Suffice to say, I get it now. The monitor is gorgeous. Out of the box the color reproduction seems to stand a cut above the rest, the curvature is a delight to look at, and the high refresh rate of 240Hz results in smooth visuals that are basically incomparable... So let me get a little more specific. Packaging is about like any monitor, it comes in a large (larger than you'd expect because of the curve) cardboard box, inside is the manual, 2 cables for connectivity (1x HDMI and 1x DisplayPort) and the power brick. It's important to note that this monitor uses a power brick instead of the standard AC power cable that most monitors have used in the past. Setting it up is a breeze, just screw on the base, the monitor is fully articulate, moving up and down on the stand as well as swiveling and tilting, really no issues with anything here. It's worth noting that the Displayport capability of the monitor is DP 1.2, however this is sufficient to fully drive the 1080p at 240Hz capabilities of this monitor. Now for the fun part... I loaded up Forza, I've played COD, I've uncapped the framerate on Diablo IV, you name it, I've done it... The visuals are a cut above, the curve gives an interesting "all the same distance from my eyes" feel to what I'm looking at and really makes for a wonderful experience. It's Bright, it's HDR, the color reproduction is amazing, and all of this in Asus' TUF brand which is traditionally their money-saving line. I have to say, it doesn't feel like a budget line monitor, every part of the build and every part of the experience really gives a wonderful look and feel. Would I recommend it? Absolutely.

Very Good Gaming (and all-round use) Monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS - TUF 27" IPS LED FHD G-SYNC Gaming Monitor with HDR is a solid choice for a gaming monitor. Actually, it’s a good choice for all-around desktop monitor needs. For my needs, it’s just the right size for my desktop set up. Not quite sure why, but I like the feel and view of this curved monitor set up compared to a previous curved monitor I had. The image is clear, smooth and easy to see. I really like the solid stand and the significant options for adjusting the height of the monitor. The tilt and swivel adjustments are, of course, helpful as well. I used it with my Acer gaming laptop and it was easy to connect and worked great. It took me a few moments to adjust to the bigger screen and faster refresh rate when gaming with the ASUS - TUF 27, it was that much of a noticeable improvement. As would be expected, it is also great when using it for normal computing tasks. For a 1080 monitor, with HDR, this provides an excellent image. A very nice addition to this product is that they included 3 high-quality cables for connecting the monitor to your computer. That was a great added bonus. Overall, this is a very good gaming (and all-round use) monitor for a great price.

The Ultimate in Gaming Experience!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new TUF 27" IPS LED FHD G-SYNC Gaming Monitor with HDR is an absolute game-changer for any serious gamer. This monitor combines stunning visual quality, impressive gaming features, and a sleek design to deliver an unparalleled gaming experience that will leave you in awe. Let's start with the most essential aspect of any gaming monitor: the display. With its 27" IPS LED screen, this monitor offers a truly immersive gaming experience. The Full HD resolution ensures that every detail is beautifully rendered, while the IPS panel technology guarantees accurate and vibrant colors from EVERY viewing angle. Whether you're exploring vast open worlds or engaged in fast-paced multiplayer battles, this monitor's display will bring your games to life like NEVER BEFORE!!!! What takes the gaming experience to another level is the inclusion of G-SYNC technology. By synchronizing the monitor's refresh rate with your NVIDIA graphics card, G-SYNC eliminates screen tearing and minimizes input lag, providing you with smooth and fluid game-play. This makes a significant difference during intense gaming sessions, as you'll experience crisp and responsive visuals that enhance your performance and immersion. No matter what! Additionally, this monitor supports HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology, which further enhances the visual experience. With HDR, you'll enjoy a wider range of colors and an increased contrast ratio, resulting in more vibrant and lifelike images. From stunning sunsets to intense explosions, HDR-enabled games will truly come to life on this monitor, allowing you to appreciate all the beautiful details that game developers put into their creations. Connectivity options are essential for any modern gaming monitor, and the TUF 27" has you covered on that front. It includes both DisplayPort and HDMI ports, making it compatible with a wide range of gaming consoles, PCs, and other devices. With multiple options, you can effortlessly switch between platforms and enjoy your games on the big screen. Plus, the inclusion of built-in speakers eliminates the need for separate audio devices, further streamlining your gaming setup. And for monitor speakers, they don't sound half bad! Of course I didn't get the monitor for the speakers, and neither should you. They will never replace a proper setup. But this feature does come in handy in a bind! Ergonomics also play a crucial role in long gaming sessions, and the TUF 27" monitor excels in this area. It offers height adjustment, tilt, and swivel options, allowing you to find the perfect viewing angle with ease. The slim bezels and sleek design not only add a touch of elegance but also enhance your gaming experience by providing a more immersive visual field. As a dedicated gaming monitor, the TUF 27" comes with a range of gaming-specific features. For instance, GamePlus offers in-game enhancements like customizable crosshairs and timers, giving you an edge in competitive gaming. The GameVisual presets optimize the display settings for different game genres, allowing you to experience the best visuals tailored to your game of choice. These additional features, combined with the impressive performance of the monitor, truly elevate your gaming experience to new heights. Finally, the overall build quality of the TUF 27" monitor is outstanding. ASUS has a reputation for manufacturing high-quality gaming products, and this monitor is no exception. Its solid construction and durable materials ensure that it will withstand the test of time, making it a worthwhile investment for any serious gamer. Excellent budget gaming monitor...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very good if not really good gaming monitor for the budget minded. The resolution is only 1080p which allows for great performance but then leaves some detail to look a little washed out in my opinion. If you look at the screen alone, you won't notice this but if you look at it next to a greater high end gaming or coding monitor then you can see the difference. It does have a great set of connectors and the controls are top notch when compared to other lower end gaming monitors. The brightness is good but again you will wish it was a little more brighter but bang for your buck it was pretty nice. The quality and packaging are really nice and it was extremely easy to put it together. I did like the ability to move the screen up and down and tilt for your preferences. I do like the size and feel it was nice enough that it leant itself to helping when doing home work and reducing all eye strain. The included cables are of great quality and make it useful for all home uses.

ASUS TUF 27" IPS LED FHD Gaming Monitor w/HDR
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I just received my ASUS TUF 27" IPS LED FHD G-SYNC compatible Gaming Monitor a week ago and have been putting it through its paces. Upon unboxing includes the following: * ASUS 27" IPS LED FHD Gaming Monitor * Stand Base and Tilt/Pivoting Arm * DisplayPort Cable * HDMI Cable * Power Cord * User Manual/Warranty Info Setup is pretty much straightforward, simply screw the base into the stand and that's it. The good thing about this monitor is that it van be wall mounted as well or used with a compatible mounting arm via the vesa connection on the back of the monitor. Also on the back is 2 HDMI ports, DisplayPort port, power adapter port, and a couple of USB ports. A headphone port is also featured on the back of the display. Though the monitor does not have a webcam, it does include integrated speakers. I connected this gaming monitor to both my ASUS Rog Strix Gaming Desktop as well as my M1 Mac Mini. I later tested out my Nintendo OLED Switch to it also. Each setup worked well with no major issues. Though sometimes the colors looked a bit washed out. The better connection was to my ASUS ROG Strix Gaming Desktop via the DisplayPort. Colors were also amazingly vibrant when connected to my Nintendo Switch. Gameplay on this monitor, no matter what was connected was amazing with zero lag. And the 240-280Hz refresh rate was like the icing on the cake; superb. I'd say at $280 you can't go wrong with this monitor. Nice curve for you to be take in a full view of of the game's surroundings. My only recommendation would be to add additional speakers.

ASUS at it again - best bang for the buck monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually go for larger screens, having not purchased or reviewed anything under ~34" in years. My daily driver (a workstation that doubles as a server) has two 49" ultra-wide curved (1800r, so less aggressive curvature) and I've gotten so accustomed to the extra real estate that when I saw this 27"er pop up for review I almost didn't bother with it. I'm VERY glad that I did, though. My gaming setup had a 34" flat panel, 120hz refresh and has been more than adequate for the last 2-3 years. I primarily play sports games (EAFC/FIFA, Madden) and driving sims (PCars, Forza, AC, RIDE, etc) so not a lot of shooters, but still a lot of fast movements and colors going on requiring an above average monitor to really make it all sing. This ASUS TUF is the slightly more curved design (1500r) which isn't as noticeable due to it only being 27", but the more time I've spent with it the more I like it. I've sat at a few of the 1000r screens and while it might be good for some styles or people, it is simply too much curve for my personal preference. The 1500r used here is a perfect balance and would likely be my choice going forward now that I am able to compare the 1800r on my 49" double stack to this 27" ASUS day-to-day. Ok, with that little bit out of the way the design itself it simple and well thought-out. I love that ASUS added a "compass" of sorts to the base so you can articulate/turn the mount arm or the screen itself and have a nice reference point. Many screens have allowed these ranges of motion in the past, but this is the first that I've used that has a way of referencing your current position. Simple but nice touch. There's no bright/shiny bits anywhere, just a splash of red around the aforementioned base and a little on the back. Also on the base mount and back panel is a "tech" etch design that ASUS has carried across most if not all of their TUF products. It is a little "young" and busy for my personal tastes, but the base is small enough and the back panel when facing a wall isn't really noticeable, so it isn't a huge aesthetic issue. I just happen to be someone who likes a stealthier design and isn't into a lot of attention grabbing design choices. This monitor strikes a great balance between those two worlds. Also, there's integrated RBG lighting on the rear which you don't even notice during the day while off, and provides a nice pop to those that enjoy such things. I do from time to time, so it's a nice option to have. Features-wise, browse through the specs and other reviews, you have everything you need to support a top-notch gaming build, with the one caveat being it only supports AMD FreeSync, not NVIDIA G-Sync (which applies to me). I'm sure there's a business choice behind this, but it is also why I'm deducting a star as I don't care about such things - offer both. That aside, 2 x HDMI, 1 x DP, and a USB 3.0 hub provide the usual input support while the button and "joystick" menu toggle are nicely placed and become intuitive rather quickly (something that can't be said for a lot of other monitors). So great job there, ASUS, it's a small thing but something I noticed within 5 minutes of messing around with all the settings within the screen itself. All in all, this is a great screen for any gamer that can overlook the lack of G-Sync support and doesn't want a MASSIVE display. The refresh rate and response time more than make up for it, in my opinion, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend who was in the market for a solid display that you likely won't have to worry about replacing for a few years.

Great relatively affordable gaming monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, with high end gaming monitors costing more than a couple thousand dollars, I just wanted a relatively more affordable one that made more sense for the average gamer. I really think that this ASUS TUF 27 LED monitor will fit the bill for the vast majority of people. Packaging wise, I was pleasantly surprised at the box design. It definitely came off a bit fancier than I expected. It wasn't the generic cardboard but blacked out with the ASUS TUF marking on it. Inside the box, I was also pleasantly surprised by how many cables are in there. It came with a DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB cable included on top of the power cable. I feel the budget monitors can be minimal with what they include so this was a nice touch. Setup was easy. In terms of real-life usage, I have to say that the features of this monitor are quite excellent. I think the curve can be hit or miss but its not too aggressive at 1500R and I think is done quite tastefully. The speakers are not going to blow you away but they get good volume. You can rotate the monitor too. The response time was great and the 240 Hz refresh rate is legendary. The image quality was about as good as you can get on an IPS panel. All in all, a great monitor for the average gamer!

First Curved Screen and I Love It!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over the last year I have put together a pretty solid gaming computer. I already have a nice 4k Screen but I have always wanted to try a curved screen. Not just for gaming, but for general use as well. This Asus Tuf 27” FHD Gaming Monitor is just what I was looking for. First thing I noticed as I unpacked my new screen was how nice the stand is designed and built. It’s quite heavy and very easy to adjust the screen up and down and to spin it from landscape to portrait orientation as well as being able to tilt it forward and back. The bezel is thin and the overall design is quite clean. Hookup up was easy and monitors should be. I appreciate in the inclusion of a display port and cable. Turning it on and perusing thru the menu options during setup was easy and intuitive. I actually tried it out first with my PS5 and it passed the test with flying colors. It looked great with solid colors and no tearing or motion blur of any sort that I could notice. Probably my least favorite feature of this monitor is the built in speakers. Not great, but not terrible. I suppose pretty average for modern screens, but I have better options so no worries here. However at the end of the day I prefer my PS5 on the big screen so I moved it to my PC to really try it out in all sorts of settings. As I mentioned this is my first curved screen and I don’t know if I would feel this way about most or all of them, but I LOVE how it looks for non gaming stuff. I wasn’t expecting this. I’m writing this review on the new screen. I have used Word and Excel and watched a lot of YouTube videos. There is something about reading off this screen that is less stressful to my eyes. Splitting the screen into quadrants has never been so easy to read and navigate. After being distracted for a bit with more basic tasks I went to my Steam account and tried a variety of games. It looks every bit and clean and cool and the PS5 did. A couple of my biggest and fastest coasters I ever built in planet coaster ride feel more crisp and clean on this screen. I played my Souls games, a racing game and a baseball. No matter what I tried, I was fine to thrilled with how my screen looked. After a few days of using this monitor I have grown to love it. I don’t think I’ll buy a flat screen for my PC ever again. I know curved screens are a very competitive market place but from what I’ve seen this one feels like a good value. If I knew someone with a budget in the $300 range and were looking for a new monitor, I would absolutely recommend this to a friend.

Fast monitor. Lacking HDR quality.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, if you're looking to get this monitor for the HDR then look elsewhere. No local dimming means the entire screen uniformly lights up and dims as scenes change. This decrease the contrast and make some scene washed out. I turned off HDR and never plan on having it on again. Even though it's only 1080p, the size makes it more usable. In most fast moving games - it's 280hz so you're playing fast moving games, right - you won't notice the the resolution. It'll mostly be in text in game or view web pages. Still I've used lower res screens for years so it's not a big concern for me. Set up is pretty straight forward and hooked up my Asus ROG desktop. SDR looks fantastic and doesn't leave me missing the raggedy HDR. Bright clear whites, deep shadows, and the refresh rate make this monitor a gaming beast. I haven't had a monitor that made the PixPerAn test look so good. The refresh rate keeps ghosting to a minimum. If you're looking for a 27" monitor, I'd put this at the top of the list.

Amazing monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this monitor. It replaced my other monitor and it is by far the best monitor i have used. The 1 millisecond response time makes a huge difference in winning and losing. You will need this monitor if you want to be the best of the best. There is absolutely no screen tearing, the smoothest picture money can buy and state of the art graphics. The curved display, if you’ve never used one will take some time getting used to but i promise it’s more than worth it. You will never go back to your flat monitor again. If you are a pc gamer, xbox or ps4/ps5 gamer, this monitor will benefit you in so many more ways than just one. You will become the best if you use this monitor. The colors are so vibrant and bright and you will be able to see everything without having to second guess yourself. If you are in desperate need for a monitor, this would be my first recommendation. It is so good for games like fortnite, valorant and grand theft auto 5. The monitor in my personal opinion is easily an 11/10.

nope look elsewhere for HDR and image clarity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If youre debating on purchasing this, please look elsewhere, especially if HDR is important for you. Within HDR mode, you are presented with a nasty, overly yellow tint. And unlike LG Ultragear, you cannot alter ANY of the settings in HDR, not even the brigthness. Apparently this is common for Asus to lock you into a default tint. While the image is (only) decent, there are far better alternatives in the same price range.
